Can those of us who lived through the actual pain of the vinyl years (clicks, pops , hisses, WOW & flutter, warping, discwashers, cartridge replacements, etc.) in the 70s get this on CD?

Pain? I much, much prefer vinyl, despite the obvious defects of the technology. It just sounds better.

Ahh... what I called Breakfast records back in the day... For all that Snap, Crackel and Pop. Been there done that. The only LP's I kept from my collection are just a few that meant a lot to me personally. Give me a stack of CD's and my 200 CD disc changer. The sound difference between LP's and CD's can be summed up by room acoustics, type and age of the speakers, amps, turntable, cd player, the wires you use and the shape of your ears, ear canals and your ear drums, your age, your brain and your mental attitude. I hated clicks and pops when I was 12 listening to records and I hate clicks and pops at 61. Funny how some things never change.

No, it's not. Digital tech is almost always compressed and distorted. Very, very different from vinyl recordings.

as a mastering engineer I much prefer digital that is mastered properly and played back on proper equipment, the quality also does not degrade with each play and it is far more portable ;)

The 1976 Calderone show in Long Island was July 3, not July 13. I know. I was there. And it was the July 4th, 1976 (Bicentennial Weekend), and we expected so much traffic we left hours before the concert time. And got there hours before. Lots of folks simply stayed away, thinking the traffic would be awful. The show was largely sold out, I will say, but the main traffic for that July 4th weekend was simply not there. :)

Wished there was a CD release or a FLAC download of this set. I'd love to at least have the 1980 show from Atlanta. Not a lot of live Civilian out there.

Oh crikey, GG are an all time favourite band and I've probably got everything including the big box set and I should be going "wow!" but I'm just going "crikey, how many hundreds this time?", afraid I'm saying no to this, much as it hurts...

Do you have any complete live recordings from 1971-1973 when Phil Shulman was in the band?

The link does not seem to work. I do not get a pre-order page but a selection of music services and when I select one I get this trailer again.

The one site said $449, I would much rather get it cheaper on CD
