  • Today I'm planting a new variety of slicing cucumber, Beit Alpha. It is known for its thin skin and sweet taste, we will see how it stands up to the North Carolina summers!

Do you plant a lot of flowers to bring in pollinators ? Or do you have bees on your farm and they take care of that ?

We have lots of blooms with squash and other vegetables growing all year long, usually enough to keep the pollinators around

I have the worst luck with cucumber beetles infecting the plants, and having to throw them out after they scribble up and the leaves wilt. I have used soapy water, neem and even peroxide on the leaves but nothing has worked, and wondering how you handle them on a bigger scale?

I don’t like to use pesticides to control pest but if I do have to use anything it is Spinosad, it will control beetles, and it is organic

What brand of ground cover do you use? I ordered some that has a 40 year life. When it came in it said 40 year life if covered over and only one year not covered.
