Great tips here. Thanks for the transparency. I'd like more content creator type videos like you suggested for this small level overland creator space. While I love the big channels, it can be intimidating when their film kit costs more than my camping gear, minus the truck lol.
Great channel, great advice. I would like to see more information on getting sponsors. Also I would like to see a walk around of the truck with the current upgrades/mods.
Wow, you and I should sit down and share a couple beers. You had the courage to say out loud in this video what I have kept to myself when it comes to the negative part of this content creation world. Your tips are wise and pointed. Well put. I would like to see more content personally, not just from you, but all overlanders, on how they chose their action shots while traveling. How many times do you double back on a trail, just to get a shot you did not know was coming type thing? My channel has been surprisingly successful for what it was meant to be, but making adventure videos has been my passion for decades. Never was able to gain a following though as far as my overlanding trips, (different channel), and I am not sure if it is based on content, camera angles, music choice or my personality? LMAO.... either way, I just found your video tonight, so I will subscribe to keep an eye on your progress. Congrats on the 3k sub mark, believe me, you will be jumping for joy when you hit 10k before the year is out!
Hey thanks I really appreciate that 🙏 I'll definitely check out your channel too. This whole content creation thing is an adventure in itself. I plan on making some videos about the points you mentioned too. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for making this. Some really good points. I also just started a youtube channel. I'm doing it because it's fun for me buuuuut I am super critical on my editing and talking. Thanks, you earned a new sub!
Awesome video and thanks for the insights from the “other side.” Point #2 is a great point. Starting is where I’m at. I feel like I want to do it, but is it what I “want” to do? I love what I do and I want to share it, but trying to figure out the details and the “why’s” I’m excited to see more of your process in filming. Planning and prepping. The idea behind your approach. Also, you got a sub, brother 👍🏼
Hey thats great. I appreciate the positivity🙏 If i could recommend anything more itd be to understand that there's no wrong way to do it and you can totally take your time.
I knew someone would say that😂 altho in all fairness, i watched this video again and thought I might have ACTUALLY taken a while to get to the point🤦♂️
Great video! Thank you for sharing your experiences and advice and congrats on reaching the 3000 subscriber milestone! New subscriber & looking forward to catching up on your other content!
Oh yeah, so to your question, don't know if it will be a good video idea but: I will be super interested in finding out how your process looks, how do you plan, how much shots do you take for a single scene, do you keep your footage on the devices and then dump it on the computer, or do you file it away during the trip to keep it organized. I would be super interested in those aspects. Camera angels also yes for sure.
Love all of these questions. I'll see if I can incorporate these answers in a future video. I'm also releasing a video in a few days related to this topic so I think you'll like it🫡
I started posting overland type videos back in November. I underestimated how challenging it could be. I constantly compare myself to related channels that started around same time and I feel like my channel isn't performing as well as I envisioned
I totally get that. I think the reason why I enjoyed my first cross country experience so much is because I wasn't filming it. But i also enjoy filming too, so I figured why not combine the two lol

Lmao yes exactly! Thats how i feel too. Thanks for commenting!
Great channel, great advice. I would like to see more information on getting sponsors. Also I would like to see a walk around of the truck with the current upgrades/mods.
Thanks for watching! And I actually hope to film a build update soon. Im just waiting to swap out one big piece of equipment 🤫 lol
I'm contemplating starting a RUclips channel for my FJ and adventures. Thanks for the insights and good luck.
I hope some of this info helped! Ill watch out for content on the FJ👍
Great little video, thanks bro from across the pond 👊👊
Thanks for watching! 🫡
Yes please to more videos in getting started on RUclips. Ie working with companies, cameras and equipment, sponsorship etc. thanks for a great video.
Glad to see the interest in this topic. Watch out for more to come!
I weighed starting a channel for almost 3 years before I finally did… wish I would’ve actually started the first time it sounded like a good idea

New sub here!
The topics you've pointed out at the end of your video would make a great ''Part 2''!
Keep up the good work!
Thanks a bunch! I whole heartedly appreciate that
Great points. As a small start up channel, this resonates with me a lot.
Awesome video and thanks for the insights from the “other side.”

Bro, almost took you three minutes to get to the point...... hahahah.... I'm just messing! Great video man, keep up the good work.

Great advice and video, I’ve been thinking of starting a channel with my ZR2 Bison so any tips would be highly appreciated
Based on the response from this video I feel confident about making more like it. Content on the Bison should be awesome. I say go for it👍
Great video! Thank you for sharing your experiences and advice and congrats on reaching the 3000 subscriber milestone! New subscriber & looking forward to catching up on your other content!
Thanks a lot! That means a lot 🙏 much appreciated

Congrats on 3k bro, your advice was great and I’d love too see your take on camera angles or your editing process
I might do a screen recording of my editing process, but I gotta cleanup my files on my desktop first 😅

Lol I have the exact phone, also using it for my channel, works great 😂
Great video. It’s very informative. I need to restart my channel. I use GoPro cameras and my iPhone for my videos.
I guess I don't get enough traffic. I engage the negative comments. LOL! It doesn't hurt my feelings and trolls generate traffic.
Haha exactly. Sometimes its like getting paid to be insulted 😅
Well.. you get paid. I get insulted for free.
Don't film your adventures, just enjoy them. Memories are better than sponsors.
I totally get that. I think the reason why I enjoyed my first cross country experience so much is because I wasn't filming it. But i also enjoy filming too, so I figured why not combine the two lol
I'm lucky, my name says I'm angry so naturally they already know I'm an asshole. so I am not kind lmfao
Good points though, I hate the editing process , I shoot video and start editing and then get frustrated and delete the footage :(
