I had an embryonic pregnancy, was 12wks at my 1st scan when i found out and had to take the pills, i took the pills yesterday,it was the worst pain ive ever had worse than labour, least with labour u get pain relief, paracetamol did nothing, ibuprofen i couldn't have as i didn't want to eat, the pain was horrific, i wouldn't want my worst enemy to go through that,no woman should, crying so much because of the pain

Fantastic video as always! So much detail--I wish my OBGYN and NP had been more specific about what to expect. I was told "Call when you start bleeding." :( And then my calls weren't returned. Miscarriage might be common, but it would be appreciated if care providers acted with more compassion and with thorough education! I also wish care providers included education on what to expect in terms of passing the sac, embryo, tissue, etc. Also with a SCH diagnosis, a recent care provider said to me, "If a miscarriage is going to happen, it's going to happen." Sure, true, but not comforting for someone who's experienced an early loss in the past.

I just turned 40 and had a natural miscarriage 4 days ago (1st pregnancy) at 7w6d after 5 months of trying 🥺 my ultrasound at 8w2d confirmed as the uterus was empty. Is it possible that i could have an ectopic pregnancy? Can a dating scan detect this type of ptegnancy? I had bad cramps and bleeding when miscarried and bleeding has almost stopped now so i am thinking it is not ecotopic pregnancy. I hope to conceive and have a healthy baby soon 🙏 any medications or vitamins you can suggest to help with my next pregnancy? I took prenatals when i found out i was pregnant starting at week 4. When can i try to conceive again? I see my OBGYN Dec 21 which would have been my week 22 appt and hoping to get more guidance for next steps then.

Thank you Marta for this incredible information. I have a feeling that I have had a misdiagnosis on last ultrasound.
1st ultrasound at 8w1d. 2nd (due to spotting and slight cramps) indicate no cardiac activity and no development past 8w1d. I feel fine and my body is not sounding any alarms. Dr immediately ordered D&C. No options provided. I just decided that I have option to wait and re-test. Im somehow hopeful and believe all is ok. I will re-test in a week or so.

My first ultrasound was yesterday I was supposed to be 10 weeks but was measuring at 5w5d they’ll see me again 2 weeks from yesterday if I don’t miscarry by then and see if I just got my dates wrong and if there might be growth… I was tracking everything because I needed letrozole to get pregnant in the first place. I have no hope but thank you for this video because at least I kind of know what to expect now

Thanks so much for this video. Are you able to share any information about recovering after a miscarriage with tips on how to go about building ones body back to good health (with exercise etc) safely and talk a bit on the replenishing of the uterine lining? I had two D&C procedures a few days a part and am currently going by how my body feels day by day
. I don’t know sometimes if I’m doing too much too soon or whether certain a discomfort is a good sign for getting stronger (like during or after a gym workout for example). I also have endometriosis and wonder how best to navigate healing around this as well - not just with contraception but with other life hacks

I was told 3-5 hours of heavy bleeding where u fill a large pad per 45mins-1 hour was normal. I bled for 5 hours with painful contraction type cramps every few mins for about 3 hours before it eased off pretty quickly. Then lighter bleeding for about 5 days easing off over a few weeks to spotting.

Thank you for this video! It explaned a lot. I have a missed miscarriage and I am waiting for my body to expel the pregnancy. The problem is that even though I have discussed with my gynaecologist and we agreed that I would wait a couple of weeks I have been having a lot of pressure from my mother and mother in law and also from a friend to have a D&C.. They all think that the baby will immediately rot inside of me if I don't get rid of it and they have been really stressing me out. As if going through a miscarriage is not bad enough I have to deal with that also. This video helped me a lot... Is there a possibility that you will get an infection due to the embryo when you are doing expectant management? Why do some doctors recommend a D&C immediately after a missed miscarriage is diagnosed? I hope you see my questions 🤞🤞🤞

@@ChangedUpNowWhat its when the baby/embryo dies but it just takes time for your body to recognise that the pregnancy has ended and doesn't start to happen straight away. I think its pretty common. Takes time for hormones to drop. Sometimes u only know when u have a early scan and baby has no heatbeat. Its the natural way. A D&C is just a medical way of getting it done when its convenient.

I just had my first miscarriage this would be my second pregnancy. I felt like I was in labor maybe even worse. When I was in labor with my first son it didn’t feel this painful. I ended up going to the ER and began to bleed significantly. I was changed I to a gown and was soaking through the bed liners and the gown and the two blankets they gave me. I was also not guided as to what is normal or what I should be expecting from a miscarriage. When I was in labor with my first son I was guided and told what I would be feeling and what is normal and I felt safe. With my miscarriage I had a few panic attacks because I was so scared I thought and felt like I was dying. My nurses hardly checked on me. They only offered me water once. And they helped me change twice and I was changing myself the rest of the time. There was so much blood all the way to my knees and soaked through everything through the night. I noticed the heavy bleeding subsided the next morning. I believe I passed the sac with the fetus, but the nurses couldn’t confirm. A few hours later I passed the placenta. The bleeding subsided significantly. I asked for all the blood tests results and was never given an answer. They kept checking my blood count because of the heavy bleeding. Eventually they sent me home. I am scheduled for a dnc today. I’m scared, but your video helped me a lot I wish I would have searched this before.
