Hey Hsiang, Do you plan on reviewing the commander mini GT with 20 inch tire anytime soon? And, do you have any preliminary thoughts on this wheel? I'm really curious about this wheel at 20inches for ultimate stability at speed IMHO. But, curious to the possible adverse trade-offs going up from a 16inch tire. Thanks again
In one video you said pursuing top speed was like "going 50 with a canonball between your legs", and ever since I've called electric unicycles "Cannonballs." Still feels apt, especially as the smaller ones get faster.
I really wanted to love the Mini. The specs (on paper) are superior to the Patton and it's significantly less expensive. But the reviews don't lie and it seems that the Patton might be the better long-term choice. I'll give it 6 weeks and see if the Mini gets a firmware update If you've ridden both feel free to reply! Sorry man..I generally love your reviews and a huge supporter. But I'm not sure how you can call this one a "In-Depth" review. You mistakenly state it does not have bluetooth speakers without verify it on the spec sheet. You didn't test it at all at the higher pedal hanger setting and your max speed was below what others have clearly documented on RUclips.
The most significant and maybe only difference between the Begode and EB line of wheels is the different suspension setup they offer. Most everything else, quality, firmware, voltage, etc., are mostly the same. Another great Hsiang review!
No thanks, sticking with the master. Get slightly more speed, 10-12 lbs lighter, and with the new v2 linkages the suspension is no slouch either. It’s amazing how people want a heavier, slower less stable wheel because it’s the latest and greatest when last years wheel is still better from a performance/weight standpoint.
If you don't mind doing 50 rather than 55, and if you want all metal durable build like tank rather than plastic with an inferior suspension and exposed mother board in a crash, the Mini will begin to make since.
Higher output on paper. Efficiency is very difficult to quantify. On paper, even my S22 should perform better than my Patton. The S22 doesn't even come close.
Knee braces are superior to pads in that they help prevent ACL injuries, which is caused by unrestrained twisting on the knee joints. Thanks for your video, you wasted my time again. It's a nice choice for us as Riders, Patton, Commander Mini, T4 or the Begode Extreme, Choose your poison. All good wheels with their pros and cons.
With the current designs, all wheels are unstable over 45-50 mph and require high skill levels to even approach these speeds. Better technology is needed to safely ride over 55mph, mainly due to the gyroscopic forces of the motor. An 150mph wheel is possible with current technology but the scale of the market will not yet support the cost. I believe that within 10 years we should see a 100+ mph wheel that is safer than today’s equipment. The eventual market for EUCs will exceed that of cars and bicycles combined and should only be exceeded by the market for clothing, food or shelter, which is why I take the request for an 150mph wheel seriously… that said, wheels that safely travel in excess of 180mph are unlikely to be seen as mass-market consumables for the foreseeable future, even though theoretically possible. The EUC has the potential to outperform all other vehicles currently available but they will have to radically advance the design for this to become realized. I’d have to do some major calculations but today’s tech could safely reach 70mph if (and only if) the total weight were reduced by half and the power was doubled. This is the reason why manufacturers are now focused on bringing smaller high-performance wheels to market… but it’ll probably be a long/slow evolution to get to 70mph. A radical design revolution is necessary to exceed the current limits. {I’ve described this tech elsewhere but I estimate that costs will triple for a doubling of speed at similar safety margins… so it’s still much cheaper than a comparable preforming automobile, and therefore viable.} FYI, the data collected from usage indicates that the current average speed of EUCs is 17mph… so the market has a long way to go before finally making cars and motorcycles obsolete, which is eventually inevitable, imho.
"Waiting?" This author is waiting for more range than Sherman, suspension rated to 320lbs and hopefully US tax-credit certification. Willing to pay $8-$10k for such a wheel, as will tens-of-thousands of others who will beat a path to buy one. Such a wheel will increase EUC market-size ten-fold. Remember what moving up to 100lb wheel did to market-size? Few anticipated that growth either.

great video! this wheel is completely useless in my opinion. got a few hundred dollars more to spend? get the patton or extreme as both have better battery safety, build quality, and performance. don't have the extra money? the t4 would save you a bunch of money while being just as good and the s19 has better battery safety and build quality than this wheel for the same price so i don't see a reason to get it
Patton is $800 (35%) more from eWheels and $900 (40%) more from eevees versus the Mini's EUCDeals price, although that is with the regular store warranty versus the do-it-yourself parts warranty. Begode Extreme is the same price, but it seems to be meant more as an offroad wheel and there are some complaints about the traction of its tire on street. It's also the difference between a rear mounted air shock and a side mounted oil shock. We'll see how they compare once the reviews are all in.

This is the reason why manufacturers are now focused on bringing smaller high-performance wheels to market… but it’ll probably be a long/slow evolution to get to 70mph. A radical design revolution is necessary to exceed the current limits. {I’ve described this tech elsewhere but I estimate that costs will triple for a doubling of speed at similar safety margins… so it’s still much cheaper than a comparable preforming automobile, and therefore viable.}
FYI, the data collected from usage indicates that the current average speed of EUCs is 17mph… so the market has a long way to go before finally making cars and motorcycles obsolete, which is eventually inevitable, imho.

You’ll regret wearing that particular helmet one day.
I hope you’re wrong for his sake
@@jontaba80 time will tell.
Are you the gear police? Are you his dad? He's been wearing that helmet for years and is obviously happy with it. Why don't you mind your own business and let him be.
@@MrRich777 because he’s promoting it. I don’t care what he does in his own time, but he’s promoting unsafe gear the people who might not know any better. Bet you didn’t think about that hey….
@@skampstermaybe you should save this comment for the TSG Helmet spammers. That helmet is unsafe for the speeds done on EUC and it’s one of the most popular picks…
Can’t watch the rest
Do U even KNOW what a red-headed stepchild really IS??
I was adopted by such LOVING parents at such an early age that certain pictures are indelibly imprinted on my mind, ( the bottom of a telephone pole with a tin garbage can beside it, and sounds of cars going by ). Very bright white and a SMALL sensation of pain.
English terms may introduce a comically-generated “vision”, but let’s all be careful.
While writing this, I completely disregarded whatever you were spewing.
Not un-subscribing.. but WE ARE WATCHING YOU.
great video! this wheel is completely useless in my opinion. got a few hundred dollars more to spend? get the patton or extreme as both have better battery safety, build quality, and performance. don't have the extra money? the t4 would save you a bunch of money while being just as good and the s19 has better battery safety and build quality than this wheel for the same price so i don't see a reason to get it
Patton is $800 (35%) more from eWheels and $900 (40%) more from eevees versus the Mini's EUCDeals price, although that is with the regular store warranty versus the do-it-yourself parts warranty. Begode Extreme is the same price, but it seems to be meant more as an offroad wheel and there are some complaints about the traction of its tire on street. It's also the difference between a rear mounted air shock and a side mounted oil shock. We'll see how they compare once the reviews are all in.
Patton's battery is also 180 Wh smaller. Both wheels are different enough where I think the buyer can weigh the pros and cons of each.
@@updlate4756 put a street tire on a begode extreme and it will be better than the mini in every way. at least that’s what it looks like to me
Good assessment, as always. 👍
I have not outgrown my big wheel
Either. The days of young....!
I would still prefer the Begode extreme
50 mph is too slow its basically an ebike. need a wheel that can hold 70mph for freeways speeds and commutes. otherwise these are just dumb nerd toys
ebikes are generally limited to 28mph, EUCs blow them out of the water in terms of performance. Get a motorcycle if you want to ride 70+
I bet you can jump off from 50Mph running wheel and landed on your feet with a smile since that speed is a "toys" for you.
@@KhairulKlang you can tell this guy doesn't ride lol. Even like 30mph on a one wheeled device held between your legs isn't "fun," it's like nothing you've ever experienced before. If you're hitting 50, that's not a toy that's a way of life for you hahah
