I’m a ki-ling (weki meki fan) and it’s saddens me so much. There are clearly financial issues, but there’s something more going on since Astro’s mvs are, yes simple, but so much more developed and special... I don’t know what Fantagio is doing with Weki Meki, but they deserve so much more than this. Their concept is so interesting and they could do AMAZING mvs, yet they ended up with mvs like Dazzle Dazzle and Oopsy... I truly hope it’ll get better for them.
What disappointed me most was, the teaser photos for this comeback were so good (I mean guns? Rabbit and wolf masks? Those were really great concepts) but the MV did not live up to the expatiations. None of the lovely concepts were used in the Mv.
Rocky Sweg have more talent than you But they would get more recognition and popularity (so more sales in the end) if they were giving a good budget and better marketing.

Agreed that this MV is way better than Dazzle Dazzle, but I don't think how it looks is necessarily a budget issue, but more a deliberate design choice. I love how minimal and elegant this MV is styled and I think it matches the tone of the song really well. Musically, it's just as good as Picky Picky for me. One of WeMe's best and SOTY contender, no doubt from me.
@Blink&You’ll,Miss!!! but like budget is definitely a factor here lmao, I don't dislike the video but they could have gone for simple and elegant in a way that wasn't just one set or them standing behind objects. It's not a critique to the group, we all love Weki Meki but something is definitely going on in the company where they just can't afford to do better mv's for them. LOVE the song but the mv was def a let down. And that's okay to say not every critique is hate
exactly, thank you! the mv isn't one of my favorites but i still enjoyed it. i've seen worse mv's lol, it seems like people will complain about anything.
they have money but they dont want to spend it on weki meki as much as they used to because they are still not really well known in the industry but it looked really cheap most of the m/v was solo shots of them holding stuff and looking into the camera this video was supposed to be expensive looking but it looked cheap but the song is a bop😌
budget is an issue and it is even obvious on their first oopsy stage...
What is sad, is that the teaser (with The guns or the circus theme) looked less cheaper than the M'V.

Actually PD. Opinion is still an opinion. Don't be afraid to not like something cuz you can't satisfy everyone. Everyone even Kpop stan should respect everyone's opinion. I wish PD will upload more reaction to some Kpop MV such as Butterfly - WJSN. It's not spreading negativity. It's your opinion afterall. i think the choreography and live stages was largely why i fell in love with this song. they look gorgeous in the mv, but i agree, it doesn't match the song and additionally they barely even used shots from dance sections in the black outfits, mostly in the blue. it's all really sad because i love weki meki too and think they deserve more than this! i would definitely check out some live stages :)
i think the quality/editing is nice, some scenes wouldve looked rly cool if there was more going on in other scenes. but its just so boring and minimalistic the extire time, theres no juxtaposition so those cool scenes dont stand out. also it was a summer comeback but looked like a winter mv. the song is more like their bsides imo, and yet theres nothing special about it like their bsides. i had so much problems with this comeback, it seemed just thrown together
the teaser images had a theme/story to it, a chandelier, rifles , wolf and rabbit masks. the album is called hide & seek, so where did all of that go?? they easily couldve made a simple story about wolf members hunting rabbit members idk
exactly!! the teaser concept was just thrown out the window sadly though it seemed really interesting. they could've played off how each member except doyeon was holding a gun
The point of Oopsy's MV was to be elegant and simple on purpose. I personally loved the glamour shots that we got, because we don't need that much excitement sometimes.
For me personally the fun and bouncy song doesn't really go with the elegant vibe and the static glamour shots. Maybe they made the contrast on purpose but they probably thought that it's the best they can do to compensate for the lack of budget.
tbh although everyone seems to feel that dazzle dazzle's mv was bad I really liked both the song and the mv, the mv had a clearer direction and honestly feels less budgeted than oopsy because they at least bothered with set design and decor and the vibe was there. nothing wrong with different opinions i like oopsy too but dazzle dazzle to me is superior in almost every way.
Bruh dazzle dazzle is like my favorite gg song of the year...i really couldn't care less if the music video is trash the song slaps so mf hard. Oopsy is also good but dazzle dazzle is miles ahead song wise

Weki Meki are my ults but i also REALLY didn't like the MV for Dazzle Dazzle, don't know who let that happen. The live stages/choreo tho....10/10
Oopsy had much more simplistic choreo but the MV is 10000x better, they didn't try to do more than what they could with the budget they probably had, so they were very different in that sense, for me at least.
i think the design for the video matched the kind of minimalist aesthetic of the song, but it def could’ve been executed better. love the song tho!

i’m really happy nonetheless you reacted to weme, they’re one of my favorite groups and they’re under-appreciated. i never really see much talk about them. they have fantastic bsides and title tracks. yes, idk what fantagio is doing with the mvs but it isn’t fun lol

I wonder if the KPop community is so spoiled that MVs have to be spectacular. For situations like this wouldn't it be better if they just made a performance vide and put some extra money into tso FX and other edits instead of stretching it over something this this?
Kpop fans are starting to act and sound like spoiled brats more and more each day... When majority of kpop fandoms are actually very spoiled 🤔 but they'll still cry over every little thing they don't like.
But, I'm also aware that if the fans don't like something they can obviously voice their opinion about it if they want to. However I feel like when companies put in much money and idols put in a lot of time and effort for the fans to get content. Then why still act like this 😔

I don't think fans are acting spoiled. There are clear budget issues here, simple and elegant can be achieved much better than the way this music video was created. I think some of the shots were great but it didn't all work together, and I really disliked how much of the shots they have of the girls just behind objects. Nothing was really happening in the video, it was just the girls standing around and then shots of the choreo, if there had even been some sort of story or base theme for the girls to do (which there usually is in weki meki vids) then Idon't think the music video would have fallen so flat. Picky Pick for example was great, it was still simple but it had more substance to it.
@@teadora99 there's no guarantee that there's a budget issue, we're not the companies bank statements, simple is better sometimes, like with Candy by Baekyun people said SM was being cheap but in UN Village they weren't, sometimes it's not about the money but more so if they wanna focus on simple stuff so it adds to you being more interested in the vocals
Ok but you can have a cheap video and also have good camera angles... like you don’t need a expensive budget for that
although there is a clear budget issue going on with Fantagio in regards to Weki Meki in particular, I do agree with your criticism. most fans became so spoiled that whenever a group releases something that is not JYP/SM quality of perfection to the minimum details, they'll rage. look at the recent incident with Saturday teasers for example. these fans don't even care if the agency is small, if the group has only two dozens of fans... they demand that top quality in every fucking release. it's unreasonable, really. a rock band can release a music video that is just them standing on a white set and no one will say a word. now, if a kpop group does that, they are doomed. their social media will be flooded with harsh comments.
I feel like this MV was shot in 2020 with 2008-10 in mind. Like random Box sets with random Items to add just something into it. There is no logic it seems and everything just feels like the Director said "Ah hell why not put a feather there, let's put her behind that wooden thing there, idk what it is I think I planned to use it on another set but what ever."

Groups and companys most of the time need to be resorsful, not everyone is YG and not everyone can spend millions on 10 different sets and 40 different outfits , i usually dont mind videos that are simple as long as the camera quality is good , thats what makes or breaks a good video for me , and fantagio provided at least great equiptment to make this look good , also video aside WeMe are constantly providing us with out of this world bops , Dazzle Dazzle is one of my fave songs and this one is amazing too , what im trying to say is that this video does not look bad at all considering Fantagio are walking the thin line of bankruptcy, they are at least puting out something good unlike most companys who will keep their idols in the dungeon in similar circumstances

i definitely feel like fantagio is still struggling a lot, and i was waiting for your reaction to this. i mean i love the song, but the MV was super underwhelming. sure they tried to be minimalistic, but there’s like no sets and the solo shots are honestly just different lights lol. and yes it was kind of boring >:( considering the song and it’s lyrics.
then with astro i feel like knock was AMAZING but again there were barely any sets and mostly lighting and computer edit stuff.
i really hope fantagio can figure out their problems soon... :( bc they deserve better 🥺🥺

i agree there seems to be a financial issue seeing the recent fantagio releases. both dazzle dazzle and oopsy mvs were definitely not my favorite from weki meki. (oopsy is one of my favorite weki meki title tracks though). maybe that was what they were going for? like a simple/minimal style? but even so, astro’s knock knock mv was also very simple but the editing and production made it seem more interesting. idk what fantagio is trying to do with weki meki but i hope they treat them better because they are so under appreciated and have so much potential to be a top girl group.

I absolutely love this song, it's much more mature yet fun and playful. Its one of my favorite releases in a very long time and the MV really shows them as powerful women, as you said though, it does look minimalistic and you can see the smaller budget

What the song lacks is Choi Yoojung popping off rap-wise. I think she is one of the best female rappers in kpop.

It is so sad that Weki Meki is so underrated, because not only is their music really good, but their stage presence and performance is also excellent. Usually I get a bit tired of watching live stages after 2 weeks, but not with them. It's always a delight for me to watch their performance and I honestly could do it forever. I sadly feel like before Astro became more popular Fantiago promoted Weki Meki better, but now the roles seem to be switched :/

I always feel like something is just missing from Weki Meki songs.. EXEPT B-side Metronome,hit me like truck in 2018. It was in my,TOP-10 Most Listened songs 2018 on Spotify and it's still in my playlist sometimes. Don't ask me why..

The song was really good the mv just felt bland like there wasn’t much going on. Like I don’t need 50 scene changes and 20 outfit changes but if a little more was done this would be great
the thing that upsets me the most about this mv is the fact that it's _completely_ irrelevant to the teaser pictures we were given. as a fan of them myself and seeing as i was accompanying the teaser pictures as they came out, it seemed like they were going for a very "ready or not" (the 2019 movie) vibes with the shotguns and the creepy but elegant animal masks in which NONE of those elements were featured in the actual music video. why would they put them in those outfits and makeup *just* for a photoshoot and not shoot anything for the actual mv? fantagio make it make sense
