This feature is generally really good, but the only issue is the fact that you cannot switch user in remote play. My progress in games is on different users, e.g I’ve finished Battlefront 2 on one user and i started Fallen Order on another, so when I’m away I can’t switch the user
I think u can sign out on one account and sign in from other account and reconnect to the console.

If you're anywhere that you could be using a laptop for long periods of time to remote play (meaning able to charge it so that you don't play for like 10 minutes before it dies), you should have access to wifi.

There's no reason for setting up remote play on the phone, you just need the hotspot.

Maybe it's in a newer version of Remote Play, but I only discovered this in 2023, and in the Remote Play settings, you can choose to use Mobile Data which is off by default.

Yes it is mate... This means you could play sat whilst sat outside somewhere like a park etc... The hotspot comes off your normal mobile data.

Can you go one step further (what I was actually looking for when stumbling across your video) and use the SAME device hotspotting as your remote?
I think it should connect as long as you are on the same segment so if you really want to get the best speeds maybe have the ps4 directly connected with cat8 cable and vpn yourself to your home network for maximum speed and reliability.

I'm here from 2022 and the remote play for the PS Vita does not really work that slow as he says it does I'm literally using it with the hori grip and it works amazing I guess it all comes down to Wi-Fi and the settings you have your remote Play device on

Luckily Sony phones come with this automatically. Able to play Diablo III with no issues as long as WiFi is strong.

It's remote through their cloud service and app. It has the signal and remote access to your home Console. You just have wifi or data access to the App/Cloud.

Yes but most phone companies only let you do like 1gig of hotspot data and gaming will eat that up real quick. I have AT&T unlimited and that’s the case for me. If they did unlimited hotspot data then no one would buy internet so they phone companies scam us into buying it by not letting us use sufficient hotspot data.

Although I am still learning this device, if you access remote play(after connecting it to your PS4) it will automatically turn on your device, and when you power down it will turn off your PS5.

How exactly are you able to play from anywhere? The ps4 is just connected to the hotspot on the phone. Jusg because the connection comes from the laptop doesnt make it playable from anywhere lol! As soon as your away your hotspot wont work. What you have to do is buy a internet stick that enables sim cards. Also you will need a ethernet to usb adapter. I just bought the huawei e3372 as the stick and an rj45 ethernet to usb adapter. And with that you can plug it to your ps4 which connects it to your mobile data. Then you should be able to play it from anywhere, with you mobile phome. Not sure what you did here lol!

You don't have to be on WI FI for it to work. I'm on my PS5 remote play and in the remote play settings menu there is an option to use mobile data. Works good on my Samsung s21 ultra at least!!!! Good vid tho!!!!!
