I don’t collect watches for the sake of collecting either. I have as of now 3-4 more on my “list”, and at that point I may very well sit back and just enjoy what I have, like I’ve done with a few other interests over the years. Maybe interest instead of hobby is a better term now that I think through it lol. Anyways, I too wore my datejust today (it’s kind of become a watch that represents the weekend and leisure time to me), and yesterday I let my AD know I’m interested in a 124060. I think it’s the classic sub and like you said, I already have a cyclops on the DJ which is the original cyclops watch anyways. We’ll see how long it takes for the sub…I bought my BB58 and DJ from that AD so I have “some history”, and I’ll most likely be picking up a Grand Seiko from them at some point too. I also agree with the RUclips comments, that’s like most of the big channels for any topic; they have an audience and tend to all follow the same trends, albeit with a different spin. I really only look at those channels for the HD watch footage lol. It’s refreshing to see someone who’s making a channel out of an interest and not a career. I can tell your channel is growing based on the question volume! Congrats, keep it up, and have a nice weekend!

Hi Tony, I went to a Patek AD recently and found that the day and dates are not perfectly in-line with the windows. I realised it is not what I expect from a holy trinity and believe it's quite a big QC issue. What do you think of this flaw and Would you buy a Patek? I definitely wont be getting a over priced Patek

I wear a t-shirt daily and was always rocking DJ 41 Wimbledon fluted/oyster before the root beer. Not sure why these watches are labeled dress and sport by the AD’s or “influencers” they literally can be dressed down or up. It’s up to the wearer. From all your videos looks like we are in agreement!

The date just is hard to read because AR coating is non existent. I had this problem with my blue motif dial…watch looked incredible outside in the sun but indoors, nope could barely read it and it looked black but with no contrast. That’s my take anyways
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony yes white def is legible on all models. Does the OP have AR coating or no? My SD43 And root beer with black dials are super legible so that’s why I chalked it up to lack of AR coating.
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony interesting. I don’t think the DJ crystal does but only the cyclops. I think almost all other Rolex’s have it on the crystal. Precarious choice if that’s the case. I’ll do some digging to see. I have a few watches with no AR coating and I’m constantly tilting them in all directions to get the best view of the dial so that’s what I chalked my DJ41 motif up to. I ended up selling it because I just couldn’t read the darn thing.

I bought the Swatch because I was a teenager in the 80s, and it brought memories from the Swatch watches I owned, and paid for, with money earned from my part time job at the mall. Brought back memories and I’ve always been fascinated by the first moon landing. I think it’s a good thing young people are getting into watches because of Swatch and TAG
