- Today we have some KOTLC BOOK 10 Theory and Keeper of the Lost Cities book 10 THEORIES! We have so many KotLC Book 10 Theories! After Shannon Messengers Book 9 Stellarlune, Keefe Sencen came back to the lost cities and we dont know what Lady Gisela/Elysian is planning! Elysian had the power to give commands like keefe and at the end of stellarlune she gave the command to turn their abilities off. She is an ancient elf and the ancient councillors got scared and decided to lock her away and now it’s a forgotten secret in a cache. Lady Gisela found out about this mysterious power and tried to give Keefe the same ability. Elysian might also be a vacker and it could be one of the ancient scandals in their history, because that would explain why they have so much power.
These are all such interesting theories! I'm going to share one of my own- which I've been theorizing since before Stellarlune was released.
Jensi is going to get a new ability.
Before the release of Stellarlune, one day I just went, "Huh it's kind of weird that Terik is the only descryer ever." That means that elves don't have a predetermined set of abilities that they can get; new ones do appear. That's how genetics work. Individuals gets random gene mutations that can then be passed on to their children (but Terik has no children as a councilor). Additionally, on page 581 of Unlocked, Councilor Noland states, "Ever ability starts somewhere," which is likely foreshadowing that someone will get a new ability.
Then Jensi appeared in Stellarlune, and by the *looks* of things he was talentless- making him the prime suspect. Additionally, Shannon said she was planning some of the scenes in Stellarlune since around the time she started writing KOTLC. Jensi was present during this time, but faded into the background during a time period in the books that Shannon herself said she wouldn't have gotten to explore if she hadn't been allowed to lengthen her series. However, now that we're getting towards the ending that Shannon had planned, Jensi's appearing again, meaning it is likely that he will be relevant to the resolution of the plot.
One Jensi line that really stuck out to me in Stellarlune is when he said he was good at keeping secrets after showing up at the gang's table. Considering the popular theory that Blur is Jensi's older brother, it is possible that Jensi already learned more about the Black Swan than he should have- perhaps even by accident. Gisela may take interest in him due to her experimentations. Heck, Elysian could also take interest in him due to also having a unique ability. Honestly, Jensi developing a new ability just has so many possibilities for a unique storyline and also has the capacity to unite several aspects of the plot coherently.
That only leaves one question.. what would Jensi's ability be? I'm not sure of what the full extent would be, but I theorize Jensi is going to be able to turn back on the abilities Elysian turned off.

while reading these theories, Elysian definitely has the ability to get get rid of other abilities but what if she takes them in like she claims them. Example, in Stellarlune when they realized that their powers weren’t working what if she took them so she could have like ALL the abilities. Sorry if this didn’t make any sense
Elysian theory: Sophie and the Black Swan try to get Elysian to join their side, while the Neverseen try to convince Elysian too. Elysian doesn’t help anybody, but in the end when the Black Swan are losing to the Neverseen Elysian comes in with a dramatic entry and uses her powers to beat the Neverseen, after deciding to help the Black Swan.
i have a theory. In one of the books sophie enters fitz' mind and she sees a perfect version of herself. i believe that alden is with the neverseen and that he put that image of sophie into fitz' mind to get fitz to like her. then alden could get the inside scoop on the black swan by just reading his mind. i also think this is why alden told keefe to stay away from sophie, because if sophie was with keefe he would get the newest info not fitz. this also proves why fitz didnt like linh, even though there have been many signs of it before nightfall which is when i think alden put the image in. its because the image of sophie in his mind. this also might mean why sophie liked that keefes drawing of her was imperfect. its just a theory but its definitely possible.
the black swan and never seen kinda teamed up in book 9, the meeting with trix and working with vespera, so maybe they will find common ground but idk, all these theories could work out and I love them all

Hey, KOTLC Fanbase! I have a theory about Elysian. What if Elysian had some ties to the council more specifically when Bronte first started. What if one of Brontes secrets was that Elysian used to be a councilor. She would have started off with a small ability like Empath like Keefe but soon developed abilities too powerful for the elves. She was soon sent away or exiled because this. Either one of two things could have happened. One, The whole elven population has their minds wiped to forget about Elysian including Bronte. Or two, Elysian was a close friend or lover at the time with Bronte and Bronte felt too guilty and had his mind erased even though it might have been necessary. Also, to make it even more sad, what if Bronte and Elysian were about to resign from the council to be together when the power was revealed? What if Bronte betrayed Elysian even more and voted to Exile her instead of against it adding to the guilt? Just a theory but I think it would be interesting to see a more vulnerable side of Bronte!
that would explain all his negativity too, and maybe he felt a connection with her because her powers take away and his causes pain
Okay, so you know how Sophie's emotions can be read without touching her by Lord Cassius and Keefe? What if either 1) Her father is related to the Sencens and that's why they can sense her emotions better or 2) A Sencen (maybe Lady Gisela) genetically altered Sophie to where her son (Keefe) could feel her emotions from far to give him some sort of advantage when Lady Gisela makes him "obedient" and when he goes through all phases of Stellarlune and unlocks his legacy.
I have an ability theory. It's kind of off topic from Stellarlune, but I really want to share it,
So, as we all know Sophie has five abillities: Telepath, Inflictor, Polyglot, Teleporter, and Enhancer. But, none of these are elemental abillities. And as we know, time to time Sophie's friends wonder if her next ability is going to be elemental.
This might not happen because elemental abilities are hard to keep under control, but I think that she can keep it under control, like she did keep her enhancing under control.
So there are six elements: Air, water, fire, shadow, shadowflux, and earth.
Some of these abillities her friends already have, like Marella is a Pyrokintic, so fire is out. Linh is a hydrokintec, so water is out, and Tam is a shade who can control shadowflux, so shadow ad shadowflux is out.
I don't think Sophie will be a Guster, because we all know Trix is one, and I don't see how being a Guster can help much.
So as seeing the tenth book is the final one, I think Sophie will get a game changing ability, which is being able to control the earth.
Wait, hear me out. I know that earth is not a actual ability in the lost cities, but I think the Black Swan could have created the new ability. If Lady Gisela can, why can't the Black Swan? If Sophie does get the ability to control the earth, this could help them beat the Neverseen, concluding the series.
This might not happen, she might not get another ability, I think she will though.
Or maybe, with all of the tweaks to her DNA, it all got a little messed up, giving her the ability to control the earth, since the Black Swan isn't perfect.
i think Blur is jensi's brother because in book nine he says his brother is a phaser and in book 6 sophie says he looks farmiliar
So excited for the next book. Can't wait!

For the first theory; I actually think Sophie is the Keeper of the lost cities! Because only 2 known people can slip past her blocking! And it would make sense for her to be a keeper!

My theory is that elves tried to use Elysian's power and she left the lost cities, and the Council buried any trace of her existence because if other people found out, they could try to find her and convince her to use her powers for themselves or to take down the council.
I also think that she is going to be pretty neutral to the situation, and try to stay out of it. But she keeps getting roped in, and so eventually she forms an alliance with one of the rebel groups.
I have a theory about Kenric and Fintan.... and I KNOW it sounds crazy but hear me out.
There is still a possibility that Kenric is alive.
We all know from Stellarlune that Fintan and Kenric clearly have a history - and the tiny snippet Shannon gave us was an interrogation on stellarlune itself, which Fintan insisted he had never heard of. But Kenric clearly did - and from his exchange with Prentice, he was worried enough about it to want to make sure, at all costs, that SOMEONE would know about it. So, what if when he was trapped in the burning tower with Fintan, he managed to strike some sort of deal (one that most likely involved information about stellarlune, because we all know how power-hungry Fintan is) and leaped away, just so that he could protect the secret of Elysian? Kenric has been established as a very kind, selfless character - but also one with many, many things to hide.
And we never actually saw him die.
We're going off of Fintan's word - the creepy, pyschotic villain who already has a suspicious "Criterion" and and has no problem torturing children for information.
I DON'T KNOW MAYBE I'VE WATCHED TOO MANY HORROR MOVIES WHERE IF YOU DON'T SEE THEM DIE, THEY'RE NOT ACTUALLY DEAD, BUT KENRIC WAS SERIOUSLY DEVOTED TO KEEPING INFORMATION ABOUT ELYSIAN SAFE AND PROTECTED. AND ACCESSIBLE. HE WOULDN'T JUST DIE.
And it would be nice for him to show up in book ten :).

I think that Elysian will agree with the goals of the neverseen and the black swan, but she won't know who to help. I think she'll give tests to the 2 groups to decide who is more worthy

... Well, thats a bit of an understatement...
I feel like during the ancient times, the council banished Elysian because of her ability. I mean they banished Pyrokinetics but allowed them to stay but if someone had the ability to turn off abilities, they would feel threatened. OR she’s their secret weapon when they get into war bc we know that the lost cities are not a perfect place like ppl think so maybe this is another layer to their secrecy.
This was a great video! I also have 2 about who Elysian is that are pretty far-fetched.
1. Did they ever tell us what powers the elves abilities? Because what if it is the prime sources. The prime sources are what gives the elves the ability to control things for their ability. Think of it as a power source. They did say it was an element, but what if that element is necessary for the abilities. If so, then maybe Elysian learned to control that power source. Therefore, controlling whether or not other people can use their ability. I am not sure how it is controlled, and what light and darkness had to do with it, and how she managed to control it, but alright.
2. This one is more far-fetched. Remember how the ancient council tried to copy all of the other species? Doing what they did, and trying to do it as good. The failed, though. What I’m saying is, what if there was/is another species that the council has concealed. There are 12 councilors, and only a few of their caches have been searched. One, I think. Who knows what other secrets could be in the other ones. Now, this secret species harnesses the prime sources for power. The ancient council tried to also do this, but failed and accidentally created Elysian. Since it was an experiment of the three prime sources, she must’ve gained the power that comes with it. That power relates to my previous theory.
I think Elysian is one of Vespera's experiments
That would explain how she is connected to nightfall
Like (what was it.....2000 years ago that Vespera got locked in lumenaria?) And (correct me if I'm wrong) in stellarlune it said that the star only appears once every 2000 years
So the timeline would match up
What if Vespera was experimenting on Elysian to find out why elves have abilities and humans don't and managed to spark abilities in Elysian and it went horribly wrong
That's right.....what if Elysian IS A HUMAN
And how Vespera did it was harnessing the power from that one unmapped star and managed to give Elysian a super powerful ability
Also this ties into my other theory about Elysian
That she was the original owner of Brumvale
Because Forkle said that no one new the original owner but did say it was VERY old
What if Vespera kidnapped Elysian from Brumvale and then did experiments on her in the Nightfall facility
And the experiments she did on Elysian were named Stellarlune and that's the name of the unwrapped star
And this is were it ties into Keefe
What if Lady Giselle's thought is: "if stellarlune is that powerful on a human what about an elf"
The reason Keefe needs the last step is because if not he'll become unstable (which he already is) or he might die
For the recorded I’m only going to read book 10 for sokeef moments, we need them. And hopefully book ten will deliver

I feel like maybe Elysian and Gisela will team up against everyone else and obviously Gisela would like steal keefe so make his legacy and make him stronger and the black swan and neverseen would have to team up against them and maybe realize how to fix the world for the end of the series? Again, a theory for book 10 and the end of the series in general

Keefe’s gonna die he is I’m like 99% sure he’s WAY to involved with the Neverseen also the way it’s going there’s 13 main characters counting Maruca Jensi Stina and Glimmer and if my predictions are true (which is that Shannon is going to make them the council or something very similar to it if u know what I mean) someone has to get booted off and honestly it’s Keefe think about it he’s a main character a main love interest and let’s be honest it’s freaking Shannon Messenger it would thicken the plot it would and it would be a pretty good plot twist and it would add drive to Sophie and the others also I have a REAL weird suspicion that someone’s gonna lose a limb don’t ask me why but again it’s Shannon and if it does happen it’s going to a side character like Dex or Lynn (also I think Lynn is part of the Neverseen think about how many times they’ve needed or did stuff with water it’s creepy) and no I don’t hate Keefe he’s my second favorite character besides my adorable little cinnamon roll Dex DEX DIZZNEE 4 LIFE
