Am I going to be the only one to say he picked the most complicated way to make a grilled cheese. “here’s the blowtorch”. And putting one half in then the cheeses torch then add the second half and flip. Seems counterintuitive since if you just put the cheese between the slices the top sclice holds in the heat before the bottom is grilled and you don’t need the torch. Benefit of the doubt flip it twice for extra melt…

Yeah, that is a good thing because I swear Nico handled the raw meat then immediately touched every surface and raw vegetable.
It made me happy seeing him actually make the omelet , and I hope in the future he makes himself omelets and realizes how easy it can be and not spend $30 on omelets

He was on a few "Daily Driven Exotics" vlogs a couple months back. Damon scared the crap out of him in the lambo and the faces he makes are priceless 🤣 You can see the regret, the fear, and then his whole life flash in his eyes as he squeals like a kid on a roller-coaster 🤣

This was hilarious, but honestly? Nico's "zero f*cks given" style of cooking is a great way to learn quickly. Allow yourself to make mistakes people! It's part of the journey!
It's a great way to learn how to get food poisoning. I swear the idiot handled raw meat then immediate went about touching every other thing in his station. I'm surprised Josh doesn't have a follow up video with a title like "Nico sent me to the hospital with food poisoning" or "Nico tried to kill me."
When Josh is explaining how to take the omelette out of the pan, and Nico is like “finished!!” 😂😂

But he really keeping up with Josh while never having cooked is pretty good. That "omelette" was actually quite well done.
That aside, it was hilarious to watch and i would love to see a video of Josh teaching Nico a recipe step by step and helping him cook something, cause the chemistry between you two was amazing :D

In all fairness I had to call my mom about how to hard boiled eggs… When I moved to Utah I couldn’t figure out why my hard-boiled eggs kept failing. Turns out you have to hard-boiled eggs differently when you move into the mountains

My brouther called my mom to ask what chicken looked like when it was raw... don't feel too bad. And yeah in the mountains you are in the inverse of a pressure cooker so it takes longer.

Nico’s mixture of Dutch and Irish give off a really convincing Northern Irish accent. If you told me that he was from Belfast I would not bat an eyelid
By far the FUNNIEST cooking challenge by far! Nico definitely gained another subscriber just from this.
Nico really did his best and his food turned out ok (except for the grilled cheese) appreciate how good natured he was even when struggling/ dealing with something he's very new to. Great effort imo he got 2 out of 3 dishes.
We need another video like this i amaze myself when I cook sometimes and this is so inspiring for people to just cook even if you are a beginner

He isn’t ever going to do a ‘but faster’ - all he ever does is talk about how important it is to TAKE THE TIME to make everything from scratch - like that’s his whole brand. Read his book. Listen to, literally, anything he actually says. He’s not the ‘quick home chef’ kinda content creator. Try Chlebowski or Ragusea.

Has been asked before and is still pointless.
Theoretically every recipe should be just as fast at home - except that restaurants can and will start things like stocks, sauces, their mise en place and often times stews and the like way in advance. So you won't beat them since they already started cooking yesterday and did their prep work in the morning.
I also don't see the point of trying to be faster than a restaurant. You are paying for their optimised workflow and might only beat them by compromising on taste.

I'll second the message that everyone can cook! Obviously it takes a lifetime to be as polished and knowledgeable as Josh, but even just a little bit of effort and watching a couple of tutorial videos can let anyone crank out some very tasty foods! it's really not as hard as it looks to learn basic techniques and you save a TON of money cooking for yourself!
Not to mention you fill your house with THE BEST smells!
