It feels great to start working in a bedroom space because I truly LOVE designing a bedroom! Marie has always loved a darker/moody room (her previous was a dark grey limewash) and we are taking the color quite moody once again. This color may not be for everyone but just wait until we add other elements and bring it all together!

Watching Justin work is NOT being stuck with him. He's such a great worker! Always does a great job. 😊
Definitely do a cream ceiling! It would really show off the curved walls.
Definitely! 🙂
I think a cream ceiling would look great!!!!
The cream ceiling would work very well in the room. Love the curved walls and cream would be soothing to look at as well. Very calming
I think so too! I love how emphasized the curve is with the darker color and the light ceiling
@@lonefox❤❤❤❤❤
I think that painting the ceiling of the room the color of the walls would make it feel cave-like, and closed up. But the light color just seems to make your eyes open up, and enjoy the lighter color. My vote is to keep it light. This room is going to be beautiful, just like all that you do!
I have come to realize that if I am feeling dought about Drew's design choice, hang on. He is going to blow my mind with a beautiful outcome. It's so nice seeing Drew work his magic.
A light ceiling is the way to go. The bedroom is gonna be beautiful.
Also the light ceiling will showcase the light fixture.
Same with moldings- they need to be a contrast to the walls and usually white. Gloss is best for scrubbability. Young people think moldings scrub themselves.
Yes, leave the ceiling white it opens up the room and will draw your attention to the light fixture… I love the size of Marie’s bedroom.. I know she will love it.. watching from Annapolis,Maryland
I’d keep the ceiling light.
Yessss keeping it light
Why not pink?
I'd plaster it
Keeping the ceiling light draws your eye to the architectural detail that the headboard mimics.
I agree
I can see both ceiling colors as beautiful. The brown would be moody and cozy. The cream would be bright and uplifting. I think I prefer that, as I need cheery to get going in the morning.
Justin, Drew is lucky to have a friend like you. You’re always there with the assist.
I think the contrast of light and dark is very complementary regarding the ceiling
The light ceiling is my vote.
I actually love the light ceiling, just a tad warmer and it would be perfect!! The walls look amazing, I’m obsessed with that colour 😍
So glad you have been using more ppe lately and paint dancing is a total vibe.
i like the idea of a cream ceiling. I also like that the lighter color would more show the beautiful curve feature that ties into the headboard shape.
Tbh I was scared of this peanut butter color at first but it’s looking so good!! I vote for a lighter ceiling, to keep the space brighter and accentuate the curve in the ceiling😊
Love the 'peanut butter' comment
😅 I thought of peanut 🥜 butter too! When he opened that tub.
Hi there! I vote for white ceiling to go without the headboard. I think she would like that alot. Wouldn't be so dark. Good luck guys! ❤
Keeping the ceiling light helps to accentuate the cove feature as well as give the room an uplift.
MORE SAD BROWN.Your palette is drab.
I am interested in how this room will turn out. At this point, I dislike the wall color, but am open to being wrong!☺️ My first thought was that it was a poop color.( sorry!) I hope that I am pleasantly surprised! I have confidence in your design taste, so this will be really interesting. ❤
Before the current strike I designed for t.v.,and your design choices while thrifty lack punch. If you save on items bought online,SPLURGE on one eye catching piece that will light up the space and probably be the one thing kept when the person living there moves up.
Loving Maria’s room and I would leave the ceiling lighter ❤❤
The ceiling being close to the linen color would be so lovely and would continue to echo the curve of the coving. That wall color is gorgeous! With the dark floors, slightly lighter walls, and even lighter ceiling it would be just beautiful!
Light ceiling 100%!!! I love the contrast and it really makes it feel light and airy, especially if you’re going to add some visually heavy elements such as wood furniture
Light ceiling is the way to go!!
Love the light ceiling- like whipped cream on top of caramel
Ohhhh yes!!!
Agreed! Especially with the dark wood floors.
The dark wood floors could be the chocolate of this combination
Yes!! @@nomadine85
A creamy ceiling to match the headboard would be awesome ! Love the color choices !
Yes, Definitely! 🙂
Justin, I enjoy seeing you working on projects in Drew's home, and hope that you'll share your own space with us.
I like the idea of wallpapering the ceiling. Whether light or dark a statement wallpaper or even a more subtle textural paper would be so pretty imo.
I vote for light ceiling. Walls look great!
I’d wallpaper the ceiling, using light but warm colours. It will really add dimension and interest!
Ooh, I do like that idea, too. So many great ideas here.
YAAS
The ceiling...I totally agree a creamy toned color so there isn't a stark contrast. Love, love the walls!!
I agree - a creamy light color on the ceiling would be really pretty.
So beautiful! Justin we aren’t “stuck with you”, watching the three of you working together is so much fun. Wonderful to see friends who have become family. I think I’ll think about plastering. Wonder how it would work on a wall that has old well stuck wall paper, could you just plaster over it?
I actually love how the head board, white with brown trim, is mirrored in the white ceiling with the brown curve.
i like the idea of a light ceiling, playing off the creaminess of the headboard
I vote for painting the ceiling a white to match the headboard. Especially with all the wood and the dark floor and walls.
Looking good so far Drew!! Stick with a cream ceiling. Can’t wait to see it when it’s all done. 🙂
The walls look amazing! i would keep the ceiling light
Drew, you are truly blessed to have a friend like Justin, he’s amazing. And I’d keep the ceiling light. You can see the curve of the walls, it’s like the room wants to give you a hug ❤
Justin seems like a great friend, but Drew also employs him and pays him to work with him.
@@jo4vt really?? I’ll be his friend for free 😆
@@ilovecatsnteanbooks3971 I know, right?
I like the ceiling light. Its a beautiful contrast.
Keep the ceiling light. Go for a creamy white tone. The bedside cabinets are beautiful. All your wood tones are complimenting each other. Drew you are an artist at work in these vlogs x
Keep the ceiling creme color to reflect the headboard. Lovely start!!
I vote light ceiling. I’m really loving these room transformations. Great job Drew!
I like the light ceiling that will look great and coordinate with the headboard color.
I love the idea of lighter ceilings in this room!!!
Yes, please, on the light ceiling. So far, so good with the makeover!😊
I love the idea of the ceiling being plastered in the same colour as the walls
I feel like this is a teaser for a great project! Love it so far. I definitely vote for a light ceiling to lift the space and to give definition to the beautiful coved walls. I feel like the light ceiling will tie in with the headboard too.
Looking good. Leave the ceiling light!!!
Hi Drew, I'm in the "keep the ceiling white camp," I think in the Fall and Winter months a darker ceiling may make the room feel cozy but as soon as Spring and Summer arrive again, the room may begin to look and feel hot. Love all the work you and Justin have done so far, Marie is a lucky lady to have such great friends.😊 Love your channel.
Drew, i like ceiling light. The contrast with the headboard is nice! Thank you for posting this video. I can’t wait to see the next one.
A dark floor with a light ceiling will make the room feel taller. I say go for it.
I feel like the plastered ceiling option could make the room feel so cozy. I was thinking it could make the room feel too dark, but there are quite a few windows to let in natural light, so it may not! Although I think a cream ceiling would also look beautiful!
I agree. I'd plaster it.
Ask Maria 😮Please as She's the One who's Going to be LiVing in This Room😮 No Matter what colored the ceiling becomes
It will be Beautifully created just for Her
Your will is always creative & has A Great Dynamic & I've always LoVed Your Cozy Looking Traveled Looking Dramatic Spaces
...They always come out Great, by the End .😮 So What Does Maria want in Her Dream Bedroom Because it should be Her ultimate Dream Room ❤ Last time she wanted Paris 🤔💝 Have You Guys ever thought of adding an IKEA trac for a Canopy Creation Around Her Bed. Putting A Canopy into this space is A Divine Plan because there is plenty of room to pull it off... plus it adds another layer of sophistication to that Bed which would give her an Awesome romantic look into this Larger floor space in the room...is it large enough for a chaise for lounging or books space for escaping others to reading or rest when she's restless >>>Bed in a woman's space should have lot's of storage and romantic touches if possibilities to do them arrive 🧐 in Any Space Choosing Her Designs in a bedroom for A Woman it should be dreamy & personal. So what does She Wan =t as Her Dream Space could she do a post with You and tell us What she really Loves Creatively around her private quarters maybe a writing desk or vanity for makeup or a chaise for naps or reading nook or a faux fireplace for ambiance as Creating prettier Spaces for Maria .Is awesom to see this as an important space for a Beautiful Princess 😮💝
My thoughts exactly!
Hello ..... definitely a cream ceiling shows off the curves, which may not 'standout' so much if all in the same colour - the cream will reflect the headboard so nicely, making it very stylish!
Light ceiling would be my suggestion. I love the different colors in the wood, Drew. I think Marie will love it, too.
Cream color linen or grass cloth wall
Paper of the ceiling. Wall paper is in.
It would be so fun. Texture.😊👏👏👏
Cream ceiling team. This is looking so good! I can't wait to see the end result. 🤩
💕Marie is lucky to have a you as such a fantastic friend💕
I like the light ceiling but I’ve learned that whatever color choices you make, the result is amazing and seems perfect.
I love the idea of making the room all the same color and maybe adding lighting to make the curves stand out! The color is just beautiful 💕
Definitely keep a light colored ceiling! I can’t wait to see the finished project.
I vote for the light ceiling to match the fabric on the headboard. If you bring in drapes and bedding I would also go with a light color.
You could always plaster the ceiling in the lighter colour. That would give you the movement you’re after but also the effect of the lighter contrasting colour. Love what you’ve done so far
Great design choice for Marie's Bedroom. Drew you have a brilliant eye for design & colour. Justin you are a great support to Drew. You are a creative influence. x
I love the very light ceiling as is. Good job, Drew! Curious to see the end result.
Great job Drew and Justin, definitely leave the ceiling light. Looks great as always
I LOVE the light ceiling. But im also with you i think the room would just look so much more elegant and royal with the plastered ceiling.
For a bedroom I would-definitely paint the ceiling dark as well, makes it nice and dramatic!!
I love the idea of a creamier light ceiling.
The ceiling compliments the headboard so well-definitely leave it light!
I vote for a creamy light ceiling!
OMG, the headboard is GORGEOUS ❤ x
I like the consistent look of the ceiling being the same color. You can lighten up the room with all the Decour and lighting.
Definitely leave the ceiling light. It would look like a dark box if you colored the ceiling. The ceiling the same color as Marie's bed. Love the bed and side t tables
I need a Justin in my life ..... he gets so much done! What a great friend.
I love Justin being there, too. He’s such a sweetheart, like Drew and Marie.
I love the coziness of all the walls and ceiling hugging the room. Lighter ceiling makes a brighter room. Guess it personal to be surrounded in a bear hug or a brighter lighter room. Can’t really go wrong either way.❤
I love how the lighter ceiling shows the curves and makes the other stuff pop
Creamy almost a "latte" for the ceiling. I think the lightness emphasizes the curves of the walls. That expensive wall paint looked almost so thick and yummy it needed a spoon to stir. Love the hues.
Definitely do the ceiling in the same colour as the walls, it'll create a more cohesive intimate room in my opinion which is always good for bedroom vibe x
I love watching the plaster dry. The look is so amazing when done. As the water dries up the color is revealed it’s so buttery soft like caramel. I’d keep the lighter ceiling not stark white but maybe an off white.
I would love to see the ceiling more cream colored. A light ceiling offers more of a feminine feel, in my opinion. Dark walls, flooring, & ceiling give a very masculine cigar room vibe.
I agree. Having the ceiling match the bed frame would be lovely.
I think the room is going to be absolutely beautiful. Maybe go with a natural cream color, similar in shade to natural cream from Benjamin Moore paints, but maybe a plaster in that shade. Even a textured plaster in natural cream would look beautiful, that way the texture isn't distracting from the rest of the room.
Yes, painted ceiling creamy color. All plaster or all dark would 'enclose' the space and make it feel smaller, I think.
how nice it is that even though he's bought a home he still has Marie living with him 🥹 literal friendship goals
Beautiful Colors, and Woodtones, Drew! 🙂
( I, also would go with a Cream color, for the Ceiling) 🙂
Drew is in his brown era and I am here for it.
And a light ceiling for sure.
I think that the ceiling could be the same plaster. It would give the space an incredible backdrop for lighting.
I like a lighter color on the ceiling. Can't wait to see the finished product!
I would definitely leave the ceiling in the linen or white. It would be too dark with the same color!
Absolutely on the lighter headboard and ceiling color tones. It’s gonna be so pretty Drew when your finish. You have a great eye for design and your design sense is spot on.❤
Paint the ceiling a soft blue with stretching clouds and fling birds!
The lighter ceiling gives me Euro-rustic vibes, which I love.
I’m so happy when you do stuff for Marie! Good on you!
It’s so in fashion to paint wall, ceiling, woodwork all the same colour. Look at all the high end interior books. It’s so stylish.
I think a ceiling to go with the headboard would be beautiful! I loved how it looks with the light headboard and light ceiling working together! I also think the reflection of light on the gorgeous curved ceiling will show better with the shadows from the window reflecting on a light colour.
Hey, Drew! I LOVE the color palette!
Cream ceiling!! 👍😊
First, I’ve been waiting soooooo long to see Maries bedroom makeover, she chose the perfect room IMHO.
May I suggest the ceiling be done in a color that is a lighter or two shade of the plaster (which looks super fabulous)?
I think a light ceiling is Beautiful in that room. I really love the plaster look for walls and ceiling. Stunning.
Love the light ceiling it’s so much more elegant and the contrast brings a freshness that’s wonderful!
Love the idea of plastering the ceiling! Do it on an cream color.
Good afternoon Drew, Justin and Marie..Yes id keep the ceiling light..❤
Plaster the ceiling Drew! We both know you want too! Would make the room moody and cozy! Perfect for a bedroom! That's if Marie is good with it 😉🤞❣️
