As soon as I saw the forecast and when JJ was surfing I was grinning from ear to ear, the man just comes to life when it's got some size. That's not to disrespect his small wave surfing, but he just goes off when it's got some balls.. like the other Hawaiians do too. It makes me laugh that some of the other competitors are trying desperately to copy Johns drawn out double carve, no one does it as good as John, he just has the right amount of leg bend and body torque to make it look original and awesome.

Yeah I have a big problem with the judging this year. It's ridiculous to think that by their criteria, that wave, was a 'good wave'. Those carves were beyond excellent, and are display of some of the best surfing we have seen all year.
@@lucaparolin5623 that's not necessarily true, they are all amazing in they're own right, they're styles are quite different, that's what makes it exciting when they are matched in competition, the judges are the problem, they're not consistent with the scoring from heat to heat, they should be able to read the conditions just like everyone else, and match the scores with the level of surfing in those conditions as they change, not with the overall daily conditions,

Narrabeen is a good beach break and picks up plenty of swell when it’s around. Comp happened to be on when surf Wasn’t big... so what. North Narrabeen is a Hollow, powerful wave when pumping. Wave pool? - Like seeing good surfing in all conditions.
