    Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance. It’s so important with any paint protection. The coating companies longevity claims are usually totally achievable if maintenance is done regularly as this video proves. I only agree to coat vehicles now if they get on my maintenance plan. Cheers!

      @EvolvedDetails  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I agree and have since realised coatings aren't for everyone as to get the best out of them you really need to maintain them.
      But when done they are incredible and well worth having on a car

      100 percent correct.
      A frequent pre-wash with Mafra Neve or Kenotek Foam or Nerta. Followed by Reset or Kenotek Brilliant Wash or Gyeon.
      Maintain the surface of the coating in order to maintain the properties.
      Every coating needs maintenance.
      I've recently tested the DIY Ceramic Gloss : I recommend it as a last step and drying aid, works on every surface.

    So rewarding to watch this coating come back like that after 3 years! I can't help but wash my car every week here in Florida in the US, it's habit from long before I put a ceramic coating on. I might be washing my coating off, lol. My car is my daily, garaged, and a topper is added every wash. I'm hoping for a solid 2 years. Great vid, really enjoyed this 🍻

    Very cool to see this coating go that long. I did a car with UK 3.0 over 4 years ago that is still doing well because it's kept in a garage for 90% of its life and only driven on weekends.

    I knew I should have got UK 3.0 lol. I did half my truck with CarPro SiC and half with Gyeon Pure EVO instead. Both look very good but I was not happy with the hydrophobics from either. I had to apply Jet as a topper to get respectable hydrophobics. I think I will start over and try Ethos Max or Ethos Pro.

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  10 дней назад

      UK is great for sure but I was planning in moving onto Pure next as when I tested it I was impressed.
      I thought the hydrophobics were right up there with UK

      @@EvolvedDetails I love Pure but Can Coat seemed more hydrophobic than Pure when I tried it. I did 2 layers of Pure on the passenger side and 1 layer on the driver side. The 2 layer side looks just a little more glossier but not much. I did 2 layers of SiC on the hood, top and tonneau cover. SiC has more of a cold mirror look. Pure was a warmer wet look which I prefer. NV Jet has fixed all my hydrophobic complaints.

    Thank you for the comprehensive tests, just discovered your channel! Great info - getting a new car soon, would you recommend the CQuartz Lite (~$100 + shipping locally) that you also tested or this UK3.0 ($256 imported)? The car will be my long term pride and joy.

    Good video. Tbh it's been well maintained. Here's an idea for a video. Before the coating is gone, you could test some sealants over the coating, like bead machine, bead king, can coat etc to see how/if they effect the coating. Although I guess you could do that on the test panel.

    • @EvolvedDetails

    Great information thank you! Did you happen to maintain with the “reload” every couple of months? I have applied 2 coats of CQ 3.0 and top coat with SIC. Wondering on how I should maintain it? On one car I top coated twice now with the CQ every year. It seems to be fine without having to strip off anything.

    • @Embrxceyourdemons

      I wouldn’t necessarily say they are a waste but with proper washing/maintenance they aren’t needed! There’s a guy named ScottHD on RUclips who does only washes on a test panel hood. Many of these have performed excellent without any toppings on multiple tests. Check out his channel super helpful info

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  5 месяцев назад

      The main reason I like using toppers is for adding slickness onto the paint every few washes.

    Honestly, if you are doing good maintenances washes decon and toppers, a coating will lost forerever. The only reason you may want to remove it is to take out some wash marring or just want to try a new product...or did the coating fail and you are only seeing the toppers?

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  4 месяца назад

      You can definitely extend the life a lot but will still fail over time.
      You can see its just the coating on the paint here as i have the dead spot on the bonnet where I had to polish a section to remove bat droppings a while back,
      So if the car had a topper you'd see that section still performing like the rest of the car
