It's complicated. Honestly I'm happy they're back, the song itself isn't bad it has beautiful chorus but the outro isn't as satisfying as their usual title track. And OTR should give us songs like Miracle and 22 Century Girl(same producer) again for B-side

this. THIS WAS AN AMAZING COMEBACK. I am absolutely floored with the visuals man, fromis_9 has always been a visual group but they topped all of their previous looks imo. The vocals? Exquisite. The line distribution is really fair for this and I can't be any happier.

I do kind of agree that this is the most “commercial” and maybe even “generic” fromis_9 has ever sounded, but I do think this is the strongest fromis_9 title track, even compared to love bomb. The problem I’ve had with fromis_9 since their debut is that their songs, as much as they feel earnest and emotional, don’t feel very coherent to me and I feel they only showcase one side of fromis_9’s variety of strengths. Love bomb’s chorus is so lush and I appreciate the contrast of the rhythmic and hollow verses, but it lacks the consistently melodic quality of DKDK. Similarly, I think Fun leans too heavy into its youthfulness and lacks the emotional weight of DKDK and love bomb. Feel good feels consistently earnest, youthful AND melodic. Fromis_9 have grown up and I really appreciate this change in maturity. I hope this builds into a signature sound for them!

Scott Pilgrim Agreed that 22CG is their strongest track overall, but I do feel Feel Good is probably their strongest title track and the most representative of their sound/image.

@@guy2006 glad you mention Dreamcatcher. They're the type of group that have great songs from the start, but they didn't stick to their roots, and change their songs for the worst to suit the mainstream audience. You can grow and mature, and the genre can change, but the song and vocal composition will still be there to identify the group

exactly! I love how in the last few title tracks they've had different members rapping, and her rapping really fit the upbeat vibe of this song Im obsesseddddd
there's nothing wrong with being commercial, sometimes a group NEEDS to sell, and hopefully this comeback bring fromis_9 more recognition from public so they can release more music and maybe back to their unique sound. i fully enjoyed this song.
I fully support them going super mainstream, commercially appealing. They desperately need a hit to ensure more comebacks after the hiatus. I think it retains the passionate vocals and whimsical nature of the girls to keep it from being boring though!

I personally really love the song and i think this comeback is actually perfect. As many have said, i'm just happy to see them back. This is definitely not the typical Fromis 9 sound because, for me, when i think about their previous 3 comebacks i think "bright" "fun" and "energetic" with their sound being a lot more "poppy". This on the other hand while also fun... feels more "refreshing" and "evolved" and i love the disco-ey feel and vibe of the song -- it's a different kinda sound for them but one that is also interesting. I really will always love their older sound which is what made me a Flover, but i'm more than ready to accept this new phase and can't wait to hear the b-sides. I hope for Seoyeon quick recovery. Fighting!!

i literally have no complaints about this, i absolutely love it... i don’t know if i’ve ever loved a (kpop) song this much on a first listen. i haven’t had the time to listen to the album yet but if it’s good, they will officially become the only artist for me who truly has a flawless discography. i’m not joking...
This was so life-changing I'm not even gonna lie, since last year's comeback, I kinda drifted away from fromis_9 and I felt really bad about it... But now, I hope to be able to support them better than before as a flover! Here's to a better and more successful future fromis_9! You guys never disappoint! Thanks so much PD for the very heartfelt and kind remarks to the girls, you're the best!

Hayoung is one of my ultimate favourite vocalists. She has that eerie color to her voice anad makes even generic song a Fromis_9 song. Feel Good is the song that I will replay for a long time. It's not Love Bomb, but also no other song will ever be Love Bomb, my top 3 kpop song ever (and I'm in the kpop community for 10 years already), but it's such a good song. At first listen I was like, will this be forgetable song but it stuck with me from the first listen and I just LOVE IT.

As someone who's an actual girl group stan, I would say that this doesn't feel commercial at all. It might be bc, as PD said, fromis_9 always sings from their hearts and I'm really happy to see them back. I'm not attached to groups concepts, I think it's dumb when fans get sad over this kind of things. I stan a lot of groups and I'm always grateful when they try different things. Humans are always changing, I think it's selfish to expect that one group stays with the same concept just bc you, as a fan, feel attach to it. Sometimes I don't understand people that get mad when groups change concepts bc people used to get angry at gfriend when they used the same kind of sound so at the end of the day, I feel like it is very difficult to please people so groups might as well just experiment.
I don't like when people use the word "commercial", it feels like people are dismissing a group's work, but I get what PD was trying to say.
I'm really happy to see fromis_9 back, it really feels good. I missed the so much.

People stan groups because they like their music. If their style and concept changes, people may not like the music anymore. So they love the group but dislike their music and if they can't come to love it then they may end up unstanning. It is sad and not hard to understand.

@@alicehwang9266 I understand perfectly your point, I'm not saying that you have to like everything a group makes. What I'm trying to say is that change is good (sometimes) and pushing artist to remain the same and not giving them freedom to experiment with music, even though they are musicians, it's selfish.
Personally, I don't like the new title (and album) not because it's a different style, but because it's so 'toned down' and doesn't feel as representative of the girls as their previous songs. The style isn't really a problem for me - fromis has shown with their previous bsides they can handle multiple different styles. I've liked all of fromis's previous songs including their bsides, and this whole album, while well-created and not particularly _bad_, just feels like an album that could be sold to other girl groups, rather than an album created specifically with fromis in mind.
I don't hate this song tho. Just don't like it, and sad that I
can no longer go to fromis and expect the same joy I used to get from their albums. To be fair, it's pretty hard to experiment with new styles while still keeping a strong uniqueness. I usually see this succeed only when the group/solo has a particularly notable singing/rapping style or voice.
.....I re-listened to fromis's songs and I think the main difference might be the vocal/singing style used in the new album? In previous albums even with different musical styles they had a certain vocal distribution/singing style, which may be what I had associated with the unique 'fromis_9' flavour. Not an expert or anything though so I may be spouting nonsense.
i kid you not, i am full on OBSESSED with this song. playing it 25/8. every time i listen to music, i'll listen to feel good 72 times in one sitting. THIS song, is what made me a flover. im a big fan of these types of songs, and the first time i listened to it, it hit me right at that spot. perfect, amazing, showstopping. i love this song SO SO MUCH.

i feel this is more generic for fromis_9 but i feel it's pretty unique to the girls because their vocal tones. i love this party concept that they started with love bomb ! it's pretty unique to them ( also laboum's music before between us and yulhee's departure ) ! this is a more mature party concept but the energy of a party concept. i love it, fromis is literally one of my favorite groups ever .. probably my ult ngl
At first i also thought this was quite generic, really good but nothing too special, but then i kept listening to it and it is actually a peculiar song, it feels like if Love Bomb went partying, the chorus also has that nostalgic feeling and the bass sounds SO NICE. Idk much about music but it felt more profound or strong that your regular girl group party song. I guess it's very subjective.
I love all fromis_9 title tracks and I agree that they are growing with each one and that includes this one. I love the feelings in this song the happiness, the confidence and the positive attitude which makes it so hard to look away from them!

The album is a solid every song is a title track worthy. a must listen.
This is my favorite girl group song, choreo, and MV ever! This kept me from getting depressed during the pandemic. I listened to it over and over. I loved every music show performance and MV of Feel Good. Fromis _9 looks so beautiful and had the most beautiful outfits for their performances. I am still obsessed with this song, choreo, and MV!

The teasers for Feel Good didn't grab me to be honest. I was pretty meh on it....and then the M/V released and I played it non stop till 2 am. It's such a bop that just soaks your bones in disco gravy until they are like jello and just can't stop moving

idk how fromis_9 is always able to make me OBSESSED with their songs ever since love bomb came out. their songs have always been my favourite, my love. always been super catchy and make me so happy listen to them.
Feel Good is pop PERFECTION and aptly titled as well. While taking risks and stepping outside of the box in music is great, there is something so satisfying about the simplicity of happy and catchy pop music. This is the kind of song you want to turn on and have fun dancing around with your friends while singing into your hairbrush and jumping on your couch. It's not a song that makes you think, it's a song that makes you "Feel Good".

When it comes to disco funk style songs, the guitar backing is so important and it’s so good in Feel Good. It’s more present than in something like Love Bomb where it was an electric guitar that you could’ve gone without noticing if you hadn’t tried to listen for it, but it was equally important. I’m so happy their new song has such a good rhythm and I honestly hope they get their first win this time around.

When I first watched this song, I did think that it does sound generic BUT the VOCALS! I didn't expect their vocals to sound so mature! I was so used to their past voices in previous songs but I realized that how great their voices are and that need to shine more! There is so much potential with them and I feel like this song is a stepping stone to newer sounds/genres for their future music.
