The “man she’s really ugly” comment was SO GOOD to hear. Newborns are so odd looking when they first come out and it made me feel soooo much better about having the same thought! I’ve never heard anyone else say that about their baby but I swear we all have to think it for the first few minutes. 😂

@@chantalwood5788 girl you think whatever you want about your baby you’ve carried him. They come out looking crazy 😂 I am 38 or 39 weeks (due dates off) and had a 3D ultrasound today, his face was all squished together, I know that’s not what he’s gonna look like in a couple months after birth lol. And this is my miracle baby after a loss. Us mommas can think what we want, they’re gonna be precious after they come out and have been in the world for a minute. But if you’ve already had him I hope your birth went smooth and everything went good ❤️❤️

poi: you are a PHYSICIAN unless you have a PhD, hun. saying you're a "doctor" is like saying your a "miss". that's a title, not an occupation. and unless you have an actual *doctorate*, as in graduate ed, then you are not "dr" anybody. check out 'rockefeller medicine' to learn how all this came about.

Just hearing that an OB/GYN elected for the epidural puts me at ease. I’ve been hellbent on doing this without meds and beating myself up for wanting the epidural as an option. You’ve completely lifted that nonsensical worry of mine! Also- hearing that a woman who happens to be an MD also has struggles breastfeeding. My last baby (10 years ago) was bf but I struggled and then got discouraged and switched to formula quickly. I thought I was the only one struggling. Wish I had more support back then. it really helps when everyone in the room is close to each other. Everyone being friends. Friends being there for the delivery when most people can’t even have their friends in the room. There’s a pediatrician which helps when the father is the pediatrician. It helps when the mother Is a gynecologist cause she knows what she’s doing but still might need a reminder every once in a while because she’s the patient at the moment. I’m really impressed by this. Because normally this doesn’t happen were the friends sister and the husband and everyone can be in the room.

Would you please make a video about pushing? Watching you push was incredible. No fear, full of joy, and very effective. I’m expecting a baby now and I was so inspired by your pushing technique. Hope you can make a video on the subject.
Thanks for all your videos. I’ve learned a lot.

Welcome! I too am a FTM, and not gonna lie, the thought of giving birth crossed my mind at first and I was terrified. But yes, we’ve got people who’ve made videos like this that totally help. Get educated, read a few books. That’s what I’ve been doing, and you’ll be fine.

Wow. I’ve been watching these videos from you guys for a while now to prepare and I have to say the rawness of showing your delivery put me at so much ease. Like just seeing someone talk about and show us exactly what that moment looked like and felt like made this all seem less scary. I keep saying thank you but I honestly can’t thank you both enough for your channel. It’s just easing so much of my anxiety on my pregnancy journey. ❤

I loved labor and delivery in the early days of my career as an RN. The moment I met you two, the first thing I thought was what beautiful blue eyes you both have! And your daughter is going to be a little blue eyed doll! The last 18 years of my career I was an ob-gyn nurse practitioner and I looked forward to the 6 week post partum visit when ladies I had seen prenatally would bring the baby along. What a joy! I am subscribing to your channel at once.

I’ve had my 12th week scan, all looking great. We have battled with infertility for 8 years, had 4 miscarriages, 4 ivfs, lots of tests, medications.. I have pcos, also Endometriosis, immunological issues and blood clotting issues. This pregnancy came really unexpectedly as I started down regulation for 5th Ivf, 10 days later I found out I was pregnant.🥳 just two days before my 40th birthday. It feels still surreal. I am doing an immune monitoring & treatment and taking daily Aspirin and anticoagulant injections…

How beautiful! It’s hard to believe positive birth stories sometimes. It’s nice to see one! All of my friends who have had babies in the last few years have had awful experiences in hospitals. They were fully dialated and ready to go but had to wait 5+ hours for a doctor to come and ended in c-section and babies with skull fractures.
