  • Elderberries are renowned for their excellent flavor and medicinal qualities, and have been used for making wines, preserves, syrups, and tinctures for hundreds of years. We’re beginning to harvest our American black elderberries (Sambucus canadensis) at this time of year. In this video, Michael talks about our elderberry bushes and how we pick the fruit.

Harvested some yesterday and today from plants originally bought from Burntridge! Made elderberry pancakes, very delicious! Keep your videos coming, they’re very educational. Thanks!

Didn't know elderberrys lived that long, without being pruned.

Glad to see you all haven't been BURNT out! I wanted to put an order in but then I saw on your front page that you aren't going to be shipping until Spring and I'm in a bad situation here. We bought property. They are putting the well and stuff in now...or at least they should be, but we've been working at this for MONTHS trying to get our DBLwide set up on the land and we are being inundated with delays. Everybody and his brother is swamped.
Our land is 3 hrs away, so we can't have it shipped there yet. And we might have our current land sold before you ship. IF we wait until after we move to order we might not get any plants in 2022. Do you have any suggestions??

Hi, feel free to give us a call or send an email to discuss order timing. We have limited summer and fall availability, and are taking preorders for our winter/spring bareroot season. www.burntridgenursery.com/contactus.asp
