I just had a miscarriage yesterday. Still dealing with the effects of abdominal pain and bleeding. I have never been in so much pain, i imagin that is what contractions feel like. This was my first pregnancy and I was 1 day away from 8 weeks. My husband and I hope to try again with giving it time. We both are taking it pretty hard.

I’m so lost and confused in my case. My HCG continues to rise, scans show nothing. I also have bleeding but it’s been going on now for 8 days. I don’t know what to think. Why is HCG rising but we can’t see anything in scan? When I started bleeding HCG was 1025, second test was 1276, third test was 1726 and now I am at 4411. How? If I was told I had a failed pregnancy was is HCG rising?

I’m terrified of pregnancy. I had a stillbirth at 28 weeks last year and just had a miscarriage at 9 weeks last week. Both times I found out during an ultrasound- excited to see my baby. I was blindsided and was emotionally devastated each time. I still struggle with seeing period blood, avoid my friends baby showers and struggle interacting with pregnant women and/or babies. I’ve come a long way with my partner and through journaling and counselling. Despite all this, I will never stop trying to get pregnant. Life is too short to live in fear of what could happen. It’s been over 3 years since we started trying to conceive, but I still have a lot of strength because these pregnancies happened. Wishing you all healthy pregnancies and please don’t lose sight of the idea you’ll be holding your baby one day.

However, even if it happened to every single women, it doesn't make it any less devastating or sad. I think it's nice to acknowledge that part of it.

My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 8 weeks on Mothers Day this year. I am 33 years old It was a blighted ovum and the gestational sac grew up to 6 weeks. My body missed the miscarriage and did not recognize it until weeks after we noted the miscarriage may be occuring. The sac passed naturally.
It was absolutely long and devastating and it makes you feel like something is wrong with your body. Particularly a missed miscarriage makes you feel like you can't even trust your body. The trauma from miscarriage followed me every moment I went to the bathroom, and the PTSD triggered uncontrollable tears anytime I remotely saw an ultrasound on TV.
Nothing is your fault. More often than nor, there is nothing you did wrong and nothing you could've done to prevent it from occurring.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel. We waited for my first period and when emotional ready, we started right away. The following month after miscarrying I am now pregnant with my Rainbow. We saw him on the ultrasound and he has a strong heartbeat and measuring on time. Please keep the faith ladies. Things do not always happen on our time, but it can occur. Keeping all you future and current moms on my thoughts and prayers.❤

I was so excited that for a week, I got 7 positive tests, last test being taken the Friday before I went to the ER the following Monday because I was afraid I was miscarrying. Unfortunately I have heard many stories from friends with ER doctors really not showing compassion for miscarriages. It is really sad and horrible to not only hear that you lost your baby, but not having even a little sympathy from the healthcare worker in this terrible time makes it 1000× worse.
I was so very lucky, and I know that sounds so strange when it comes to miscarriage, but I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks and found out at the ultrasound and the ENTIRE staff was so compassionate and understanding while I quite literally felt like I was falling into pieces. Looking back I could not have found out such a terrible thing in a more caring place and that REALLY helped with the healing process afterward. I wish more people especially healthcare providers could be even half that compassionate with delicate matters like loss no matter the weeks. ❤

Thank you thank you for talking about this and for being so empathetic while doing so. I find a lot of providers will tell you the statistics and tell you not to worry about it and brush it off as unlikely. It would have meant so much to me to have this approach to that conversation before my husband and I started trying to conceive. We’re both under 30 and healthy and we got pregnant on the second try, but unfortunately had a miscarriage at 4 weeks and 6 days and I was absolutely devastated. Two months later and I just got my BFP! I’m only 4 weeks, and hoping it sticks this time. This video was so comforting. I appreciate you!

We saw ultrasound heartbeat at 8? weeks. We had just announced our first (finally!) at 11 weeks. We had to explain miscarriage at 12 weeks. It IS heartbreaking, and we are still in the shock phase, as it's been less than a week. I advise everyone, if possible, Get a Genetic Screen. It may not influence any decisions, but you might get an answer on _WHY_ you lost your child. We wouldn't know WHY our child passed, or boy or girl, except the test came back only a couple hours before I took my wife to the ER just after it started.
The ER docs were able to tell us we had lost a girl to Turner's/monosomy-X.
Now we at least could give a name to the baby we'll never see. 😭😭😭 Without a genetic test, we'd still be wondering what WE did wrong, rather than being told 'there was nothing you could have done.' Maybe we'll stop blaming ourselves at some point. We're still sobbing.
Sorry, Bjorkmans, had to unsubscribe. I was loving your vids, now they're too painful to watch. I hope to return, but I don't know when.

Have barely started this video and felt like I had to leave a comment already. Here I am, at the end of a second consecutive miscarriage (9 weeks pregnant, seems like it was a missed miscarriage since the baby was too small for how far along I was and no heartbeat) and am devastated. Since the beginning of my pregnancy I felt I was left in the dark by the doctors I've seen and it is a horrible feeling. I also wish my miscarriage was better explained to me. I'm determined to find a doctor that will take my concerns seriously and will help me (as much as possible, of course) have a healthy pregnancy.
Thank you for your content. It is truly helpful to us all! 💜

I recently had a miscarriage at 8+2 and I did end up seeing my baby. It might be uncommon but I really wish I had been told that it could happen because standing in the bathroom with my dead baby in my hand was not a situation I was prepared for. I'm sure the experience would have been less traumatic if my doctors had just told me it could happen and also options on what to do with it.

We are still trying to get pregnant again now but having trouble. It took us awhile to get pregnant before that it’s hard to have to start all over again. Thank you for your video, wish I saw it sooner. I have shared my experience to spread awareness to others. My 2 week follow up is today so I have a prepared list of items to discuss with him- still a bit scared that it may happen again as I am 42, but I know that I should just remain calm & not worry myself unnecessarily. I will say that I wasn’t prepared for the confusing emotions I’ve been experiencing, but I’m just trying to ride the waves as they come. Thank you for talking about this, it was hard to watch and I did have some tears but not due to being triggered by what you said but because of the compassion you both have. I had a miscarriage and then 9 months later I was pregnant again, it was hard because me and 2 of my sisters were pregnant at the same time and I miscarried and they didn’t but they had so much compassion towards me and my mother didn’t talk about their pregnancies because she didn’t know how it would make me feel because I was devastated and she didn’t want to add to the pain I was already going through but I told my mom of course I wanted to hear about how my sisters are doing I may have miscarried but I wouldn’t blame them for having healthy babies(which they both did I now got a niece and nephew) and I wanted to know all about it and pray daily that they don’t have to go through the pain of miscarriage. My mom was surprised when she heard my rant but understood that being the oldest out of the 3 of us I was worried about my sisters and decided to keep me updated on how they were doing since she talked to them more then I did and I was great full to her for that and also let her know I was great full for her thinking about me and my feelings. My heart goes out to any who have miscarried it’s a devastating process and painful in more then one way. ❤

One at 11 1/2 weeks that nearly killed me, I almost bled to death after using medication at home to pass baby, and 2 chemical pregnancies. Currently 5 weeks 2 days pregnant and terrified. I’ve had 6 children. I am getting up there in age. I turned 40 earlier this year. I feel as though my body is failing me all of a sudden. I know I am beyond blessed to have 6 amazing children. I always dreamed of having 10 kids. I am certain I won’t have 10 kids now, but was hoping for one more. It’s very heartbreaking to experience so much loss especially when I know the joy of a healthy problem free pregnancy! When I found out I was pregnant I was shocked because we had been trying months before but had stopped trying since I thought maybe I was unable to have children. So, when we did get pregnant it was unexpected. My blood pressure was high before apparently, so at my first appointment it stood at 186/112, and over different doctor's appointments, even after changing my diet and continuing to exercise it went to about 165/101 consistently. I started spotting on Tuesday, up until Sunday morning at 4 a.m., where I saw alot of blood and tissue. I am hurt, angry and sad and pretty much afraid this is it. I experienced a term stillbirth (39+1 weeks) with my firstborn/daughter three weeks ago with some debate whether it was because of the true knot found. It's been hard to find videos like this one that are medical without being too jargony. It truly rocked my world. Everyone talks about waiting to announce, which I did, but yet don't truly understand that there really is no "safe zone," that pregnancy loss can happen at any time, sadly. I don't want mothers/birthing people to be as blind-sided as I was.

Just to note its best to call your OB if you suspect a miscarriage anyway because they can do blood tests to see if hcg is low and if you have a negative blood type an Anti D shot may be necessary to prevent a future baby from rhesus syndrome. So I would call my doctor anyway, even if they can’t stop the loss.

I just had my first miscarriage. It was emotional devastating. I am sorry for anyway going through now, or how have been through it in the past. Just a few things I wasn't prepared for. I didn't realize how long it could take. I had an ultrasound and confirmed heartbeat and baby was 7 weeks, the next week I started bleeding and confirmed baby no longer had a heartbeat with ultrasound. Bleeding started on a Wednesday, the next Wednesday I was in the ER for heavy bleeding that caused me to pass out. I thought that day was the day I would have lost the baby, but that didn't happen until Sunday. I was not at all prepared for what that would look like, because my doctor also said it would be rare for me to see much but head, eyes, body, arms, and legs were clearly visible and a shock I wasn't emotionally ready for. Also, it has been almost 6 weeks and still have a positive home pregnancy test. I guess I just thought it would be over by now. After all the emotions, and bleeding for 3 weeks, I am learning that it is normal to feel a little physically run down after. I wish more people talked about some of the more uncomfortable truths because what you go through is awful enough, you shouldn't have to feel alone on top of everything.

Thank you for your videos, especially for tackling topics like this too. Every time I hear someone's pregnancy loss story, I hurt for them, and feel a tremendous amount of respect and gratitude toward them. Because of information and stories courageously shared, I feel I can go into TTC with eyes open. Nothing fully prepares you for grief, but I feel more prepared and supported in advance if it does happen. My husband and I are finally really trying (after 6.5 years of marriage), and I'll know next week if this cycle was successful. Again, I'm grateful for all your videos, including this one.

Less than %2? Man, I hope so. I had a loss last year and I am pregnant again (4wks). I have not even let myself smile about this one yet. I am really just waiting for bad news again.
I cried every day for 5 months after my loss at 11wks in September.

I had a miscarriage in 2019, missed abortion, I had to take 7 blood tests due to my hcg going up and down up and down. Then after I went through that. I have had several early miscarriages. Chemical ones. It’s very upsetting seeing a positive because I became aware of the signs just for it to fade later on. Praying for a rainbow baby 🙏

Hi doctors, just found your channel and find it very informational and comforting. I’m on my 2nd pregnancy a year after my 1st which was a missed miscarriage. Blood work showed a hormone (not sure which one) was low and doctor I had explained that could be it. Is that something can happen again and should I be worried about it for my 2nd pregnancy?
