This was a true restoration of a great piece of MCM furniture. This sideboard deserved Raphael and I am so glad he got it instead of a furniture "flipper" who would have ruined it.

The sideboard/dresser looks beautiful Raphael. No matter how many years pass well designed mid-century furniture is timeless. It fills my heart and eyes with joy watching a mid-century piece restored to it's original glory. Thank you

Love seeing you restore the base and back of the cabinet and the underneath of the drawers. Many folks forget about, or disregard these areas. It makes the job look cheap when they do.

This is so satisfying to watch and for so many reasons. One major one is the craftsmanship awe -- the knowledge of tools, techniques and finishes. Another is showing us the many things that still possess a beauty and function. You are my hero most of all because you save items from being trashed and therefore show us that we don't have to waste. Thank You.

I don't care if it's authentic or reproduction...the fact that you are taking pieces and giving them new life is beautiful! People are buying "new" furniture hand over fist these days, and the old stuff is so much better quality. Saved another piece from going in a landfill! Your work is incredible and I love the color. People question artists' decision in colors etc...but you have close up experience and know what the piece needs. Thank you for sharing!

What a lovely piece this is, very unique with its curves and so glad there was another leg and draw that had been saved, and think what's really great is that you put the same handles back on and not put brass on as some youngsters are tending to do at the moment. Your the king off wood restoration. 🤩👍🤟

Just about to go to bed after watching RUclips and noticed your new post so had to stay up and watch. I have to say that this is not my style of furniture but that in no way takes away your artistry and attention to the smallest details. I loved the the colour that you put on this. Make id look so much richer. I have a carpenter friend that i have been talking to about your 'hobby' and will try to get him over this week to watch all of your amazing things you have done. I think the Shou Sugi Ban has to be my favorite so far as it is the first one i watched. Keep on trucking and working at your hobby. #genious.

Love the care you've put into this piece, however, I don't understand why you stained the wood? The colour was beautiful, when you wiped it with with white spirits, which is the effect a clear varnish would have given. Aside from that, it's gorgeous.
