I've been waiting for this review of the Mammotion Luba. I really want to invest in a robotic mower. I can't physically be in any great heat. In the past 10 years, I've gone through 5 lawn crews for various reasons. It's such a MAJOR stressing point when spring comes around if my current crew is going to advise me they've gone out of business or an individual just disappears on me over the winter. I am adding this unit to my research spreadsheet for consideration. Thank you so much for an AWESOME review and video!! Excellent job.
Hi Quickdraw. A random note from New Zealand. We fought and battled with robot mowers trying to get them to mow a big, steep lawn in Auckland. After six months of trying we finally had to give up and refund the money! Very painful! In the past week or so we unpacked a Luba 5000 and in the depth of winter it nailed the entire property. We talking incredibly steep slopes, soaked ground/mud (in places) and well over an acre. What is amazing is seeing rolling lawns and steep hills all mowed in perfectly straight lines. It can also handle very long and tough grass. There are a few limitations with RPK signal sometimes, but apart from that this appears to be incredibly good tech. We are robot retailers and video people and, yes, we will be selling Luba 'down-under' in future. Happy robot hunting.
Obviously the people complaining about the price haven’t checked the price of a decent zero turn in the last ten years. Time is money and that savings would be worth it all. Money is replaceable but we can never get back the time spent mowing.
Several years ago I paid someone to mow my lawn for an entire year due to surgeries (at the time I was single, with a half-acre lot). At $2,800 this might have been a cost effective option - I can’t remember what I paid over the course of a year, but it seems like it was pretty close. But I still would have had to pay someone to trim the edges, so it wouldn’t have been a 100% payback in the first year.
Cool, good timing. I've been thinking about a robot mower. It would probably be stolen off my lawn before even completing its first cut, though, so I'm not sure it is right for me. Sitting outside to watch it so that it doesn't get stolen seems like no solution...if I'm going to do that, I might as well just mow the lawn. Also, a height max of 2.75 is too low IMHO. 3 inches is my preferred setting.
I go through weed eaters like you won't believe. I am in Africa and am tired of lawns. I have been slowly but surely started paving and leaving small sections open for slow growing plants. This is an amazing gadget but my Jack Russell Terrier will destroy it. I know someone is going to leave the gate open and then...

@@HowToHomeDIY not, definitely serious

This is surely for people who could care less for baby bunnies or any other small animal that gets in its way. Some things are best not being invented for lazy people.
What are you talking about? It has safety sensors on it. And almost every animals natural defense mechanism is to run away. All this has cut in the months I’ve had is weeds and grass.
@@HowToHomeDIY baby bunnies do not run away

@@HowToHomeDIY It is possible someone could see there is a difference in the yard.
First pin plz
