So much has happened in my life since I first read kotlc. It’s crazy😭
Yeah I was in middle school reading my first book lol! I think Troy and Joey were in like 3rd grade it’s been a long journey!
i’ve been with the series for 8 years. insane.
I literally cried when I finished the firs 9 books and had to wait a year for the next book.
I think Keefe may develop the ability to talk to animals and be able to communicate with the fox (who will then be his friend in unraveled, since he won the vote) and that's what's going to make him start talking again.
There's already a polyglot so talented she can talk to animals, so him being able to isn't too farfetched.

Sophie
Fitz (cognates w/ Sophie)
Keefe
Dex (he got kidnapped by them).
Possibly Biana? I doubt she is though after what Vespera did to her.
It couldn't be any of the Collective. Their hideouts would be known & probably raided already. Too many secrets are revealed. It would mess up the plot too much.
But someone who isn't too involved in the story, wouldn't mess up the plot too much. Someone who, if they were the leak, would cause just a few inconveniences. Someone replaceable. Someone who most people trust but not everyone loves.

WHY DID TINKER JOIN?
Though, there MUST be something in it for her if she joined the Neverseen. What did someone say about the reason people joined the Neverseen? Was it redemption or revenge or something? Idk.
Glimmer joined for revenge/redemption.
Ruy joined to prove himself
Brant and Fintan joined because their ability was stripped away from them. They wanted to expose the council's lies.
So what did Tinker join for? Expose the council's lies? Some prize or information she really wants? A deal? A trade? An exchange? I forget her backstory if there was even one explained. Maybe getting back at the Black Swan for when the weapons she made for them were a disaster? Tinker said after that, she'd never make weapons again.
EVIDENCE:
Wait...has the Neverseen ever used weapons that a technopath has made? I don't think so. If you had a technopath on your side, you would be making complex weapons to help you fight.
But the Neverseen use no technopath weapons despite having a technopath on their side! Tinker said she'd never make weapons again, so maybe this is a part of her deal with the Neverseen?
We all know, Tinker is a VERY clever and skilled technopath. It's a perfect fit for the Neverseens' "Lodestar symbol gadget" that leaps them to their hideouts. So simple, yet clever. Also, who else would've been better to figure out how that gadget works than Dex Dizznee? Someone who never liked Tinker from the start?
We know she had a bad experience making explosives and now has a metal mask on her face.
Plus, she's had bad experiences with goblins, hence why she is so cautious/scared of them.

@@Sparklyprettyprincessbiana Yes I totally forgot about the always answering with a question thing! That is odd and makes me think why Shannon Messenger added that part of Tinkers personality to the plot. Possibly to not give away anything about the Neverseen?

Lady Gisela has a technopath working with her. She also knew the location of Brumevale, so I think Tinker is working with Lady Gisela not the Neverseen .Maybe Gisela recruited her,hence why she made the lodestar symbols for the Neverseen but after Gisela was kicked out, she joined her instead

Tinker is the neverseens technopath!! 1. We don't know much about her 2. They have a pretty good tecnopath, and Tinker is pretty good 3. The null she made did work, but prevented them from shocking Alvar!!! Idk, I just have a feeling that she is the neverseens technopath 🤔😅

Theory: I have seen quite a few Easter Eggs in these books. Some are really early too! (One example is Mr. Forkle's identities...I cannot believe I missed them the first time) My point is...are there more Easter eggs we have yet to find?? Possible some in Stellarlune that we just can't see yet?
Think about it: We know there is no way Keefe could have survived in the Forbidden Cities alone, this is Keefe we are talking about. He did mention some "friends" once he returned to Stellarlune; who exactly are these "friends"? My thoughts...possible ancients! Wouldn't that be the coolest thing?! Lost ancients, elves who refused to leave humans behind and who helped Keefe learn their (human) ways to survive undetected. Keefe's return was (possibly) because of some greater threat or details about his mother's plans which he learned of, he wouldn't be able to bear leaving Sophie and the rest of his friends alone to fight. Whatever Shannon has in store will surely be great! I'm too impatient to wait!😂😄
okay this isn’t exactly a theory but this is what i wish would happen:
sophie had such a character change in unlocked when she burned down the warehouse and let her symbol there or wtv i think so thing just snapped in there and she finally became who she was supposed to be. I really hope that we see more of that in 9.5 and 10 because i think that her character is so much more complex and that anger that we see really shows that. I just think that she should be more mean and snarky like she is in 8.5.
I ALSO HAVE 2 THEORIES:
1) Sophie and Glimmer are gonna become good friends, and Glimmers going to teach Sophie a lot of things. Sophie’s going to get influenced by Glimmer and be more snarky n stuff like that. I also have a feeling that since Glimmer and Sophie might become friends so will Sophie and Tam. Basically I think Sophie Glimmer and Tam will all become good friends and king of like a trio. (i hope it would be so cute)
2) Keefe is going to find Sophie’s father in the Forbidden cities (maybe) OR Sophie’s father is Fintan. I think this for a few reasons. The first is that when Sophie was kidnapped (this might be wrong i can’t remember) Brant was the only one who burned her Fintan never did. Also when in book 3 Sophie was in Fintans mind he warned her before setting the place in fire (when Kenric died) Also i can’t really recall but there are tons of moments when she’s in his mind and he warns her. Also Sophie hates fire but then randomly snaps and her first resort is to set something on fire and leave a mark. JUST LIKE FINTAN. Fintans first resort is fire (obvs) and his “mark” is Everblaze and the ash. ANOTHER THING, when Tam did a shadow reading on them the first time they met he said Sophie was like “half or balanced” something like that. Meaning she was equally cable of bad and good or smth like that i believe. And think about Sophie is A LOT like Oralie in a lot of ways. But there’s a lot of ways in which she isn’t. This makes me think that she’s like 50% good (Oralie) and 50% bad (Fintan)

That's a cool theory- also another claim to support this is when Sophie was hanging upside down to decide which hemisphere she would go into in exillium, she set a fire. This was probably mainly for the main purpose of meeting Tam and Linh, but it could symbolize/hint that Fintan is her father.
Also, I agree with you on the 50% good and bad thing because of what Tam said about her shadow vapor
Tam: "Illumination and darkness (or something) cancel each other out."
And then Linh says, "Balance is good."
Tam: "But it will be hard to keep."
Linh: "That'll only matter when she's older."
That seemed to really bother Sophie and seemed to hint at 'something.'
Plus, the fact that she was put in the ambi hemisphere just is another reason.

I have a theory that as Keefe ventures through the lost cities, he might encounter a group of elves that may be associated with the Black Swan, because he was found in a luxurious hotel that the group probably could’ve helped him afford for his safety; those might be the friends that he’s talked about with Sophie as it would be hard for him to befriend actual humans when they don’t know the positions he’s been through. And as we know from the series Mr Forkle has lived in the Forbidden Cities to keep watch on Sophie but could the Black Swan also scatter more members across the planet?
I’m literally clutching straws at this moment I cannot physically wait until November 💀

And I've got a theory that he's going to break in book ten
AND Shannon said some major information is going to be unveiled in unraveled

I've come up with something
What if Keefe DID actually kill Ethan and his daughter

Shannon said that she was going to try and fit the information in unraveled into stellarlune
But it didn't work out
Then in try for book 10
But didnt fit
Well in stellarlune we know the 2 humans WERE actually brought up
Could that have been Shannon trying to write in the information about them but didn't work?
But you're probably wondering how this means Keefe killed them
Stick with me
Almost there
Keefes memory of him delivering the letter was SHATTERED
Not washed
Shattered
That was the only memory (as of known so far) to be shattered
The rest got washed
Why go out of your way to shatter THAT specific memory when the others were washed
Like the one with Gisela was on the roof with Alvar
That wasn't anything he needed to remember later
But why treat it different
Also
Gisela was talking like Keefe had something to do with their death
(Could've been manipulation tactic and it probably was but still)
Keefe had also visited their graves and asked about them
Confirmed stuff about them WILL be in unraveled
He wasn't acting himself in stellarlune
Yes he wasn't acting himself in unlocked either
And also yes he's been going numb and that absolutely will contribute to that
But idk
It just seems like there's more to it than JUST that
And THAT would definitely mess someone up
AND I'm already pretty sure his mind will shatter in book ten
So that could be the tipping point for it to do so
AND Shannon said this is game changing news
That definitely would be COMPLETELY plot changing and everything
And it would make sense why we'd need to see this revelation through his pov rather than in Sophie's just being told
Even if Keefe didn't kill them himself
But more so he had a more direct role in their murders than previously thought

Ok so I have a theory: we know that Keefe went numb from his time in the forbidden cities but I think the reasoning will be something big, he will probably be investing the things that happened in London and maybe he uncovers things that we didn’t even know about along with more truth and he blames himself and that’s the reason he goes numb, or he becomes so overwhelmed by all the human emotions that his senses go numb.
Okay minor theory:
Lady Gisela knows that Elysian is a person. Elysian can do commands like Keefe, and is what Lady Gisela based keefe on.
a small theory for the group of elves in the forbidden cities, maybe they ran away, and the council let it off as a "misunderstanding" or a "fraud"
Blur is Councillor Derick. They are both Phasers , have never been in the same room during the entire series and when Sophie was trying to figure out his abitilty, he claimed it would require a “long explanation” … because Councillor Derick voted in favour of Sophie’s ability restrictor, her banishment and so many other things

My theory is that Grady is Sophie's dad.
Because I spent too much time on this theory here are my way-too-long reasons.
1. Maybe I'm overreacting, but Sophie is always being said to look a lot like jolie. Some people might think this is to build a better relationship between Sophie and Grady+Edaline, but I feel like if this was the whole reason, she would have said it 1, maybe 2 times. But she doesn't. In book 2 and 3, Shannon writes that she looks like jolie 10+ times. As well as this, we know that Shannon uses things that seemed unimportant in early books later on. (like Sophie seeing the Elysian butterflies in Prentice's mind in Exile, or the tribunal ending up being Glimmer's parents' tribunal. I think it's completely possible that Shannon was using these subtle messages to say that Sophie was related to Jolie.
2. So some people might be thinking "But Grady HATED the black swan! He would never give them his DNA!" and yes, Grady did hate the black swan. But I believe he didn't used to hate them. Here's my backstory theory: Grady saw how much shame the Dizznees were getting for being a bad match, and when Jolie said she was going to marry Brant anyway, he really didn't want that for his daughter. We all know Grady hates when Sophie gets unfairly treated, (Ex.: Ability Restrictor), so imagine how angry he would get for his daughter that he's known her whole life, and when he's seen how much she loves Brant. Grady searches for a way to make things right, when he gains the attention of the black swan (Jolie isn't working for them yet), and they offer a solution. He gives them his DNA . This event makes the Black Swan recruit Jolie as well. When Edaline proposes the solution of going to the elite levels to get used to the scorn or whatever (i don't remember the full details), Grady starts to think he might have chosen wrong. Meanwhile, the Black Swan tries to get him to commit more to their plans, as well as the Neverseen. But at this point, Grady is regretting his decisions. He tries to shut it all out, but eventually Jolie gets killed in the fire, and he believes it is his fault, because (in his eyes) he is the one who started messing with the Black Swan in the first place. In order to not break his mind from the guilt, he focuses on how the black swan are the bad ones, trying to believe they are the ones who are at fault until he actually does believe it.
3. The Black Swan were pretty much unheard of in the Lost Cities, until Sophie but the anger we see in Exile from Grady seems like it's been there a long time. This makes me think Grady already knew the black swan existed (because of backstory above ^). But how would he? He isn't the Council's-most trusted emissary like Alden, and he isn't part of the Neverseen and therefore knows about them like, well, the neverseen. You could say he learned about it from Jolie, but a): Edaline and Grady didn't know she was part of the Black Swan until Sophie saw her in Prentice's mind (and Mr. Forkle confirmed it). and b): Grady thinks Jolie died because of HIS reluctance to join the black swan, not her involvement in them. I believe this proves that my backstory is maybe true.
Summary because I doubt you read that: Sophie looks like Jolie = Suspicious. Grady didn't always hate black swan, sided with them, then regretted his choices. Grady already knew about black swan because of siding with them, but he wouldn't have if he wasn't involved with them.

My theory is that Lady Gisella will give her life for Keefe at the next or the last book. I also think we get a deeper look at the love relationship between Keefe and Sophie. I don't know why but I also think Fitz will get a girlfriend. And I think Keefe will return to his normal self with the help of Sophie and the fox.

Also, I have another theory. It’s not a large one, but I think one of the “friends” Keefe mentioned might be an adult and act as a father figure towards Keefe since, let’s be honest, Lord Cassius is a TERRIBLE father.
That character could also be connected to Ethan Benedict Wright, like a brother or friend. Or, he could be a detective who thought the Ethan and his daughter’s deaths were suspicious.

Throughout the books, Keefe has always worried about being like his parents (first like his father and then his mother after everything with the Neverseen) and he's always been afraid of himself hurting someone he cares about; it before being Sophie, Fitz, Biana, Dex, etc, but now not because he's away. As I mentioned before in the last theory video (and mentioned again above) Keefe definitely met someone or some people in the Forbidden Cities and maybe he revealed his abilities to them and after some time, he accidentally used his abilities on them? Maybe the friend(s) he meets help him with his abilities in some shape or form by teaching him like Oralie to Sophie if they're an elf. Maybe there have been failed experiments by Gisela or Vespera who escaped but kept their abilities and helped Keefe with his plus helping him get around because some or they might have been alive so long that they knew and/or they might've escaped like he did? Could've Gisela and Cassius had more kids and used a Neverseen Washer to erase them? Could they have been a human from the experiments? Could they be more? Could they know something about Gisela or the Wrights? Could one of them be a Wright like Eleanor? It couldn't be something too intense or dramatic because Keefe would've reacted more or was that a side effect of the numbing...

I have a theory about who mr forkle could be…
So I was think maybe it’s Alden because:
Alden always in a way knows everything and that might not be just because he is an emissary.
Since the vackers are all part of this huge famous family that would be an ideal reason for Alden’s parents to hide that Alden had a twin.
Alden was the one that went against the councils orders and was really eager to get sophie to the lost cities as if he knew that another group might attack and that could only be if he was forkle and helped with project moonlark.
Della joined the black swan along with Fitz and Biana what if that’s because she knew her husband was forkle and she wanted to support him.
Alden and Della were really upset when forkle’s twin died,is it because they were actually related?
When Sophie and Dex disappeared and got kidnapped by the Neverseen wasn’t Alden the one who conducted the search party? Meaning he was technically the most worried and this could be because he is a good person but it could also mean he forkle and he would definitely do it.
But why would he spend so much time and ask his children to search for Sophie, when he would exactly know where she is?

In book 4, Sophie asked if Mr. Forkle was Alden. He denied it and said that there isn’t a single potion to achieve how handsome Alden was. Alden and Mr. Forkle also had many encounters with each other. Alden is also the one who helped capture and do the memory break on Prentice, while Mr. Forkle devoted half his time undoing what Alden did.
