Thank you so much Torrie, I really really enjoyed watching you create those gorgeous and stunning backgrounds, and they’re all super cool and this was so useful and helpful too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Fabulous, thank you! xoxo
You're so lovely 💫💖💫 Thankyou for sharing xx
I love that you have your favorite old sweater…and maybe a dog judging from the cuffs.
Yay I finally found a channel that I can relate to, on a level I can clearly understand and participate in as well. Thank you so much for your videos. Subscribed.
I love these! They are so cool and yes...grungy! I don't actually possess a heat gun or the Dust Destroyer nozzle thingy however I do own a gelli plate! Something tells me I definitely need to experiment with my gelli plate! TYSMFS ❤ your pages are beautiful Torrie 😍
Joined in on Messy May 2023! This video is so helpful.
Yeahhhhhhh
Thanks for sharing this. This is the first time I have ever heard of acrylic inks or seen a gelli plate in action 🙂
OMG. If you love grungey looks GET A GELLI PLATE!! They're ADDICTIVE!!!
Great tips and demos. Recycling what you have. I’m going to try the brayer.
Thank you.
Nicely done, and thanks for not talking at a hundred miles per hour! I didn't know those gelli plates came in such a small size. I may have to round up one of those.
I really enjoyed watching all these techniques. Thanks for the inspiration.
These techniques are so cool. Thank you for sharing!
White or clear gesso is my go-to base as well.
so much fun, can't wait to "PLAY" in my journal.
You're the only Arttuber I've ever seen who explains that "not covering the whole brayer" thing the way you did & everything for me just CLICKED. BAM! THANK YOU!!! EDIT: OMG, I totally could see a "monster" in your Sumi ink splater! I'm so going to have to do this!
Those are beautiful backgrounds. =)
Wow loved this thanks!
What was the name of the artist who made the monsters using the ink and the compressed air?
I love this
Ink- blowing through a straw will do the same as the compressed air blower
Acrylic Gesso- maybe there’s two types because what I bought doesn’t actually seal the paper, it just makes it chalky😢. I think it’s meant for giving tooth to boards which are already sealed. (It’s Liquitex acrylic mediums matte fluid gesso, in case you’re trying to avoid that!)
Thanks Torrie for sharing these cool ways of making backgrounds! It will definitely help me while I create my journal for my first Season! Was wondering how to make these nice effects and textures and now I know how to start! #getmessiannewbie
fyi, you dont need canned air, just use a straw and blow. You can chase the paint this way, I used to make these bugs, lol, using the plastic wrap for the body and then blobs and blowing for the legs.. loved them lol.
This is such a great tip! Thanks for sharing.
@@CayleeGrey you are welcome =)
Awesome!! Background ideas are the bomb. I'll be watchin' TFS ; - }
Can you use a hairdryer instead of heat gun?
did you say you made the brayer? how?
Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me what you use for a surface? The white wood looking surface. Is it vinyl?
Grungey.
