0:30 mark, when you talking about fans contemplating what a 5 or 4 win team in the playoffs would be like. You say "truly uncharted territory". Then you go on to say "it won't happen this year, etc etc". You do realize the Giants can make the playoffs with a 6-10 record, right? The worst ever. Granted, it's not the 5 or 4.... but it's still "uncharted territory". Don't know if you mention the 6-10 thing later in the video, but just wanted to bring to light how the beginning didn't really make sense and contradicts itself. Also,I realize in a shortened season that the Browns and Lions only won 4 games. But you can't really use that as an argument, since you already said 4 wins is "truly uncharted territory". So there ya go :), you learned something new.

@@grumpyguy2877 Correct Jim Eddy was previous def coord. Bud Adams hired Buddy Ryan without even consulting Jack Pardee. Pardee and Ryan essentially ran their own (half) teams in 1993 - losing 4 of the first 5 games in 93, then winning out with 11 straight wins to finish at 12-4 - then losing the next (playoff) game, a home game vs Joe Montana and KC. That was the final straw in what ultimately led to the Oilers moving to Nashville.

The 1991 Jets controlled the clock and played stout run D, but Ken O'Brien didn't throw touchdowns, Pat Leahy was at the end (actually, the 1991 Patriots were okay, even flirting with the playoffs a little), and Blair Thomas was written off (some fumbles, lack of carries; Thomas just wasn't a special back, looks to me like the scouts overvalued him).

There is a reason Tim Tebow had an awful drop off in throwing accuracy and mechanics, from his years with the Florida Gators, to his transition into the NFL. What I believe happened was that he, and a group of others. Did their utmost to change his natural throwing mechanics. From his dangerously long wind up, "similar to the mechanics of former Bucks QB Byron Leftwich, but likely slower and with less lean" into a quick release style shown in the clips here.

You should do the best worst playoff teams (9-7 or lower teams that made it to the championship game or farther) Ex. 2009 Jets, 2012 Giants, 2008 Cardinals

The Oilers’ DC Buddy Ryan punched their OC Kevin Gilbride in 1993 not 1991. Buddy Ryan wasn’t even on the Houston Oilers staff in ‘91. Their DC in ‘91 was Jim Eddy. (The 1993 infamous Buddy punch happened in the first half of the Oilers v Jets in the final week of the regular season. Which was week 18)

5:56 - the Oilers beat the Jets 17-10 in the 1991 playoffs (Dec 29, 1991). The Buddy Ryan punch on Kevin Gilbride (Off Coord, not Head Coach) was in the regular season finale of the 1993 season (Jan 2, 1994)

As a Bears fan, I still remember that awful loss to Tebow and the Broncos. The Bears offense was deplorable, and if I recall Marion Barber made a horrifically dumb play near the end of the game where he went out of bounds on a run late in the fourth quarter. Had he stayed in bounds the Bears would've been able to milk the clock and seal the win.
I also remember Da Bears losing to that awful 2010 Seahawks team. I was in Disney World at the time and watched the game from the ESPN Zone there. What an embarrassment.

On the other end of this, one of the best teams to NOT make the playoffs: 1975 Oilers. Finished 10-4, and three of those four losses were by a *combined* total of 13 points.

As seahawks fan growing up i remember watching the game and hearing HOW we were the worst team not in NYC but nfl. And it's been gratifying to not be counted out no more and higher caliber team (i don't wanna think of our losses this year tho) its just nice and maybe soon the jets will get theyre chance like us and the browns, praise baker Mayfield

While not the LoB, that 2010 Seahawks roster was coming together. Kam chancellor, Earl Thomas, Walter Thurman, Arron Currey, and Chris Clemons. They we're learning Pete's scheme and the Hawk Tackle he brought from USC was beginning its revolution we have seen take over the sport at all levels.

That was 1993 when buddy Ryan punched Kevin gilbride who was offensive coordinator. It wasn’t a playoff game they had two byes back then so it was week 18 but it wasn’t a playoff game. There’s a whole nfl documentary on that punch and how it affected a already fucked up oilers team. EDIT: the jets did make the playoffs and lost to the oilers he’s right about that but the whole buddy Ryan punch occurred in 1993 and not 1991. That’s what messed me up. And coincidentally the jets played the oilers the last game of their 1993 season.
