    • @ihatefallout
      @ihatefallout 3 года назад +3

If you're stuck in an instant gratification loop that you can't escape, then your not really living at present, the key phrase being 'at present'. Because there is still hope... it's called pain and you need to start seeing pain as your gift. It's the fuel that can lead you to your purpose. From this day FORWARD, you are not a person... you're a machine. You do not bend, you will not get tired; binge watch TV, play video games, scroll through other people's social media. Eat junk food, drink alcohol, go on dates or even see family and friends, if necessary. The real curse is to be complacent with mediocrity, 'happy' with not going to the gym. "Oh, I just want an easy life" well you'll never be able to appreciate the beauty of hell until you pass through it. Results take a very long time to achieve, there will be no instant gratification. So think of self-improvement like farming, you'll plant your seeds today; study, hustle, gym, whatever you need to do? and work on them every day for at least a year before you even start seeing results. Always remember that every day has the potential to become the first day of the rest of your life.

18/21 on depression and 10/21 on anxiety. I'm 21 and I've had depression diagnosed (alongside other mental disorders) for 2 full years now. Around December 2019 I felt completely wrecked and on the edge of ending my life, got into a psychiatric clinic and was prescribed like 3,4,5 drugs that I'd take simultaneously, 3 times a day (basically for the rest of my life). I only did that for 2 weeks - the feeling of being completely numb and drugged out of my mind, I couldn't bear it. Left the clinic, discontinued all contact with the psychiatrists and the GP that referred me to them in the first place, and quit taking the meds. I thought I'd push through by myself, I thought I was strong enough to make it out of that pit on my own. Turns out, 2 years have gone by and I'm still thinking about how life is absolutely meaningless, this shit ain't worth it, jumping off a bridge yadda yadda yadda. Loads of childhood trauma + very early introduction to porn and masturbation brought me here. I've started watching your vids lately and I really enjoy listening to you and trying to internalize your advice. Thanks for being such a kind and caring person, as you said in one of your other videos, like an older brother to many people here like myself. Stay awesome Hamza

I got 7 at depression and 4 at anxiety. I was never a sad person nor did I ever had depression up until recently. I have some anxiety when in public and this tims I was at a party and met a girl and I think I felt for the first time love (or at least that's what I think it was). It wasn't even about looks anymore, it was just something that gave me the butterflies averytime I was around her. After the party it wasn't that she rejected me, in contrary actualy, she really seemed to like me too, but I was too afraid to make a move and she stays in a different city so I can't really see her anymore. When I got home, it all rushed upon me: the stress from school, the problems I had and most importantly, the fact that I didn' make a move and now I lost that girl and there is no other girl like her. After all of this, I finally gave in and started crying/sobbing for the first time in my life because of depression. After that day, I tried and succeded to put all of that into doing work, and I got a lot of things done: I started doing some money, my schoolwork is doing much better with a little less stress, I started taking beter care of my body and overall life is just better. But despite all of the amazing work and acheivements and goals that I crushed, I still feel empty because of that girl and I just can't stop thinking about her and what would have happened if I made a move that day at the party. As I said, this is not afecting my productivity and I'm not lazy at all, I am actually really motivated, but I still feel that something is missing everysince that party and that girl. I would really apreciate if you guys could help me get over it somehow or what should I do. I personally would have tried to go to her city and see once and for all if I could make it work and see if she likes me, but it's almost impossible to go alone considering I am only 14 years old. Would love some feedback!

Idk if you will see this, but I thinks its funny how I'm trying to change my life rn, from beeing emotional unstable and drink like 3-4 times a week, smoking weed 2-3 times a week, vaping pretty much all the time, taking a package of snus in a whole week, having a gym memebership, but didn't use it, got dropped out of school, eating pretty much only chunk food, to eating clean and only pretty much only "healthy" things i like, going to the gym 3-4 times a week, aplying for jobs, not having anxietyattacks anymore and seeing so much progress in just a month is incredible. I mean to start that journy, a thew bad things happened to me and i did bad a thew things under the influence of drugs, but even tho I've lost a lot of friends and "friends", I'm am damn proud that I finally started this journy, got away from these drugs, cleared my mindset and made a break from social media (instagram and snapchat). And then seeing your videos, eventho i didn't knew you until a thew days ago, it's just a great feeling to see someone like you, who knows how hard it can be etc. All i wanted to say is that your videos are great and you made me feel understood and you, eventho you have know idea who I am, are a part of my journy.

The problem was that I wasn't doing them consistently, every day.
So 1 month ago my real journey started, and I cut a lot of bad habits from my life, and did the right things until today.
I came back to this video to refresh my memory about certain things, and I did the Mental Health Test again.
My depression and anxiety scores now are 2 and 1.

    Anxiety 6, Depression 10
I am self aware of seeking instant gratification and I consciously tell my brain to shut up when that happens, my brother talked to me and told me if I see validation then I’m just confused inside, if I really wanna have something (an aesthetically sexy body) then I would just go for it, I would feel like what I did for a day was enough and I didn’t have to constantly ask him if I did a good job or not
I’ve always been anxious since middle school, I entered with the mind set that I’ll be liked more if I was more quiet and didn’t act like a weirdo, it backfired hard. Slowly I’m definitely recovering from it, actually starting to make friends and really getting talkative with others. When it comes to relationships, that was probably the worst cause for my anxiety, but I remembered when k watched one video from Hamza about journaling, and every anxious and deep Thought I had i wrote it down, it was like a tree branching different thoughts and it all came back together, and I caught myself hardly thinking about it anymore the night after even though I’ve been dealing with the stress of it for more than a couple months
Im not out of it yet, and I know it’s gonna keep happening but I’m still proud of the steps I take to better my mental health and now physical health, and I’m starting to find it fun

Im back to eating like my ancestors; lean meats, veg, plain yoghurt, fruit and just vanilla whey for my protein supplement and I know I'm doing the right thing by God's Grace. Lifting heavy compounds 4 times a week and hitting a good amount of steps every day, I also do random ab workouts, isolations, hit the treadmill and eleptical for fun too. Movement is such a gift from God and I'm so blessed I get to move my entire body and experience every muscle get stimulated individually. Thank you for the real advice. Hey brother.. hope you are doing well.. you are a very strong individual, ngl.. I am someone who suffered from these problems as well.. I've been in that dark pit of depression and came out of it.. it is possible.. realise that you are here for a purpose.. find your purpose and devote yourself to it.. work everyday to improve yourself, mentally emotionally spiritually physically.. and your life will improve.. find out the life that you wanna live, the person you wanna become and devote yourself to achieving that.. this makes life so much better.. the pain and suffering makes sense and the journey becomes beautiful.. our story matters because we didn't have it easy, we will go to the top and get it.. (no offense towards anyone).. and very importantly, connect with God.. let God reside in your heart and let your consciousness reside in God.. let God guide you.. he sent you here for a purpose as well.. he loves you and has complete faith in you.. and so do I.. keep faith in God, and work hard, especially when you don't feel like it..

As a guy who got a bit obsessed with building an aesthetic body (I searched beyond the first google page :D) I've got some advice regarding that. Do take it as a constructive criticism, not an attack, I enjoy your content but I disagree with some points.
    1. For targeting and training optimally the upper chest, the incline on the bench press should be between 15-30 degrees, no less, no more. The mainstream 45 degrees is an overkill. You don't get more upper chest training by going beyond 30 degrees. But going to 45, you can't lift as heavy as going to 30, so overall it's not optimal. In fact for upper chest I'd recommend the reverse grip bench (this is better than the incline mind you), the dumbbell pullover and low-to-high crossovers (yes low to high).
    2. The traps being a priority muscles for aesthetics is very controversial. If you frame is narrow, then getting bigger traps will detract from the V-taper, not add to it. Unless you have bad trap genetics, I think that direct trap training is to be avoided. They will grow sufficiently from deadlifting, RDLs and general back training. Note that aesthetic icons such as Frank Zane and Steve Reeves had intentionally underdeveloped traps.
I'd like to add more muscles for building an aesthetic body, which if developed well, will be like the cherry on top and from the 1% you will go to the 0.1%.
    1. The serratus anterior. If developed, this makes you look badass, no questions. The best thing is you can train it by doing exercises which are complimentary for the major muscle groups regarding the V-taper. Dumbbell pullovers (targets mainly the upper chest) and straight arm pulldown (targets mainly the lats) will develop the serratus.
    2. The obliques. A bit controversial but overall they add to the physique. They create the illusion of an even narrower waist and amplify the all beloved abs. Any fear of oblique training detracting from the V-taper because they supposedly make your waist wider, is irrational. They are very small muscles and even if technically they may add 0.01 centimeters, this is irrelevant.
    3. Forearms. Overall we train muscles which are easily visible when we are clothed. IMO forearms are more important than the biceps. They give that manly vibe. The biceps are the most overrated muscles and generally we men like the biceps more, that's why we train them. Women don't seem to care much for biceps. In fact women seems to like forearms more IMO.
Anyway, great content, keep going. Hope to see you reach a million subscribers.
