      Nice..
I was wondering how the supported surfaces look after removing the supports..?
They frequently don’t look that great..

Great video... but you did not show how the model looks without the supports :(

They looked too good to remove!
Great point though, and I'll remove them and show the results next time!

how hard was to clean all supports. Printing can be done with anything but cleanup is the other question.

Now we just need to integrate a RepBox and a CR-30 and we'll be all set!

Really interesting project! I should really bump ChatGPT up on my to-do list. I'm comfortable editing code, but having it make a starting point for me would be incredible. Nice work!

You should! It makes a great co-pilot, and I think having it generate a rough draft of a project is a great use of the technology!

i guess it depends on the desired outcomes what you will get. my current estimate of bot is lower than ever after having used it.
this stuff is good and all, but people are forgetting... it doesnt analyse, think, comprehend. it just strings words together. that is its primary function.
maybe i got too specific, asking it for assembly language with device specific code. it randomly assigns pins. it changes format every new attempt. headers and layout. rather strange, that bit. it misses vast swarthes of initialisation. it cant perform the basic ISR setups. really neat watching it write code so fast, but knowing even as little as i did i knew there was no point attempting to use any of it. i can see it maybe helping here or there, things i didnt think of... otherwise, its pointless. irritating, actually. i had to lead it step by step all the way.
so far im seeing all these guys using it with c, python, etc... they dont really know how that then relates to a compiler, or the device they happen to run that code on... so i bypassed that step... and i can see that some things it gets right, the syntax. the punctuation. but most things... its just random. it isnt its designed purpose.
its only goal is to deliver a comprehensible reply, rather than a reply that means anything. the difference may seem subtle... to me its a chasm.
i asked it to recite the first line of a wiki article to me, and it blatantly made something up.
i tried some basic maths, volumes of a cylinder and piston, on a crank. volumes with the crank at varying angles. all straightforward. it gave me about twenty different answers, yet seemed to still follow the exact same reasoning each time with the same equations.
great social experiment. everyone signing up, and giving it a sample of their thought process. the way they string words together, use language. it even knows that you used an old password...
it doesnt think... but the people who wrote it sure do! and someone is paying them for their time... why?
meh. dont think i will be bothering with it again. its too much like playing with ones self. its very predictable, its very limited. i felt that i was teaching it. and i am...

i am confused why you had to use a script to rotate the models? every slicer i have used has that function built in... its probably my most used feature, really, making things fit.
