    It makes a great bow for hunting with the right hands.

    Osage Osage/ hedge tree. Originally planted for fence posts, also used for airtight wood stoves. It has 38 million BTU,S OU HEAT IN A CORD OF WOOD were as oak only has 20 million BYU, S .

    Osage orange, horse apple, hedge apple etc. fence posts in the past, I use it for wood mallets, chisel handles, handmade bows, bowls knife handles, cutting boards, however it’s mostly sought after by bow makers.

    Probably hedge, but could also be persimmon or mulberry. Fantastically hard, dense woods that resist wear, and can be used outdoor with virtually no decay.
    All yellow wood is good wood!

    Osage orange. Used for natural fencing and I think it was used to make a bow and arrows as well.

      Bows. Not the arrows. Utilized by the Osage Indian nations of the Great PLains, U.S.
      Often, the staves were heated next to the fire for strength and rigidity.

      Скорее всего остальное это ради красоты . А про голову вы правильно говорите . Если одну и ту же книгу (одна в красивом переплёте) ну а (другая в самом простом переплёте) то люди будут стараться покупать в красивом переплёте (если деньги позволят и их не жалко) ну в случаях покупки книги в качестве подарка то это однозначно будет красивый переплёт. Ну и конечно же с ручкой то же самое .

    Also called a hedge tree.
    My dad told me that some guy when he was a kid. Late 30’s early 40’s. Built a fiddle out of that wood. Don't know what it sounded like. But it must have been beautiful.! Big green knobby fruit. About the size of grapefruit.Seed pods. Don't know if there are good for anything but keeping crickets out of the cellar. The wood burns very hot. And will spark like crazy if it gets in front of the draft of a wood stove. You don't want to overload it. Ash is a really fine powder like salt. Used to be used for wagon wheels and frame parts. Extremely hard wood. But useful.

    It’s Osage. Native Americans used it for bows tomahawk handles and war clubs it also makes great turkey pot call bodies and waterfowl call bodies

    My first thought was red mulberry but the bright yellow looks more like osage orange. I'm going with.
    Can we get a video or a description of what 'white mulberry' sapwood looks like. Haven't seen much of it here in the midwest since the late sixties. At one time there were loads of white mulberry. What gives?
