HIya, first off, what an amazing channel, im a newbie and youve helped me alot, sooo.... lol I have an RGB 7x8 matrix with 3 wires, problem is Im not sure how to wire it or use simhub as there isnt a 7x8 only 8x8 I have a stock of Arduino uno, nano and pro micro, if you could lend me a hand I would be very appreciative.
If you set this up for lets say a button box, is the program SimHub required to be able to use it? If I brought it to another PC that didn't have SimHub, could I assign buttons like any other controller, or would that PC also have to have SimHub?
I can't get mine to work. It turns on random LEDS with random colors. Im trying to figure why this is happening. Turns out my Matrix was defective and had a problematic LED making the whole thing malfuction, i was able replace it and now it works properly.
I've got into sim racing to the point, where I moved up to a descent rig and this was next on the list.. And I love building stuff myself - so this is perfect for me and I'll be getting straight on AlliExp to get everything I need to build my ultimate button Box and Display.. Many thanks for this vid - given me great ideas and the knowledge I needed.. ALSO - I just looked back through your vids - a lot of stuff I need to watch - sub'd, like Not sure If I want to get a 3D printer just for this though, so you or anyone else know of a good place to get something printed to my design..
There are 3D printing services out there that can do this for you. A quick Google search should come up with results for that. A cheap 3D printer will do the job, so depending on how much that costs for everything you need compared to a 3D printing service. It may be better value getting a basic 3D printer. Having one ends up being quite handy for other random bits and bobs too.
Very nice! If I want to use 2 display: one as iflag and another (ex: nextion) as lap display like the ones we have in the wheels I’ll need more than one arduino?
This seems the perfect place to ask. I want to wire a WS2812B LED Strip as well as a WS2812B 8X8 matrix, and was wondering if I can have them both run by the same Arduino? Do I just need to set one to like "D6" and the other to "D7" and it should work, correct?
Hello everyone!! I don't know if anyone can help me. I have installed a ws2812b matrix and it works but the LEDs are disordered. I have tried the serpentine setting and it still doesn't show anything ordered. I don't know what else to do, I've searched and can't find anything that works for me.
Did you ever make the tutorial building the sim flag using a WS2812B and a Nano? I can’t find the video. Is it just three wires between the Nano and the matrix board?
Not yet, it's something in my list of things to do. Yeah, it's just 3 wires. And basically as simple as all the other stuff I run through on the table here.
@@SimRacingCorner thanks for the quick response. Just trying to put mine together now. Have wired the data cable to D4 and attempting to get it up and running with Simhub, but I don’t really know what I’m doing 🤷♂️ Edit - random button pressing has won the day - all up and running now, amazing.
Hello my friend,.love the channel !! I saw this video and was wondering if you could possibly help me out? I have a 3drap steering wheel, inside is a Arduino nano for the led's and a Arduino micro that is supposed to control the 58 functions of buttons, rotary dials etc. I didn't make the wheel I got it second hand, however it started disconnecting randomly until a few days ago it crashed my pc. I turned it back on but the wheel is not working. I had a little help from someone on Instagram and between us we've found that the micro board has been wiped clean. I do have the original sketch from the guy who built the wheel but I cannot get it to load back on. I have absolutely zero knowledge of Arduino so any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks Stu
Sorry, I wish I could help. I've only uploaded to Arduino's through SimHub, so it's a different process. There's going to be tons of videos tutorials on YT on how to upload sketches, though, so it shouldn't be difficult.
@@SimRacingCorner I’m pumped to hear the results of your “sound exciter” video. I was so close to pulling the trigger on Sim 3d’s pedal rumble motors but it’s from the UK and by the time it gets to Canada, Yikes! Are you a big fan of the Nobsound amps? I had bought one for my bass shakers but it never really put out the proper power but I’d assume it would work with the sound exciters no problem.
The Nobsound amps are fine when used with the appropriate shakers, and more than enough for these sound exciters. And of course, make sure the PSU being used with the amp is sufficiently powerful enough too.
3D print service is your friend. Find a 3D print file that fits your part, and send it to them and wait. My recommendation though is to buy an ender printer, but there is a bit of a learning curve if you're willing to put in the time + effort

Can I use one namo with the 8 by 8 led matrix with two left and right separate matrixs?
used this to setup the gtw wheel I just got!!! thank you!!!
Fantastic upload will definitely try this thanks
Hey. Do you have/know of any tutorials that show you how to do the one with the Uno and 8x8 matrix and 7 segment display? Thanks
Great video thank you. Looking forward to getting Into this In the near future once I decide what displays I want to make.
Glad it was helpful!
would it be wise to run the led matrix, an LED strip and a 7seg display directly off of the Arduino? Would that kind of setup draw too much power?
I don't know what the limit would be.

Essentially yes. You can see I've done this in the video with one example.
Gnd - gnd
Vcc - 5v
Din - d5
Cs - d6
CLK - d7
Così?
@@darinho23 Just follow what SImHub shows you, as I have demonstrated in the video.

Anyone know what size screws to use with with 3D printed iFlag case?
Whenever I click upload to arduino it says programmer not responding, do you know how to fix this?
Maybe if you don't select the correct Arduino, it may fail with this error. I haven't tried that, it's just a guess.

Come colleghi la matrice con Arduino?
It's the same as the other devices I’ve shown, but you will need to solder wires onto the board.
I’m about to dip my toes into doing stuff like this but the biggest problem is finding cases for this stuff, as I don’t own a 3d printer 🙄
I completely agree, It can be difficult to work with these displays unless you have a 3D printer.

La matrice che indica le bandiere e che cambia colore
