Idk about the judges on this one. Ethan was surfing on a different speed here compared to liam as pete said Ethan puts the board on rail more than liam, while liam puts the board kinda flat. I think liam 8.60 is overscored
The judges probably read all the comments on previous videos where Ethan was accused of being over scored and decided to make up for it. I thought Ethan deserved the win on this one
Liam is a great surfer and fun to watch, but he didnt win this heat and that 8.6 was one of the biggest overscores ive seen in a long time. Liams lack of flow alone should have put it in the low 7s.
I’m going to disagree with the complainers on this one. Liam’s 8.6 was a fair bit better than Ethan’s good one. Ethan only had 2 good turns some transitional stuff and a little rev. Liam had 4 critical hits on a bigger wave then a similar rev…
Yah Liams 8.6 was underscored if anything. Wave was faster, had more critical sections, and he paced it pretty much perfectly. Ethan's surfing was better but his waves weren't.
