I'm not rewriting the whole thing sooo yeah here's a condensed version or whatever
Little Keeper of the Lost Cities PMV/Animatic 'cause there's not enough fan-stuff of this book series out there ! Keefe is best boi sad boi
I tried to portray his relationship with his parents/friends the best that I could I hope it's kinda accurate (I'll kill both his parents they're such a-holessss)
This thing took me 2+ months to make but dang I'm glad I managed to finish it ! Sorry if some of the drawings look kinda off or too sketchy I gave up on some parts :")
Probably be doing a Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus animatic next (One of the musical's songs I think) so keep an eye out for that I guess

MY HEART HAD JUST HEALED FROM THE END OF LEGACY AND NOW THIS (starts to cry)
It is so sad 😭 but I can’t stop watching it it is so good
My heart hurts so much for this boy. Everyone remembers him as the goofy comedic relief but it seems like a lot of people forget he was abused and forgotten and believe all his life that he was worthless and the one shred of light in his life was taken away by his best friend. His hero turned out to be an enemy. His mom was going against him and his friends. He had to fight his own mother to save his friends. He doesn’t know who he is anymore. He’s scared. And now his mother is going on and on about his legacy as he’s trying to help everyone else. He’s broken. He’s trying to be ok. But he can’t. And he doesn’t realize it’s ok to not be ok. And it hurts so much to know that he didn’t get Sophie. I cry for him I know that sounds so stupid but he has such a painful backstory it hurts. He was forgotten as a kid. Literally. This is why he’s my favorite character. Not just because he’s funny or cute or charming. Because he just DESERVES it. He’s risked his life for EVERYONE by going with the enemy and frankly no one really gives him the appreciation he deserves. He’s developed as a character so much. I just can’t. and don’t get me started on the fact that since he’s an empath and can feel Sophie’s emotions without touching her he can literally feel how much she likes Fitz and see the difference between him and Fitz. I just... my poor baby

I THINK that she loves Fitz with her head and Keefe with her heart because when she enhances him, he can feel her heart emotions (I think) and he's always trying to tell her that there's a difference. Besides, when she's talking about Fitz its always "Oh his eyes are so beautiful!" *Cue the barfing* BUT GIRL. LOVE KEEFE ALREADY. Keefe is also my favorite character because he is broken. Lost. Scared. AKA why I am such a desperate sokeefe shipper.

This is the best representation of Keefe's real personality. I think a lot of people only think of him as the funny, sassy guy. No one remembers that he has had a very hard life, even his own friends didn't realize that his life was so hard until Sophie came, and started realizing it. And his one chance he had at proving himself to his parents to get #1 in his class, Fitz took that. Keefe only jokes around so that he doesn't have to face reality, but he doesn't realize that its ok to be different, and it is ok to be sad. That doesn't mean you have to weak. I don't usually write comments, but this was so good that I had too. Koray, your work on this was amazing, and I totally think you should do more Keeper of the Lost Cities videos.
I agree. He had such a hard childhood, and no one else in the books really seems to care about what he’s going through except Sophie. (Also, Koray, ur art is amazing!)

Keefe is honestly my favourite character. He’s been through so much and he’s been neglected by his own immediate family. And all he’s trying to do is make everything better for the people around him tries to comfort them and mask the broken boy behind him with humour and jokes. He’s been through more than some people have in an entire lifetime and he’s only 17. He’s had his parents forget about him in Atlantis, found out his mother was with the enemy, dealt with years of verbal abuse from his father and didn’t even get to be with the girl he loved so much. And I don’t blame him at all for trying to double agent the neverseen because he wanted to do something good just once. He’s been so brave and collected the whole series and I really wish I could comfort him somehow. That’s why I cried when I watched this video, realising some people don’t really see the broken shards behind his normal shell. I could never hold myself together through all the heartbreak as well as he can. I don’t know how he does it but I look up to him because of that. I want him so badly to be together with Sophie instead of Fitz. He deserves to be happy. He’s such a selfless person that’s always standing up for her and her friends, and even challengers dimitar to a sparring match and injured his chest just for Sophie. It just be so traumatic for him.I wish he had a caring and supportive family. His mother’s stupid legacy thing is breaking him apart and making him think he’s as useless as her plans, but no. He’s the most handsome character and has the best personality and everyone needs a friend like him in their lives. My heart breaks when I see him try so hard to flirt with Sophie or impress her because he wants them to be happy. He was such an innocent little boy last time right until he started foxfire and his father started insulting him even though he’s an amazing artists.I wish he was real so I could hug him and comfort him and tell him he’s perfect. he’s so talented and brilliant-He deserves more 🤧🥺🤗

That was a really good portrayal. By the way, I am a HUGE Foster Keefe shipper. He is the underdog, his heart has broken so much, you can tell he is sad when Sophie is with Fitz, and in the end, you kinda know Sophie is going go with Fitz.
Edit: At the time I wrote this Legacy was not out. I have now read Legacy and know that they broke up. Yay!

Wow, this video was truly inspirational. I’m about to cryyyyy! I feel like Keefe is almost a part of me now. He has been with me as I have read the books these last 5 years, again and again. And to see him hurt like this just breaks my heart! This was a wonderful piece, and you deserve all of the attention you are getting! I relate to Keefe so much. He puts on his best smile for everyone he loves. And acts so happy. And feels so worthless.. and i.. have to relate.
We put on a mask to appease everyone around us, we laugh when we want to cry, we always say “I’m fine” When we’re broken and screaming and dying inside and we cant express it because no one understands or is willing to understand! Ive had my entire childhood ripped from me and i cant to anything about it. I wish i could go back to the day i had my first depressed thought. And give her a hug and tell her to keep her head up (I’m 15 and i started at 11) i wish i could just hold her and tell her she’s beautiful and amazing. The things i cant manage to even tell myself. It hurts to look in the mirror, it hurts to see a body thats been broken and put back together by doctors so many times. And i cant even go to my own family because they don’t understand it at all. I dont want to go to my friends anymore because i feel like a burden. I dont know what to do! I might delete this whole thing.
I just wish i could see myself like my friends see me.
And every day just grows worse, but i smile and act like I’m okay, i act like the same “happy little maddy” that I’ve always been. Little do they know.. my heart is always broken. They eyes that once sparkled and shone are now dull and sad. The dreams of a small girl, are now gone and destroyed. Ive given up on everything. And it hurts to even get up in the morning, thinking “damn i woke up”

OMG this had me in tears. Keefe is my favorite character for a number of reasons but the biggest reason is that I can relate to him sooo much. Everyone excepts him to be the best but no one wants to help him on this journey we call life. No one can do this alone and believe me when I say that when all you have is your friends and they turn they're back on you, you seriously don't see a point to fight anymore.
