I watch alot of your videos Duf and I respect your opinion on EUCs. I agree with you that $4000 USD is insane. To me it's just another poorly designed GW wheel with more battery and more speed.
@@Tsunseyu I agree that supply chain issues don't equate to low prices but I think the community should start to demand more from GW in general. They don't even recommend people charge their machines indoors anymore. InMotion designed a custom, automotive grade headlight for the V11 and was still competitively priced. GW puts out a bigger plastic box to hold more batteries and a bigger motor and asks for $4,000. If InMotion ever put out a wheel and asked for that much they probably wouldn't recycle old headlights from a previous model (even though the V11 headlight should be industry standard)
People want the latest and fastness wheel and will pay, but Kingsong and Inmotion will eventually see Extreme, Gotway and Veteran out of the market. To put it simply its a bit like a car startup Vs Mercedes or BMW. R&D is one thing that takes time and massive amounts of money, I stronly believe that the KingSong 20x will mark the begining of the end Gotway, Extreme and Veteran. Ps dont be suprised if KingSong introduce CPT (Cutout Prevention Technology).
She stole the show that eagle Just as beautiful in person , and it rocked up that rocky hill like nothing , the torque looked impressive as well as the sex appeal 💪😂
A very fair & informative review. We need more unbiased impressions like this. I'm also very impressed that you stressed the weight/bulk being not ideal (to put it mildly) for offroad situations. Offroad being tight gnarly trails rather than just wide flat & smooth terrain (dirt or otherwise). I feel you have much better cred being untethered to ks👍
I really appreciate the honest review of the Commander, the impression and technical details that have been said about this wheel. I am not sold on it considering "The Bad". That being said which wheel offers decent moderate to high range, off-road capability, 60 kph+, stability and durability.... Basically all the high notes. I would love to ride it to work, but would also like to hit the trails to explore and have fun...
Great video! Loved the presentation and the material covered since it’s what I wanted to know about the Commander. It has that range and it has that higher torque (in the HT version) that the Sherman didn’t have, especially for a heavier rider like me. Even has some resistance to water that I didn’t hear others mention previously. That 4K price tag is really a buzzkill for me and a lot of folks, especially as you said, with the questionable design choices…4K isn’t for a wheel with backwards speaker and Sub par headlights. Yikes. It does have that huge battery which is nice, but regarding Gotway wheels, I’d say EXN Torque just feels like a better value. Looking forward to your next Video! S20 looks to be the big darling of the new wheels.
I would buy a pack of replacement mountain bike pedal grip pins/screws($10 on amazon). Then drill and tap a few holes in each pedal on the commander and add some of the pins. I would rather do that than spend another $250 on pedals. Especially since the commanders pedals are very large and machined aluminum.
Why they would put speakers in the back and not a good tail light with break light , just looks horrible to put speakers in the back like that . I would want other people to know I am slowing down by a break light in the back not speakers I just don't get that . Does the commander even have a rear tail light at all??
Riding steep down hill also builds up a lot of heat, and doing back to back up and down is not representative of a real world scenario. This also allows the heat to dissipate a bit from the mosfets across the heat sinks.
Great review ! very informative, one thing to consider is the high torque version because the sherman lacks initial torque, other than that, I keep on the sherman, I'm not too bothered by the pedal dip, no problem with the range, 3200 wh is very adequate, and when it comes to lifting the wheel the sherman is more comfortable with the bar

The price of this wheel is simply not worth in £3k in the UK for a device that is not built to 2020 standards, single core wiring, Xt60 or 90 connectors, no sealed batteries, OEM parts, no hollow motor and a lack of a large heat sink. This is still very much a gotway wheel. I think that riders need to support Kingsong and Inmotion. The Kingsong 20x next year will be the standard but to be honest the S20 along with the V12 already are. I think both companies need to be more aggressive and take the market providing speed and range.
My own complain is noisy fan for cooling. Extreme bull i suggest the fan can be off automatically at speeds bellow 15km or 10km/h so one can roll it in a quiet environment.
Speed and range are high on priority list. Water proff ok. Tiltback not cut out perfered. Weight dont care. Speakers dont care. Lights dont care. Trolly handle dont care. Love wheelin yes.
The torque version would be more interesting with street tire. And seated riding is a no go, because I would be sitting on the plastic shell. I want it to be lighter.
You can get a brand new sherman on ali express for 3k, used they are worth around half of the original price, especially if they used it as a wheel to learn on. If anything is scuffed or not new looking deduct what it would cost to replace it from the price(new side panels,new bars,tire, etc). Unless it was never ridden and still in box, it aint worth 100$ less than msrp.

200km rated which is more than he’s getting on the commander , but real test will probably drop but still will be good enough for me and most of the needs of people, I think they hit a perfect balance of range weight and suspension, and let’s not forget the voltage and 300watt more motor on the Eagle .. 3300w… that’s inane the s18 was 2200 and going from 84v to 126, they just skipped 100 all together lol king song has my vote and pre order

@@outerheaven2k7 maybe if I weren’t a off road junkie I’d prefer that for street riding, but the options you have with suspension and smoothness of any type of ride, I can’t go back Imagine a motorcycle cut in half, that’s the S20, imagine a motorcycle without suspension.. kinda defeats the point I highly recommend suspension for everyone and with the other specs you get, bigger motor and voltage , your not sacrificing anything if your ok with the slightly smaller range, the voltage will only eat up the battery if you are always flooring it, both options are good choices though depending on what you like

Btw the Commander is a Begode because there is the same display as my RS19 with the name on it so Gotway and Begode are not the same company ?? I have the EXN and the RS19 both ''Begode'' but i have Gotway sticker for the magnet pedal so what does it mean.

Odd no ankle shoes or even socks. Putting your feet away from the wheel. Making it way harder to ride. Why ? Hit a bump and your already at the edge. Man one good smack on that ankle. No pad there for the ankle. I put on high tops and have double baby pads there for my ankle to hug the wheel
having to buy and or attach aftermarket stuff makes it worse. You can just sit on the commander no extra crap needed( or able to fall off in a crash or whatever else).
you really dont look confortable at all on it. Can literally feel it :s climbing capacity are pretty fine for the weight, at least MB is not burning. ps: nice offset tire ^^

S20 3300w 126v a very very very slow 70kph z10 1800w 48v with mod firmware can be ridden at 58kpg I like the refinment of the s20 but its just to dam slow, i'm not paying epic thousands of dollars to gain 12kph. To me the s20 firmware must be a total fail to only gain 12kph over a old small z10. Commander looks like a fast wheel i'd have like to see you free spin it to max spin. Thanks for posting review, i'd love a commander but a speed version by the sound of these big wheels comming out that are no faster than a old wheel, i don't need extra torque. i need speed.

Damn tat shitt got hot 154 f my v11 the hottest it went was like 130 f
that's only 67c, they can go as high as 110c(230f) before it gets dangerous.

My msx goes the same speed at 84v with a 2500w motor. I wonder if the S20 can even access it's own power? 3300W should be able to hit 60mph(96kph)
