Successful replacement with your very well put together video and instructions. No more check engine light in fact, no codes at all. 2003 Honda Accord 2.4L.
This was fantastic! Still a beast to get at and replace the part - but never would have been able to do it without this video. The piece of paper to hold the bolt - first time I had seen that. Genius.
This is such a spiderweb of a spot and I thought that was it, I can already tell mine's all rusted because that was the first hose I noticed that looked suspicious in terms of leaks. It's most likely all rusted on the inside and stuck or something. Had no idea how to get to it but this video is so well shot and explained I feel like I just memorized it all and seems so easy now.
Thank you so much for making this informative video! Also thank you for attaching the link to purchase the part. Long story short, AutoZone said ordering the part would be $350.
I ordered the same part from O'Reilly's for a 2009 and it only cost me $45. Watching how-to videos I realize this is something I can do myself. Got a labor quote from an independent mechanic entrepreneur and he quoted me $100 so I'm about to save a nice chunk😏
Finally did this and 1 screw was stripped and very difficult to take out. May I ask what size bit head you used in this video? Overall, glad I did this. Thanks
At O reielys they asked me if i wanted federal or California part, that i should check my emissions label. Only problem is i don't have one. What else can i do to find out if its federal or California ? Or does it matter if i get either part?
Start with checking for a short in your purge valve wiring, or a leak in one of your hoses. The next thing would be purchasing the purge valve directly from Honda. Good luck.
@@lukethaduke4837 have a smoke test appointment this Saturday. If that checks out then doing oem and I'll let you know the progress. Thanks for asking.
@@lukethaduke4837 Okay after having it looked at with a honda dealership ended up being the Solenoid canister being the issue. Was told it was filled with dirt and since that was going through to system to replace the solenoid valve as well. Cant find a single video doing a full replacement of the canister but still looking. 300$ fix vs 880$ for mechanic to do it.
Just changed the sensor and my check engine is still on have no idea why . I’ve tried disconnecting the battery and tried clearing it with a scanning tool but all it does it blink and stay on . Any help ?
To cause a P0443, there has to be a problem with the purge control circuit, not necessarily the valve. It could also be the 2-way bypass solenoid, the canister shutoff valve, or any of the hoses . I would have a professional do a EVAP leak test so you're not wasting your time or money .

How did you get rid of the light I changed mine and light still won’t go away
@camerongomez115 I used my ODB2 tester to reset. Were you getting a code?
Your cameraman/woman is AWESOME! Great lighting. Shooting exactly where they should and in focus.
Thank you!

Thanks. I notice this connects to the A/C line, does this affect the A/C? Thanks

It could. I would call the dealer with your vin number and they will give you the correct information.
Replaced mine twice and both times lasted about 4-6 month and check engine light came on with same error. Any suggestions?

@@TheAutoTeacher thanks alot for reply. Due to issue being fixed for 6 months went with OEM and if it doesn't work I'll check other options
