Wow, that looks just great Anthony, I'm sure your customer must be very happy with the result. When this job is complete please show us a video of all the work you have done there it is something one must see.
Yes, I plan to do a full walk through and highlight all of what I did, all the way back from the barn beam mantel, exposed beams, floating shelves, barn doors, through to the upcoming built ins that I’m doing now. I hope you got a chance to see all of those previous build videos on my channel. The built ins will be uploaded in several videos as a cabinet making series. Stay tuned!
Excellent vid! This gave me the knowledge (and courage) to build my own door. The one at the back of my house needs replacing. You were using inches. Thought you made the switch to metric.
This video was before I started using Metric. Even though to this day, in some instances like with common building materials and some moldings, I will occasionally use imperial. However that’s now about only 5-10% of the time. The other 90-95% is metric.
@@AnthonyScolaro1 Wow! Thanks for the speedy reply. My plane must need sharpened (along w my skills). I’m not sure I could do that w a hand plane. So sorry for another question, however - what species of wood did you use? I’m going to try and build the same door. I’m a DIYer, and I don’t have all of the tools you have, but I’m going to give it my best shot. Great looking door! Fabulous work.

Wow that came out absolutely gorgeous! Also on an unrelated side note ...the weather is getting nice out are we going to see any more motorcycle vlogs coming out? Are you still riding?
Still riding but the 360 camera I had crapped out on me, and they’re too much money now to get a new one. Unfortunately I only have time to ride on weekends now since my carpentry business got so busy. I had my ultra limited out last week. I’ll post a pic on the channel for you.
@@AnthonyScolaro1 Well I suppose too much work is a good problem to have. Glad to know that at least you're still getting some riding time in. Looking forward to some pictures - stay safe!
It all depends what you are doing. I am a professional custom cabinetmaker/finish carpenter/woodworker, so I use them on 90% of my daily work. They are great for layout mostly on cabinets and built-ins(the bulk of my business)I can justify buying them but I can’t see a hobbyist or a regular carpenter doing framing or moldings needing these at all. What type of work do you do?
@@AnthonyScolaro1 I do exactly what you do Anthony, I respect your opinion, I buy Starrett Precision tools, a little less than Woodpecker, but Engineering quality, the Festool brand I have a love/hate relationship with, love their sanders, and 1400 Router, but I think the Kapex is a ripoff, and counter intuitive to use, but, I enjoy you're videos
Praise The LORD!!! Great work Thank you.
Outstanding craftsmanship, work of art. God bless 🙏
This was one of the best videos for barn doors I’ve seen. Good job!
Great job on the barn door DIY. It adds a rustic touch to the space.
Incredible detail. Very nice work.
Slick looking end product. Look forward to the next series.
Nice job!
Awesome job man. They look amazing
Tony, nice work! Wow, the shop looks so open without the sliding tablesaw! Thanks for putting the time into these videos.
I actually have room to work now
Great job
Great job Anthony. Those are beautiful doors. Thanks for explaining in detail the building process. Best of luck.
Man, I haven’t enjoyed a tutorial video this much in years. Bouta watch it one more time! Thanks for posting! Subbed!

Very well done! Hope to make something similar for my house in the future.

Thank you 😊
Came out amazing👌
Great job. I would like more details on the cap head screws. Where you get them and how to fully install.
They sell those at the big box stores.
hardware items can you list them, the handles and the nuts you installed in middle of the doors thx again looks great
These were purchased by the client in one of the big box stores. I believe Home Depot
Hey Anthony, looks stunning. Can I ask please, where did you buy the screw caps? cheers
Thank you, I put a link in the description for those.
@@AnthonyScolaro1 Thankyou! Very helpful.
Great video. Thank you. What stain did you use? Thank you again
That’s dark walnut from Varathane. Thanks for watching!
Anthony, what tool did you use for the chamfering for the long edges? It looked like a plane maybe w some kind of jig to keep it at a 45?
That was a hand plane, but I just held it at a 45 degree angle while running it down the length of the board.

It takes a few seconds to move them. I have a vinyl floor, so they slide easily
Nice work! Where did you get the fastners
Thank you. The client actually got them but I believe from Home Depot.
Can you tell me more about the industrial fastener you used to make it look rustic??
The client dropped them off to me, he said he purchased them at a local home center.
@@AnthonyScolaro1 Those are the Simpson timber frame connector fasteners. HD and Lowes have them.
How many inches do you need from the top of the door to the top of the roller hardware?Would 5 inches make it?
What is the specific router bit you use? Thanks in advance.
did you like the door hardware somewhere? earlier vid perhaps
