I think the main reason Veteran Sherman is so beloved is something that no other EUC company offers: It just works. It doesn't combust into flames, it doesn't shatter into million pieces in a crash, water doesn't seep in and break everyting, the pedals don't flop open too easily, the screen shows all the relevant info, it has nice heft to it so it stays on points, it has the epic roll cage that you can attach stuff to... IT JUST WORKS. It isn't fancy, but because it just works for vast majority of people, it becomes the fanciest thing around.
Amazing video, Hsiang! Thank you. Didn’t even mention the tubeless tire though! That does a lot for the centripetal force reduction which increases torque by almost 10% alone! Also affects the maintenance.

Awesome review mate, I cancelled my S20/S22 order as I was 116kg / 256lbs and really wanted a big range wheel like the S20 was predicted for. I knew being that weight I would never get what they predicted but thought I should get close 120klms / 75miles range. I ended up buying the Shermax and absolutely stoked with it, I did a range test and got 155klms / 96miles range. I still bought a Max coming from a V12. The high speed range is second to none. However, I rarely go below 50% battery and therefore will get my hand on a master once they sort out the poor headlights and other stuffs. Might sell the max after that as well... But currently, it is a very good wheel that I love to take out.
@@Onetazien Well, much more confident inspiring. Speed is nearly the same but you feel much better cruising above 60. It forgives more forgetting to watch out for pothole. Overall it feels more planted.
@@Onetazien I don't ride that much off road to be honest. The Sherman feels a bit better due to the extra traction of the knobby tires but the higher pedals on the V12 are much better at clearing terrain and I've never clipped them (I did however clip the Sherman max). Weight doesn't feel that different but it has a 10kgs objective weight penalty. I wouldn't say the Sherman max is an off road wheel, you'd be better off with something lighter like an RS HT but it will be able to tackle most of what you'll throw at it.
Thank you for the comparison! I was gung ho on getting a V12 HS this season as my first wheel but the cut off stories have caused me to hold off until I get the right wheel. Enter the Sherman and now you who have ridden both! Which V12 did you have? If the V12 had the same range, would you have kept it vs the Sherman?

Non suspension wheels are awesome because the lack of maintenance. I bought V12 HT even with no fan and I hope for very long lifespan without any maintenance :D.
@TheDownloader86 Please, do a review (V12 HT) after a few hundred miles, with the reliability focus in mind, ASAP. From a customer pow, not from a RUclipsr hidden sales rep, like this one. I’m looking at that wheel, but still circumspect with reliability.
@@TedTheAtheist Thanx, man. My comment was directed to TheDownloader86 and V12 HT. As for Sherman Max, is to heavy for me, as sometimes I will need to carry it upstairs. I also don’t need suspension, because adds weight, points of failure, increase in price and difficulty in changing tire.
They should've released this wheel with a street friendly simple suspension. Nothing over the top. Just a basic ass system that upgrades the sherman to the same wheel with a wee bit of crack softening suspension. Similar to inmotion V11
I think if Begode created an "ECO" mode that the Master could be put into, it could be a game changer. I think everything that is needed to get the Master to reach 90+ miles is there. Maybe I am wrong but I am curious

the segment of riders who actually care about 3600 wh range are riders in my humble opinion that are boring like long haul truckers. blah. sport riders don't care about 100 range. when you're zipping around you city that's not needed. if your trying to get out on back roads and just go in a straight line, ok get a clunky euc that performs best in a straight line. the sherman is a suv as where the new eucs are more akin to exotics where mileage does not trump performance. ‼️ the sherman max is a euc for rider not pilot.
Well, like usual, you still have a very good video and I am still the nitpicker... At 1:48, "Veteran" is not a company name, but a brand name. The company name is "Leaperkim", and they *DO* have a nice web page (albeit mostly in Chinese) (edit: and a logo, too). Both their wheels are called "Veteran", respective "~ Sherman" and "~ Abrams", but the company name is not "Veteran" (they were talking for a while about changing it, but after the failure with the Abrams, the talks went quiet).
well, they did introduce themselves as "Veteran" in the beginning and that's whom I knew them by, and if they have a website they hid it real well since I can't find it!
The only utuber I watch in full screen mode. Not my favorite video though, it’s like you were trying to make some kind of point but got lost in writing of it all. Whenever I happen to lurk around forums of public opinions (comments, posts etc) I almost always get this uneasy feeling that what ‘We, The People’ want absolutely doesn’t match what influencers demand from manufacturers. And of course it could be just my observational bias, but my claim is that for most people, 2 years without new wheels coming out is absolutely fine: they don’t want new wheel models, they want improvements in reliability of old ones; or for most people the biggest criticism is high weight, not lack of speed; or need for waterproofing instead of acceleration and other examples that could generally speaking be brought down to simple philosophy of most people not making euc ownership the center of their lives and not having to record videos for their followers entertainment. This bigger, faster, stronger frenzy ‘does not new followers bring’ and, in fact, I worry that eucs might fall into complete “motorcycle but more dangerous” range and that would pretty much kill the industry. Because wishing for “innovative high-performance” lines and expecting the mid-range or beginner wheels NOT to be neglected in turn is just that: wishful thinking. Euc companies simply do not have that kind of resources, and something has got to give. And an argument can be made that it’s already happened with last year/this year line ups. Plus, considering relative grey area of legality that euc occupies, "small, tasteful and discreet" would actually be a better strategy. Furthermore, in terms of design, what is “innovation” to some is an abomination to others. The so called new-age wheels all have something in common, -- they are absolutely hideous and look like carcasses of dead birds. And if the first wheel I’ve ever laid my eyes on was S22 or Master, I would’ve not given eucs a second thought. But it was Sherman, and so the love bloomed. :) That being said, opinions obviously vary, and I’ve actually seen someone claim that V12 was the ugliest design they’ve ever seen, which to me is blasphemy. But still, there are rules to the aesthetics business and most people intuitively see it in the similar way: ‘News wheels’ aren’t good looking.
thank you for the thoughtful write up, but honestly I think the EUC companies cares neither about what we the "influencers" nor what the "forum enthusiast" ask for, all they care about is what sells. They are in it for the money and if a higher speed/ more powerful wheel sells and generate more profit, that is what they will develop. The vast majority of the ridership post nothing but vote with their wallets and they gets to make the call of what we all gets.
Just thinking about it on a consumer level: Comparing it to an Apple product, Apple supporters will happily fork over for the newest iphone every 2 or 3 years because of the perception of improved hardware, but I feel like that uptake would slow down if it were 3500 bucks and nearly 100lbs. The Max appears not to be a significant upgrade from the previous model like you said so I'd suspect Veteran isn't too keen on pumping too much into R&D especially if they don't even have a website or logo. But for someone who's looking for an upgrade and doesn't mind not haven suspension, this might be a better option than the original Sherman(Assuming they can get it.) But that user case will dwindle the more suspension EUCs arrive from competitors. The window is shrinking.
Why wasn't the Commander mentioned in the review? There is more competition in the high speed long range category, yet the prices are still high. Performance should be 5 out 5. With the big battery you can ride for a long time above a certain speed. In a 40 45 mph marathon the Max will win from the suspension wheels.
He's in New York City. He doesn't care about range. Most people in a dense urban area can walk to get anything they need. But many people, like me, care a lot about range.
@@dialecticalmonist3405 Of course he cares. Then why do lots of other people have the Sherman? evX even mentioned with the Sherman he can ride above a certain speed for a lot longer. I think Hsiang is the only one still riding his old Monster V3 in New York. Sensei or U-Stride even mentioned put of 10 people 7 have the Sherman.

I believe the tire on the wheel he’s riding is the Michelin City Pro. The Michelin Pilot street 2 and the Shinko 244 are probably the most popular at the moment.
Anyone having issues with the Samsung 50e litech batteries shipped by ewheels? I saw a RUclips video where they fail and don’t provide the range. Just wondered if this is a consistent issue??

So so true, Sherman have really dropped the ball on suspentions, instead of offering teasers they need to get the product out there. At the prices being charged the days of multi wheel buying customers is rapidly ending.
What is this thing with extra torque and accel. madness lately? I purchased my Sherman in 2020 and though excited about this Max sequel I never hear the Max is so much of a big deal compared to the original... A little more is just not enough for me to drift from best to unknown. I hear the Max has thicker wires and that's about it plus the bigger motor and capacity...A little more torque maybe, but a little more weight too so I can do well with the original when I go off-road and I sincerely think it wasn't designed for that in the first place.I haven't even reached its speed limits and I hardly think I'll need to, it's a real fast machine in the city , it remains very safe at 42-44 and very stable. Try that with the new wheels...Also prices have gone bonkers since I got mine and oh, boy... Am I glad I bought not one but two Shermans. I'm holding to this wheel with tooth and nail. It's faster than the max and it's torque may not be the best to climb places where a Sherman just shouldn't be so I couldn't care less. I tried the s22 lately and there's no color to it... Very comfortable and shiny and beautiful toy,and also can't wait to test the Master but I get the slight feeling it's not going to blow my mind when compared to my Veteran. Yes, suspension looks and feels real good but with such tyre of mine I don't really need it yet... Let them develop the whole package. So glad the value on my Sherman hasn't plummeted at all...Ohh, not at all by no means.Even a V1 is still unbeateable in speed and range and we'll take you just about anywhere rain or shine, tarmac or trail. I wouldn't pay what they ask for a Max right know ni harto de vino. And the Master still has a lot to demonstrate...
Yeah bro but you didint mention the sherman max strong point wich is the max range 144 miles thats like 70 miles of fast time unlike KS s22 or Begode Mater wich comes up short 30-40miles of fast time only.
I mean i can understand some people but im more of a cruising guy like going long distances and if i can go faster for long distances it wont take long to get there, i care less about jumping or tricks or anything that has to do with destroying your wheel little by little.
Question is which EUC would you trust more? Sherman Max or the Master or the S22? If you're a suspension fan, then it's a given. If you're open to either (suspension/non-suspension), I'd put my money on the Shermax given the litany of issues with the Master and S22.
I got max and master. Tested the s22. What I can say is max is a well rounded wheel. Better balance and best range. Master is nice and is 100% the faster safe wheel. And at 45 mph, suspension is amazing boosy
@@Skrippykrotangler I could be wrong, but isn't the s22 the only one with an actual sealed area around the electronics? If anything, of the new wheels, I was under the impression it was the most water resistant.
I know everyone wants the fastest, longest range, wheel out there but how often do people ever ride at 35mph+? How often to they ride further than 40 miles at a time? How many people could even lift a Shermax up a flight of stairs? I do like that Sherman produce a fairly rugged wheel that's easy to customise but I find all these modern wheels just too big, too fast and too expensive.
Is it very risky to switch to road tire immediately? Still waiting for Sherman Max to be received but decided to change to road tire before 1st ride. Already watched all possible videos and read all forums, so in theory, know almost everything, but fear to do something wrong during tire replacement is here :( Need road tire for the maximum range. Bought Kenda 2.75-14 k340A-003 35P. Does anyone use this tire? How much more range I will get with the road tire on 55psi? It should be noticeable (hoping). At least a 10% range increase should be there. Please correct me if I'm thinking wrong.
Really nice review as usual. You have positioned that wheel really well. Of course the real problem is we cant get any of these wheels, just promises and hopes. And a few unsettling accounts of various faults that really shouldn't be there.
the new sherman s is looking sexy. it may be only 100v but 100v has been tested and most bugs been worked out already. i feel the sherman s will be a good choice at the new euc cost i want reliable and build quality. i wanted the s22 but way to many bad things with that wheel if i was hard core jumper i would go with the s22. the master does look sexy with the 136v but the range is about as good as my ks 16s lol. the sherman s i feel as of right now is the most all around euc coming out
I dont trust that style of helmet you are wearing, because of the potential for the front brace bar possibly catching on something during a collision. It looks like it could remove the head like a portable type of gillotine. We need to learn how to reattach the head to the neck.
I'm in favor of capping battery capacity around 2000Wh and reducing weight a bit. For long rides just put another 2000Wh in a backpack or something. 2400Wh weighs only 10kg. So a 4000Wh MSX84 weighs a total of 33kg. NOT 40-50kg and a mere 3000Wh. (that you can't strip to go to the store).
I agree, The Begode hero at 36kg and 2000Wh is the heaviest I'd ever consider. If you want excessive battery and suspension you get the EX20s and that's literally a tank
In my mind, till the next gen wheel proves themselves a little more, the Sherman (OG or Max) is probably the most dependable wheel on the market. It's still on the upper echelon of range which the newer Master & S22 severely lacks and performance is still very very competitive. It also has the "Tried & Tested" badge that the newer wheels still needs to earn in my eyes. Great review again mate. Stellar work! BTW, what tyre is that on the Max??? Been tempted to put a street tyre on my mine and that one looks the Biz!
Personally I would never ride a non suspension wheel 35+mph. One unforseen mild bump/pot hole is going to bounce the wheel and possibly lead to a overrun cutout. Suspension wheels good or bad are just so much better.
Are the pedals much higher than the original? Only euc that would make me switch from the s20 but no suspension, no spiked pedals, no footrest and no seat is difficult to justify it just for the range
You can get all this for Shernan for $400 approximately; suspension is additional possible headache and not required for 99% of situations (like full suspension bike and the road carbon fiber bike; difference in perfomance per watt quite noticable, so no need of suspension [if crazy full speed offroad not something you obsessed about])
Hit subscribe guys!!💯😬 Don’t know why your subs are low🤔 You have excellent content and have been at it for more then a minute 🤔 Good on you for keeping at it👍
I understand the frustration about been in stock but you can't just blame that on the manufacturers, these things are mass produced in a factory somewhere in china so surely a large part of the blame has to lie with the retailers for not getting decent stock levels in, although I do get their point too because this hobby is still so nich so they obviously don't wanna get stuck with loads of units they can't shift.
If leaperkim make some more general improvments and fits an even stronger motor and a 134v system on the sherman, like the master, anything will beat it.
true but I feel like there are very few people that would actually run out of juice on the original sherman in a single ride that I didn't feel like the upgrade made a huge difference to most.
convinience is 5/5, cant emphasize it enough times you dont lift a heavy euc like that on stairs you just push it up easily on the stairs also for all those pusspapers out there who call themselves man finding a 40kg or 50kg euc heavy go do some workout honestly i wouldnt even mind if an euc would weight 100kilos as long as its a beast machine capable of doing awsomeness
Electric Dreams ranked the Begode ex20s very low. He said, "It's so heavy and it moves like a frick'n ox. It doesn't turn well. It doesn't brake well. It doesn't accelerate well." I wonder why your opinions are so wildly different.
Seems like Veteran may be a one-trick pony. I wonder if they have the staff and bandwidth to develop a higher power suspension wheel at this point? If not, they could be in for hard times.
Well as for me (or as some call me, the ultimate party pooper!) the Sherman might not be the best selling EUC, I think this award still goes to the V8 serie.. Although I do understand the hype of new powerful wheels, I'm personally more in need of a new "small" wheel, like a 16inch with suspension. Compagnies this year seem to not even want to compete Gotway, but motorcycles compagnies ! Which I personally think is not that of a good idea. Would like to have a compagny releasing a new, good, average Joe, city and offroad commuter with good screen, options, lights, attractive design..
Why does he call the company veteran when its actually called leaper kim? Thats like mistaking Charger for the actual company name of Dodge and claiming Charger puts out an awesome RS (car )
I’d rather a company make a good quality, rugged, tough, high performance wheel with quality parts every year than to make a new fancy wheel that has to compromise. 55mph wheel with a small battery pack is like a hot girl that can’t cook…
It isn't fancy, but because it just works for vast majority of people, it becomes the fanciest thing around.

crappy suspension wheels are shit i would stil take a wheel without it like the sherman rather then a v12 or s22 or even master... challanger, master pro better make some quality suspension this year, they all sound like they about to fall apart im worried the sherman s with susp. might suck but here is hope if only they would not make it a 100V thing common leaperkim/Linea move away from 100V
@@whitecrow984 V12? Doesn’t have suspension. But agree they need improved. Overall I feel less tired after riding my EX than my RS. Not massively but noticeable.
I have V1 and getting the Max as backup wheel.
Keep in mind I have drop a lot of weight since I ordered the Shermax to get more range. I did a Relive video and put all the stats at the end of it but due to community standards I am unable to put an outside link in this comment. I will try send you a message on FB messenger if I can find your page.
Keep in mind the Shermax will be my range wheel general wheel but decided as soon as I sell my EX-N HS I will be buying an S22 for off-road and around town fun wheel aswell.

Dude love the bronze bars … did you do that or do you know how he painted those bars? Magnetic coating metal is almost impossible to do at home
Awesome 😎 thanks brother!!🙏 I have the veteran Sherman Max and it is awesome unfortunately I only had it for a week and I had a crash and broke my left shoulder. I broke the screen and the pedals. But have since had them repaired and my machine is looking awesome, I can’t wait to ride again!
What caused the crash if I may ask? Did you overpowered it or hit a pothole? Just received my max 2 days ago 🤟
You can ride with a broken wing, bro.
Why did you crash?
That's important information to newbs like me who are thinking of getting one.

I still bought a Max coming from a V12. The high speed range is second to none. However, I rarely go below 50% battery and therefore will get my hand on a master once they sort out the poor headlights and other stuffs. Might sell the max after that as well... But currently, it is a very good wheel that I love to take out.
Excluding speed and range how is the ride compared to the V12? Thanks
@@Onetazien Well, much more confident inspiring. Speed is nearly the same but you feel much better cruising above 60. It forgives more forgetting to watch out for pothole. Overall it feels more planted.
@@TheThunderwars Thanks. Another question, how does it compare off road? Thanks again!
I am new to EUCs and starting with an S18. I suspect I may never ride a non-suspension EUC!
I think you messed up it says uni vlog inmotion v12 at 0:36 that was weird
great video, i cant wait to receive my sherman max soon
New Subscriber...been watching your videos off and on and your content is always informative. I just upped my game with a RSHS from Ewheels w/ Li-tech battery cells. Totally different coming from a 16X but loving it. Ended up chopping the knobby CST tire so I can carve like the tire I'm used to. Rides beautiful know. Would love a Sherman but the price, weight are a major factor. Mostly the price...LOLOL
How do you like that P42 cell RS19? Was looking at that one as my first wheel but now have been bit by the Sherman bug bc it just works and is safe! How is your RS19 treating you? What range do you see?
@Mike T I probably got to ride it 4 or 5 months of the year plus I've owned it. On 2nd motherboard and dead again. I'm just gonna have to pay to send it in and fix it or sell as is to someone who wants the headache.
@@MalcontentYouth I'm sorry to hear about your motherboard dying. This is the first time I've heard of the RS motherboard dying like the V12. Hopefully it didn't cut out while you were riding. 🙁 Sorry Man
Hi Hsiang, thanks for your videos. Could you tell me what you use to put your phone on your arm? Seems like a good solution. I have one as well, but yours seems better. Thanks!

I hope they come out with an Abrams Max that has a proper sized battery & have the issues fixed. I really dig the Abrams but for it's size & weight they really didn't build it to live up to it's namesake.
The difference between faster and the fastest fade away compared with the difference between brittle and the sturdiest.
Having a hard time deciding between the Sherman max and begode master. Any tips? My concern with the max is no suspension. I don’t want a lot of added wear and tear on my knees. But my concern with the master is range. Some have sad it is pretty low. Any tips are greatly appreciated!!!
I have V1 and getting the Max as a backup wheel.
why are we stuck at 20", i so much prefer my 22" monster v3 tyre, they do like 10k before refreshes
Non suspension wheels are awesome because the lack of maintenance. I bought V12 HT even with no fan and I hope for very long lifespan without any maintenance :D.
Yup. I don't care for the maintenance. I'll wait a few years for suspension to come into play.
@TheDownloader86 Please, do a review (V12 HT) after a few hundred miles, with the reliability focus in mind, ASAP. From a customer pow, not from a RUclipsr hidden sales rep, like this one. I’m looking at that wheel, but still circumspect with reliability.
@@danmano478 I have a Sherman Max. Just put over 1500 miles on it since I got it a couple months ago. Love it. DOn't need suspension.
@@danmano478 hi, I did 100km and so far no issues. Only system sounds are buggy, but it rides fine so how cares 😂
They should've released this wheel with a street friendly simple suspension. Nothing over the top. Just a basic ass system that upgrades the sherman to the same wheel with a wee bit of crack softening suspension. Similar to inmotion V11
Pretty disappointing that the Max wasn't built to be a faster wheel than the regular Sherman with it having a bigger battery and motor
I think the Sherman Max should have come with a 3500W motor HT.
The beeps start at 43 mph on the max but you can push it up to 50 mph with no issues. A youtuber named alexutlang has a video of it.

Any idea how long until we see the V13?

That being said, opinions obviously vary, and I’ve actually seen someone claim that V12 was the ugliest design they’ve ever seen, which to me is blasphemy.

Obviously range matters for everybody.
But if you own 5 different machines and have ridden nearly everything as test units and ride all the time, you will probably get bored with a cruzer type of machine that "gets the job done" but doesn't push the envelope of your hobby.
Great Video! Which shoes are you wearing?
I'm sure the sherman is awesome but if I end up getting another wheel it has to have suspension.
Mine don't have gold roll bars ? But I like the black bars .
What vehicle are you riding at 3:37?
that was my ninebot z10!
What tier do you use for Max?
I believe the tire on the wheel he’s riding is the Michelin City Pro. The Michelin Pilot street 2 and the Shinko 244 are probably the most popular at the moment.
Anyone having issues with the Samsung 50e litech batteries shipped by ewheels? I saw a RUclips video where they fail and don’t provide the range. Just wondered if this is a consistent issue??
I had to send my Shermax back to ewheels for a bms issue, I only put ~200 miles on it before I got the error code and couldn't ride the wheel.
Sherman Owners be like....... "Adding blue fur to my Monster Pro 2022." " VSV2.0 - VSMax Love both my units..............." "The ex2-c38 is the unit right now baby!!"
you talk me out of considering this, thank you
as for the new euc, they are crazy expensive, so i will keep waiting
Most don’t ride past 20 miles so 1800wh is the sweet spot.
I mean i can understand some people but im more of a cruising guy like going long distances and if i can go faster for long distances it wont take long to get there, i care less about jumping or tricks or anything that has to do with destroying your wheel little by little.
@@elgringodelasscooters9616 Understand and nothing wrong w that. That’s why there’s so many variations, something for everyone’s ride preference.
Which tire was on that wheel, and how did you like it compared to the stock Kenda 262?
Any info regarding those custom headlight?
Question is which EUC would you trust more? Sherman Max or the Master or the S22? If you're a suspension fan, then it's a given. If you're open to either (suspension/non-suspension), I'd put my money on the Shermax given the litany of issues with the Master and S22.
I got max and master. Tested the s22. What I can say is max is a well rounded wheel. Better balance and best range. Master is nice and is 100% the faster safe wheel. And at 45 mph, suspension is amazing boosy
Other than the frail seat area, and sub par shock, what other issues does the master have?
@@unwound3719 water proofing
@@Skrippykrotangler I could be wrong, but isn't the s22 the only one with an actual sealed area around the electronics? If anything, of the new wheels, I was under the impression it was the most water resistant.

Do you know any website where I can buy euc tires ? Looking to buy master street tire
Already watched all possible videos and read all forums, so in theory, know almost everything, but fear to do something wrong during tire replacement is here :(
Need road tire for the maximum range. Bought Kenda 2.75-14 k340A-003 35P. Does anyone use this tire? How much more range I will get with the road tire on 55psi? It should be noticeable (hoping). At least a 10% range increase should be there. Please correct me if I'm thinking wrong.
range depends on waay too many factor than just tire. yes a harder tire should get you better range but you won't know for sure until you try.

Hope someone tells this to leaperkim and they listen.
Would you rather the Sherman max or ex20s?
Isn't this illegal in nyc.
What isn't illegal in nyc??

true but I feel like there are very few people that would actually run out of juice on the original sherman in a single ride that I didn't feel like the upgrade made a huge difference to most.
@@OWGAC Fair call 🤙 I have never ridden my Sherman down to completely flat, gotten close but my old man legs are done by then.

You omitted range in your performance assessment. You can’t really compare it to the Master. Apples and oranges.
100% agree. SHERMAN need to get suspended before they see a dime from me.

Well, I am gonna review the Mten next, can’t get any smaller than that!! =D
I think the sherman isnt that much of an improvement over the og sherman.
"Custom pedal" be really careful if you're only riding with one pedal. LOL
As an old bugger I need a suspension, when it's time to buy n.2 that's the first criterion.
