I'm a 63 year old Scotsman and,I can assure you it was Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison and Mr Dylan who got me through my life up to now, outstanding story tellers in song, great reaction too
Awwwww don't forget Bob's idol and inspiration, your fellow Scotsman, Frankie Miller!! Bob covered Frankie's Ain't Got No Money for his Stranger In Town album, 1978 ~ Bob had mad respect for Frankie ~ Their vocal similarity is uncanny...
Probably the sweetest, most melodic gravelly voice, out there. And man could he write the words and deliver them with emotion. NO ONE does melancholy and regret like Bob Seger. The number of times I (and many many of you reading this) have cried while staring out a window, looking at the ceiling, or driving faster than we should have, while listening to Bob's songs over and over is something we probably don't want to share. A true legend
Seger said, “The chorus just came into my head, I was driving around in the Hollywood Hills, and I started singing .. I went back to my rented house, and there was a Time magazine with Cheryl Tiegs on the cover. I said ‘Let’s write a song about a guy from the Midwest who runs into someone like this & gets caught up in the whole bizarro thing’”. I saw Bob Seger in 1976 open for KISS with Ted Nugent!! What an amazing songwriter!! I grew up with his music!!
Bob is a story teller, serious, funny, or a little naughty Bob Seger is just a lot of fun “Come to Papa” “BettyLou’s getting out Tonight “ “Like a Rock” “Her Strut” “Agents the Wind” “Shame on the Moon” “Turn the Page” And so so many more “
You can never go wrong reviewing Bob Seger. He is the ultimate songwriter, musician and performer. Thanks for this. You should check out Roll Me Away or Like A Rock. 👏👏🥰
Can't go wrong with Mr. Seger the guy is a legend the soundtrack to our lives back in the 70s and 80s only saw him once that was in 1986 in Toronto, Canada.
Bob Seger is the All American Classic Rocker. from his writing to the tones of his voice and the way he delivers a song. Straight forward Rock n Roll just like his huge hit "Old Time Rock n Roll"
I LOVE this song! This is my favorite of Bob's Big Hits (juuuuuuuust edging out "Feel Like A Number") and I adore when my LA Kings play it as their victory song. For a long time, this was my favorite Bob Seger song. UNTIL…I discovered that Bob (and his manager, Punch Andrews) were ashamed of his struggles before his 1975 break-through, and had done their damnedest to bury his first *seven* albums. Not re-released, never on CD, probably not on Spotify. Which is a pity…because, I think the early stuff is *better* . Not just better than that damn truck commercial song, but better overall. But nobody plays it. Could I get you to take a flyer on "2+2=?" or "Death Row" or "Lucifer" or "Railroad Days" or "Someday" or "Back in '72" or "Twenty Years from Now"? That's one from each of those 7 albums, albeit "Death Row" was actually the B-side to "2+2=?" and the best version of "Someday" is from the 1974 Live album in Denver, since Bob adds a killer guitar solo that's not on the studio version. Give them a spin, please. Thanks for all your work.
I suggest Travelin’ Man / Beautiful Loser live. This version was the one they played on the radio. Most of the best stuff by him is his live stuff. I mean it’s all great. The Silver bullet live album is one of the best out there. Kinda like the J. Geils Band. Hope you jump into them soon?!
I love the short guitar chords at 3:03 and 3:04. That and the three notes from the piano at 2:46 I always wait for each of them when I play this one. And I always have a picture of the kid in my head standing by his car all by himself looking down at LA thinking, "what do I do now?"
I saw Hollywood Nights and I thought you were doing a movie review. LOL Hollywood Nights was a funny movie with a lot of good up and coming actors and an AWSOME soundtrack. Haven’t seen it for probably thirty years.

"She had been born with a face that would let her get her way," is one of the greatest lines ever.
"He saw that face and he lost all control" I absolutely 100% relate!

I love listening to Bob Seger. Dude can take you to the bar, ball game, or church with his voice. He is unreal.

"Famous Final Scene", "Her Strut", "Main Street", "Come To Papa" are all great songs from Bob Seger. 🤘😎
Yes, and Fire Down Below 🔥
One of the best songs ever! Still on my playlist today.
What a wonderful rabbit hole to go down! His voice is so gritty and to most women, smoky and sexy🙂. Keep them coming. Love your channel!✌️
Recorded and produced at the famous Muscle Shoals studio in Alabama
Betty Lou, Feel Like a Number, Rock n Roll Never Forgets, Horizontal Bop and The Famous Final Scene.
Seger was a hit machine, songs that are still relatable today. Great review by you, keep more Bob coming.
Bob Segers Night Moves is just epic.
Classic great 70's rock! Thanks for this and going through the rabbit holes of my era. I'm 63 and glad that I found you!
Here in Michigan we call him Uncle Bob ❤ Love Old Time Rock and Roll! ❤
Bob Seger. Love his music. Love his album Live Bullet.
Night Moves is one of my favorites. If you want to check it out.
Listened to this the other day, take note of the never ending percussion rolls.
❤Bob Seger forever

🤠 That drummer....
Like a Rock by Bob is very relevant to me now,as I’m a boomer.
What a ride I’ve had though.
