13:54 I couldn't agree more, one of the MAAAAANY things i REALLY love about tripleS is how grounded their entire identity as a group feels One of the things they do that i feel like helps with that a lot is how they implement regular people interacting with the girls. The members are not in some higher than life scenario or on some fantasy land, they're just hanging around. On Generation, Rising, Cherry Talk, and now Girls' Capitalism, there's ALWAYS regular people interacting with them in some way or another, they always make sure to ground these happenings in reality and that does help a LOT. They're also frequently using devices and apps we use daily: Rising - using the laptop/phone to watch themselves; Generation - tiktok/reel thing; Cherry Talk - Chat Apps, and here Seoyeon uses Instagram. All of that culminates on the group feeling very real/grounded and super easy to relate to, not to mention the stellar work done by UNDERMOOD FILM on these videos, they're all incredibly directed (thanks Oh Jiwon!) and super consistent visually, even if the concepts are completely different AND THAT'S JUST VISUALLY IM NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT HOW MUCH I LOVE THEIR SONGS
this is my favorite triples comeback out of the 5 we've had so far. especially on the mv side, its the mv that makes you fall in love with them the most, and it has details you only notice on second watch when you've absorbed how fun it is
Something that imo adds to the idea of self love/ emphasis on positive self worth that you point out is the trainees are never in the same room and none of them know the identities of the other trainees. They don't compete directly with each other or have to gather and do evaluations in front of the company and each other, so while they do still have evaluations it isn't the case they have the ability to compare themselves to anyone else and there's no "so-and-so is always ranked first and I'm at the bottom" scenario that could spawn or significantly add to feelings of poor self worth or self esteem. Additionally, on the note of mental health, because the group is so big already and will be even bigger once all the members are revealed it's probably the case they'll mostly promote in much smaller subunits; if this is true I would think it's probably the case the members will get way more break time than most if not all other current, frequently promoting groups I would imagine.

triples are my ult gg alongside skz, i feel like not only do they have such a grounded group identity, but they also just seem to have fun and enjoy being idols and being around eachother, the other subunit, evolution, has also had their comeback now and is definitely worth a listen as it is a slightly different direction musically but is still such a strong song
they just did a fun fan service thing where they re-recorded Rising with ALL 16 members and shot a performance video of it on their channel. You should check it out!

The best straight up visual video of the year, I think the MV is hilariously genius. But maybe IVE's Either Way is just as good, emotionally genius, but it's obviously hard to compare the two.
