Oh my God, i was trying to do everything but then I found your video, followed all the steps and it just started working now. Thank you so much, God bless you my friend!
Thank you, legend! Here are some things I tried in addition to following this video; 1. Ensured the correct BIOS was downloaded (Wifi, different veriants) 2. Extracted files to the newly formatted USB (thanks to this video) 3. Ran renamer in the USB file, deleting after correct 4. Use the correct BIOS USB slot, consult your mobo user guide Thanks again!!
You saved my day! I was having problems flashing my BIOS and all because my MB couldn't detect all my usb pens. Finally, after converting it to MBR, it is working. A big thanks!
thank you so much for this ,i spent three days trying to flash the bios on a dead system and it was dead end all the way and then i saw ur video and solved part of the puzzle, after a few discoverys system now is running, and for anyone going crazy on asus "q-led" "qled" if white and green and no boot use hdmi cable on gpu, thanks again
if you follow this tutorial and it still doesn’t work, try using the previous generation of bios files, or whatever’s second on the list of files on your website, thats what FINALLY got it working for me
Saved my day! Also in Asus TUF Gaming B550-PLUS the USB stick had to be put in the slot saying "BIOS" in the backplate. After that the led remained blinking until the update was done.
Amazing mate, you just saved me, I tried to do the BIOS Flashback on my Asus Strix B550-F Gaming with the lastest version of BIOS (version 2803) , having installed the AMD RYZEN 7 5800X. I pressed the button for like 2-3 sec, and the light was solid green. I thought I'll launch the pc out the window. I followed all your steps and it works, I can't believe it. Thank you so much! Big thumbs up!
i am experiencing the same issue now, please can you help me. I just built my pc, all the fans and rgb turn on and run at full speed which worries me. the keyboard and mouse receive no power from the usb ports and there is a orange light on dram led on the motherboard. I also cannot install the bios flash because of the solid green light.
@@ragefazzy5402 hi mate, on my case I tried to power on the pc and everything was working, rgb one fans running lights on motherboard. The prob was I was not getting any post or see the manufacturer logo on the screen… it was just pure black. I shut it down by holding the start button few seconds and than, on my other pc I formatted the usb to FAT32 and once that was done I have downloaded the new bios update from ASUS Website, Version 2803 as this was the latest one. I extracted the files and rename it as presented on asus website. I only keept the .CAP file and nothing else on the usb. I got the usb and inserted it in the correct spot labeled bios, pressed the button for 2-3 sec and it start flashing green, and immediately after the 3rd flash it changed to solid green. I left it like that for 20-30 mins while I was checking what the solid green means and I came across this video. I unplugged the usb, and insert to the other pc, I deleted everything was on it, and after I followed all the steps presented in the video. Make sure you select the right partition (the usb) else you will wipe everything you have on your pc. Once the usb was ready to use, I went back on ASUS website and I redownloaded the BIOS versions 2803. I have extracted the files on the usb, renamed the file, and deleted everything else except the new .CAP file which contains the update. I unplugged the usb and plugged back in the new pc. I inserted it in the designated BIOS usb port, I kept the button pressed for 3 sec and the light started blinking, this time I had no solid green light, it was just blinking green. It took less than 10 mins, and then the light turned off. I unplugged the usb and powered one the pc. It took a bit till it booted and I got a post. The PC was off for the whole time during the update, you only need the motherboard to be powered on, you don’t need the pc turned on, no fan should spin. Just keep the pc plugged to electric and psu button on 1. As long as you can see the lights on motherboard you are fine.
How about when your flash drive is already MBR format, FAT32, everything done correctly, and the light flashes a handful of times and then turns solid green? The light never goes out indicating that the flashback is complete.
@@darealmaul I solved the issue. For me it was the thermal paste on my cooler wasn’t evenly distributed. Once I cleaned it off with some Isopropyl alcohol and carefully reapplied it, it worked fine.
Hi, I'm from Brazil and your video helped me a lot! I was already giving up bc I had already tried everything and the light was still standing, so I found your video and that's really what saved me, so thank you so much!
Ok, not only did I have to convert my USB to MBR in CMD, I then had to go to disk management and allocate a new simple partition fat32. Then, after using the bios renamer and putting the bios file is the USB root, I then put it in NOT the bios flashback slot, but the BIOS slot next to them. It worked (Asus ROG strix b550-f gaming (wifi) bundled with Ryzen 5 5600x in a lian LI 011d xl case)
YOU ARE FUCKING CORRECT! OMG Hours trying to figure it out and the MANUAL WAS COMPLTELY WRONG I tried a diffent usb slot and Wala its flashing lets goo!! THank you!! :D
Wtf bruh I tried to rename this shit so many times changed flash drives tried both slots bios and flash bk port still no luck gonna try this tomorrow God dammit will update yall
This fixed it for me, i updated to newest Bios and i just had bugs with the newest one system go on and off, maybe after a few hours it decides to go into a power cycle. Older bios it will stay off when i turn it off :) I dont know what asus do with their bioses, but with expensive mobos they dont test it enough. Thank you for the MBR solution, apparently the newest bios dont read the usb as it should.
