I just came to RUclips in search of all the things you talked about in your video. I signed up for my very first event today that will take place in September. I self published in Separate of last hear and have mostly sold to family and friends. It’s still a work in progress as it’s not been uploaded to Amazon yet. It’s a memoir. I’m going to need a lot of advice on setting up a table so will go see if you have any other videos available. Thanks 😊
You have some fantastic tips here! thank you so much for sharing. I would like to try more in person events next year so you've given me heaps to think about.
I have been trying to shard to find more events or vendor opportunities. I really need to up that game and prepare for spring. Not sure how much I want to be traveling through the winter. lol
I feel like these events end right before the holidays, then when it gets warm out all the crafty people who've been stored away all winter come out LOL
Hey Matt! Unfortunately the link is down, but this is the name of the item: JX FITNESS 8-Wheel Folding Shopping Cart. Hope that helps you find something similar!
I added your vid to the watch later because the audio quality with your car is too much for pasive listening. I will have to turn on CC and read your info. Please consider recording yourself inside with the camera pointed at you like you would giving a Zoom meeting/lecture. Thank you for your info and opinions on in-person author events. I am encouraging my wife to take the leap and publish her work. I will also look up your works too.
'Postcard mailing to local libraries' is intriguing to me, since when I approached my library, they said they don't do events where people pay money for books..... :( Would love to see a video on library outreach!
I just upgraded my phone and laptop and it's upsetting AAAAALLLLLL the apple carts with its minimalist USB-C only setup...the phone doesn't have an audio jack, so I know the 'what do i do for my square reader?!' question is lurking for now... 🙄
Interesting! I didn't check the compatibility of the free one. You could also post some QR codes for payment such as Venmo and Paypal, and there's always cash.
What elements of a vendor table draw your attention the most as a consumer?
