  • 6.4 Powerstroke Blown Out PCV Hose Repair
In this video I have a F250 6.4 Powerstroke with a concern of oil leaks, Transmission leaking along with Differential leaking. Turns out it was actually only oil leaking from the PCV hose and valve cover gaskets. In this video I will show you how to replace this PCV hose assembly, the oil separator and valve cover gaskets. Let's get going on this repair.

This is great information. Thank you. Today's real-time is April 2024. My 6.4 is an 08 F 350 SD single rear wheel. With 136K miles. Deleted as soon as the warranty was up. Say what you want about deletes. The government emission control system is a failed science project that if left in place will result in early catastrophic engine failure and unnecessary expensive repairs. Since the deletes the overall performance has improved greatly MPG has improved by 1/3. Had to change out a new stock air filter. For an after-market box and filter. I was getting a replace air filter warning on the dash every time I would pull a load up a hill or pass slower traffic. I would have to reset the airflow sensor on the air inlet tube. That is how restrictive the stock air filter is. Let's talk about blow-by. Losen the oil filler cap but hold on to it. It might just blow out of your fingers. This might be due to the ring gap on the back two positions being set so far apart to allow for the extreme heat generated in the regen process. Allowing excessive fuel and pressure to bypass the rings and enter the crankcase and the fuel to mix with the crankcase oil. I have just recently installed a DYI catch can. The can is larger than most. It runs 1" tubing to both the inlet and exit ports. It has excessive baffling and forces the air, vapors and oil carried to have to fill the entire can with vapors before exiting. The can is 4"X7" with 3 SS scrubbing pads stacked top to bottom nice to have come across your video ❤️👍😊

Thank you and I appreciate the info. Have not heard that about the rear piston rings. Thanks for watching. I have never worked on performance diesels or deleted ones because of California laws.

I really have no idea how much parts or break down of labor was because well first I do not see dollar amounts and also because I did multiple jobs all combined into one big job. If you message me on Instagram I can try to help you out if you need help. Thanks for watching.

Omg it was such a pain in the butt because I spent so much time cleaning it up and running it and it would not leak until I went and drove it then there was oil everywhere. Lol ended up being a big job with quite a bit of hours. Thanks for watching

My 2010 has this exact leak right now. Is it possible to replace only the blown elbow and not the entire hose?
