    How to increase lung capacity:
    1) Stay active
    2) Do not smoke
    3) Kumbhaka (breath retention)
    4) Intercostal breathing
    5) Bhastrika (fire breathing) forceful inhalation and exhalation to purify the system
    6) Arms over head full body stretch Asanas
    7) side stretch rib opening stretches

    The videos are 👍🏼; still it's a bit contradictory to have an Institute Director/owner sitting in a chair and giving advice on exercises and Asanas. Walking the talk, helps...just sharing my opinion. Institute is a renowned place, just that the sitting videos don't inspire confidence for new people.

    I take about 2.5 breaths a minute, if someone needs 12 to 15 breaths a minute, theres something seriously wrong,

      Namaste, Bhastrika has active in and out-breath, while for kapalbhati, you will exhale actively and let the in-breath come by itself. Breath retention in bhastrika is with full lungs, while for kapalbhati, you do it with your lungs empty.
