I'd like seeing a Special Parts section of the Tuning shop that has a random stock of engines and S tuning parts that rotate out every day or two like the Used Car dealer. The idea of having special parts and engine swaps unlocking for a specific car if you drive a certain amount of mileage in it is a good idea too.
@@agusrgs3654 no I want special parts more than I want engine swaps. High Capacity intercooler, Ultra SC, Titanium Rods and Pistons Stage 5 Weight reduction, Carbon Drive shafts. I have a few cars with 2 special parts and just missing the driveshaft and rods
Those of us from the engine glitch day were sooooo lucky. I doubt PD will ever make a change in the current system. I think we have higher odds of another glitch before PD is so generous. MAYBE next Thanksgiving or Xmas they follow last year's smash update with a couple engine swaps but I won't hold my breath.
I think they need to add or modify the existing championship events. In older GT games they felt more rewarding and always got a car at the end. But for GT7 instead of cars, they should put rare car parts or engine swaps as the final reward for winning the championship. I think it will get people to do championships again and it will be worth grinding for.
What sucks the most is the roulette for engines seems to drop 'useless' engines quite often, that can't be applied for swaps. They're just there in case you want to replace a car's old engine with the exact same engine, just newer. If PD wants to keep the roulette system they need to fix their damn rates. RNG is worse than genshin impact lmao
ive been thinking that a good and easy way to get engines would be that when you purchase a new engine for a car you can choose to place the new or the old engine in the car youve bought the engine for and the other would be placed in you parts list, that would make sense, i would never throw away a working engine you apoke of this but i wrote this before you started talking 😅
@@evandaymon8303 well yeah, that makes sense, an engine costs 10-200k credits and the old just dieappear, that doesnt make sense to me you know, irl i would never throw away a working engine because i got a new one
Same! All I've ever gotten were the menu book ones and got 2 Hellcats, 2 2JZs, a Corvette ZR1, an NSX race engine and an RB38 GT-R engine. Pretty weaksauce, since most can't even be used cross-platform. If I'm grinding to make money to buy cars, let me grind to buy engine swaps too ffs... charge me double the cost to fit it into what I want, I don't care, just let me do it.
best thing they can do to satisfy everyone including Sony who wants to push MTX: the new engine option in the tuning shop, all they need to do is add an option menu when buying a new engine(Use now or Save for later) this would even benefit Sony is that you would have to OWN the car the engine comes from in order to buy it for swaps. take the 787b for example, you would have to spend the credits to buy the car and then spend more credits to buy the engine for another car. it would give people another reason to buy the more expensive and exclusive cars. it would not be cheap, but it would mean its not luck based anymore. Also the "special" tuning parts should also be buyable under the "extreme" tab
I've always said, anything and everything in the game should be readily accessible and for sale. No roulette tickets for cars, parts or stupid invitations. Roulette tickets should be for winning credits only.
Great video, the best way to get them is, if you own the car the engine comes out of , and you own the car it is compatible with , you should be able to buy the engine and that should go into the spare parts menu and then you should be able to put the engine in , even if the engine comes at the 100,000 credits , you own both cars so it should work that way
I had 4 engines but the game didn't say what cars they could be fitted to. Thanks to this video and Google I now have a 1050hp BRZ , a 950hp Transam, and a Lancia Delta that eats porsche 's for Breakfast! Happy Days 😄
I had a similar idea as well. Tie it to collector level and at say level 25, offer the lower hp or cost engines up for sale and then at 50 open up all swaps for sale at the price they show. But the catch is, those swaps are only purchasable once. After that you rely on the ticket system for any more of them. But this way everyone has a chance at swaps but it doesn't get out of hand like the ticket glitch did
Thank goodness for the glitch that allowed me to collect dozens of engine swaps. Since that was patched I have won just 2 engines despite grinding every day and none of the newer engine swaps that have been added. I think it is a good idea to have the engine swap be purchasable in the game. That way we can grind to earn money for that modification.
I have an idea for a video You could rank the money methods and explain how each one works and also the requirements, best car and how easy it is to lose the clean race bonus.
I literally play this game on 2 separate accounts daily just to try to get engine tickets. Unfortunately it doesn't work often but I have gotten a decent amount of engines but I'm definitely not satisfied. We should definitely be able to buy them. IMO the best swaps are the GTR GT500 engine in the fairlady Z is amazing and obviously the 787b in the FD. The focus with the Ford GT engine is pretty wild and the Lancia Delta too.
It makes complete sense if you like a car you going to drive it a lot if you drive it a lot then you should be given all the exclusive parts for it at various points of mileage
Probably mentioned this on an earlier video but engine swaps and special parts/ultra parts should've never been earned through roulette. Perhaps have them unlocked through certain races which gives you the ability to buy them permanently. At least then it would've been more motivating to do different races rather than doing the same events over and over only for credits. It would've been a great addition to have ''seasonal'' events which earns you highly valuable cars through hard races limited to certain times through the year. For example having the Bmw mclaren f1 gifted during a certain month or week by finishing a special/seasonal event.
I really wish they would would allow us to purchase the engines and allow more cars to be swapped. I really want a Coyote or Voodoo swapped 1969 Boss 429 Mustang. Would love a high-revving small block in that car to replicate the early 70's Trans Am racing Boss 302.
Since they're trying so hard to stay "realistic" as they've stated with the ridiculous pay cut controversy from way back, they should just add a section in the tuning shop to purchase engine swaps. They could keep it "realistic" by charging 5 million for an engine which would lead to people having to microtransact and they can make $$$$. Being serious now, it's almost like polyphony doesn't want us to enjoy this game. It's one bonehead decision after another. They add a roulette system which is there to give the player the middle finger. Play for 2 hours doing a series of races to win a $5,000 roulette ticket that doesn't even buy you a set of tires. And it's every time. I have played this game three times now on different accounts and I have never won the big prize in a roulette ticket. Why even have it in the game?
They probably want it to be a "super rare lucky" prize which you can (based on the system they have) get a few times a year. That being said, since a lot of people got so many during the glitch, us newer players have absolutely none. I think they just need to make them avaliable for everyone through means that actually make sense.
I've literally never done an engine swap... hundreds of hours put in this game. I have 10 unique engines in my garage, have no idea what vehicles they could actually go in. Seems pretty stupid it tells you the retail price for an item you can't sell, but doesn't tell you what you can swap it into....
A lot of times you'll just get engines, as in they can't be swapped into other cars. It's literally pointless, like new engines you can only put in one car (which is the original the engine comes from). Out of about seven engine "swap" tickets, I've just gotten new replacement engines that can't ever be put in any other car except its own
I really just don't like the engine swap lottery system at all. I remember one of the things I loved about the Forza games on 360 (the last ones I've played) you could just swap engines in. There's too many walls up in GT7 for upgrading your cars or building them the way you would like. I do a lot of online racing now because I got tired of the grind of the story mode and trying to unlock all of these things. Also, doing the daily roulette, I 99% of the time get the worst prize you can get and walk away with like 10 grand. It's an absurd system
Ideally speaking from a fan aspect they should consider the replayability, grinding cash cow races / hoarding credits isn't replayability at all, but some missions with luck based roulette on exclusive parts or money is. Take the NSX-R Nurb time trial as example, they can make a Honda mission base on that, doing a sub 7:00 gets 200K credits (higher loot rate) or an HR414 engine (a few percent loot rate)?
Kaz made it clear that he wants “scarcity” in the game. Aka he wants cars to be like NFTs that you can’t sell to other players but only back to the game. Gran Turismo is not built for the modern gaming scene. You can thank Sony for all this
Well clearly a bunch of players benefited from the glitch, which is fine, but it leaves newer players at an unfair advantage without engine swaps. I think PD needs to make up for it by making them accessible to everyone. And I get maybe engine swaps should be 'rare' but with the current roulette rates you'd realistically only get one or maybe 2 per year which is insanely stupid
My favorite car is the corvette. I’ve played probably more than most besides content creators. I want every special part for all vettes. I hate not having any corvette stuff!
I've got the Audi Quattro engine swap for the Mk. I Golf, and it's turned that thing into an absolute animal. Destroys the front tires after a lap but it's a pocket rocket with that engine.
Mentioned in a previous ago that video that they should just have them for sale in a legends-type format, with rarity of engine (civic k20c1 to 787B/Enzo for ex.) determining availability. If they want to follow the model of realistic car market values and rarity, then the same should be applied to the engines. I can buy a K20 much easier than an Enzo engine irl, and an engine shop of some kind should reflect that.
I'd love to give you one of my Escudo engines, as I have 3 spares. An engine swap I've been trying to catch for quite a while is the M97/80-911 engine for the 930 Turbo. Ever since I've heard it was available for the 930, I've tried catching it, but have been unsuccessful. It's typically a pitiful 10-30k or an engine swap I already have.
Its even worse for special parts. Their is Bore up s Stroke up s High lift camshaft s Connecting rods and pistons Ultra turbo Supercharger high rpm s I think even many of those parts have not been added to all cars in the game yet Random parts for different cars have been added from month to month but the ods to get Those parisiska even worse than engine swaps
The idea of motor swapping is awesome but it's the most useless feature of GT7. We should be able to put any motor we have in any car we have. I've got 7 or 8 motors that I can't do anything with unless I just wanna bring a car back to factory specs. Why can't I put my 787B motor into my S2000 or GTR GT500. If we're gonna be limited on which car we can install them in how about a list of which cars each motor is compatible with. If there is one I can't find it.
The escudo swap is over-rated. I have it in the Evo X but the turbo lag is so huge that it is really awkward to use. One that I miss and would really like is the Audi Pikes Peak in the Golf 1.
I've only got 5000 credits on my daily roulette and it's getting annoying. I like your idea of being able to purchase engines at the used car or the historic dealer. I don't even care if each engine is 1 million credits
What I would like to see is all of the engines on the left-hand side of the screen, and then when you click on that engine all of the cars that you have in your garage pop-up on the right hand side of the screen and you can just simply pick the car that you want to upgrade the engine to having to search Internet forums, screenshots, and figure it all out is just so annoying and stupid. Again it's Japanese people making it complicated when it could've been so simple. If a simple menu system where all of your engines are on the left-hand side of the screen and all of the available cars in your garage are on the right hand side of the screen and you could simply click and drop into those cars. Would've been a much better system and would've taken five minutes instead of half an hour searching on the Internet to try and find the right matching car and engine. It actually put me off doing it
Best solution is get rid of that crap altogether. I think I have over 20 engines right now and it makes me mad every time I win another one. I'm not 12 yrs old and wish pd would fix the problems with actual racing instead of adding junk features. It would be different if they didn't bill themselves as a "racing sim"....... it's FAR from being close to a sim and never will be if they don't quit adding junk that has nothing to do with racing.
I miss the old GT games.....even sport and GT6 were better than this. It makes me sad because I've always loved the series and expected a lot from GT7, but now I'm just dissapointed.
Just letting you know the Porsche engine from the trailer in the Beetle is accessible as I have two engines from the old ticket glitch last year. Awesome video and i wished they changed the method to a better way of acquiring them like in the extreme tab of the tuning shop
@@MLGProSwag69 I don't remember the exact numbers but I have at least 5 of all the other engines available at the time of the glitch. That Porsche engine was indeed the hardest one to get. Since the glitch got patched I have only obtained 3 engines, 2 of which were the Audi R8 engine
@@JimmyChooGTR you sure you got the “M96/76-Porsche-'01” (the one people say is only in the trailers) and not the “M64/03-911” (the one that was available when the ticket glitch happened)

When u win of buy a car in thr tuning shop is the option to buy the engine for that car. So why can't we buy then for swaps? Makes no sense to me. We grind to get money to buy cars, but can't buy engines to swap. I also think players should be able to sell duplicate engines to other players or trade engines. With no January update this game is boring as hell right now
I won’t lie I love your videos but this is the first time since I bought the game that I stopped playing it I have been 100 percent for a while now ( minus the drift missions ) and I just can’t bring my self to keep playing it just becomes boring after a long time. I don’t play online as much but maybe I should.
What happened to Ford Roadster? I play the game daily to see if its available and never saw it (I play it since september 2022). I got an engine swap for it but can't use it since the car ins't there to be bought.
Time and luck based systems are the laziest and most player-unfriendly mechanics that you can add to a game like this. They're for games like MMORPG's that are trying to keep you subscribed. I bought the game free and clear, everything should be able to be earned by winning races or spending credits right off the bat. Don't even get me started on the invitations in the daily tickets. I got the Lambo invite three times in two weeks. What a massive waste of my time.
The invitation feature is already stupid. I say if you get the invitation, you get the car for free, or at the very least at a special discounted price. I don't like the idea of "scarcity" the PD seems to want to implement into GT7
It's currently such a poor system.. not just engine swaps but all the special parts - complete luck and usually you end up with a part for a car you don't own and aren't interested in The engine swaps themselves barely make sense - i.e. engines into cars that don't make sense, or that you can't put and Chevy LS in much when in the real world you can The roulette ticket is also pointless... i did the 3 menu books that get engines and just got replacement engines for cars i don't own Its a shame as it could have been a fun thing to do in game and led to some good builds
Exactly! I just keep getting replacement engines (which I don't even know why they are in the roultette in the first place since replacement engines can actually be bought in the tuning shop. I feel PD just doesn't want to give people engine swaps or rare parts at all, and it doesn't make any sense. If they didn't want people to get them, why even put them in the game at all?
I m still hoping they bring more cars, companys like volvo, shelby, cadillac, chrysler ,lotus .. Gt4 had so much more.. , also i think it should be more tracks , ... about theses random loot for engines its crap..... have that
I know this has nothing to do with engine swaps but the other day I got a Indy car for a prize and I got it tuned down to try it for a money grind but it said no nos allowed, it doesn’t have it but when I go to the setup it showed 10% and no way of changing it. Any reason for this and anyway to change it?
Lets be frank, GT has ALWAYS been a grind, and that has been part of the fun (in a strange way). However, I feel with GT7 they have turned the grind factor way up with ridiculous payouts etc and the fun dial was turned right down with no ability to purchase engine swaps and special parts etc, paving the way for MTX. MTX is fine, its not for me but I see the point for people that are time poor. There needs to be both options for GT to continue. For hardcore gamers who have no issue doing 50 laps of the 'ring, have races that allow that and pay accordingly. For the MTX folks, no problem if you want to get in an Enzo right away and have some fun. I think where PD are failing is they are pushing players down the MTX path, shunning loyal fans with no recognition for effort (when compared to previous GT's). Unless PD drastically change course, I am moving away from GT unfortunately, and I suspect I am not alone here.
If they really are going down the MTX path they should at least make Engine Swap tickets purchasable. Like ten tickets for 7.99 or whatever. But no, they won't even do that. It's just supposed to be based on sheer luck alone, which is already a problem since out of all the tickets I've ever used I've only got a worthwhile prize like 5% of the time. Absolutely ridiculous.
@@lucasyamashita5998 I agree Lucas, its almost smelling like a scam. PD have run off with our money only to deliver a half baked game that champions MTX. How else is one supposed to afford those $20m cars? Theres many hours of grinding involved to do that without MTX, and thats just for one car. When Kaz himself said words to the effect: 'Players shouldnt be doing the same track over and over etc to get credits', it does sound like a scam all round.
PD just being lazy making anything into ticket loots, if manufacturer mission / mileages on specific car does exists how PD can handle the engine / parts mileage exchange system with new cars, new tracks?
Nah, it's unlikely they'd do that. The most likely thing they would do is what they have done so far: Absolutely nothing. I sadly doubt anything will change, bc it seems they don't care about the playerbase anymore
BoP + Engine swaps = a big fail. Why would ANYONE want an engine swap when you can't use it in online? 1P not easy enough (besides the S10 lisence...). Redundant addition to the game, as far as I am concerned.

Their is
Bore up s
Stroke up s
High lift camshaft s
Connecting rods and pistons
Ultra turbo
Supercharger high rpm s
I think even many of those parts have not been added to all cars in the game yet
Random parts for different cars have been added from month to month but the ods to get Those parisiska even worse than engine swaps
Great Ideas, will PD use them ? Doubtful which is a shame. That Escudo engine has been eluding me for months.
Be nice to have an option to exclude engine swapped cars from a lobby
Buying engines would benefit the game. I won a engine ticket racing online last night. I haven't opened the ticket yet.
Some content like new championships and endurance races would be better that's the way to keep people playing
I was lucky enough to get the NSX GT500 engine once again it’s going on the 92 NSX this time
I just did the beetle to 911 engine swap. It's in the game.
I’ve pulled 1 engine from a non engine specific ticket in the last year. . .
How many of the others did you get? I have >50 of all the other engines from the glitch but none of the one that’s supposedly only in the trailer?
@@MLGProSwag69 I don't remember the exact numbers but I have at least 5 of all the other engines available at the time of the glitch. That Porsche engine was indeed the hardest one to get. Since the glitch got patched I have only obtained 3 engines, 2 of which were the Audi R8 engine
@@JimmyChooGTR you sure you got the “M96/76-Porsche-'01” (the one people say is only in the trailers) and not the “M64/03-911” (the one that was available when the ticket glitch happened)
I just want a civic engine for my mini, that's all I want, not the half dozen Corvette C6 engines that I have been given :-(
I have a bug i dont get my daily routine ticket anymore
This was a common issue when the clocks changed for a few weeks but I didn't know it was still an issue, keep me updated & let me know if it resolves itself
I've got a ford roadster with voodoo engine swap and its undrivable no matter what i try and do tuning wise
@@bomfunk77 was it in the Hagerty classic car section?
@@63Imp283 yes in legend cars
HERE! HERE!
Still blows my mind that an RB26 or 13b swap is not available.
13B swap into the mx5 is.
Is it possible to use just half roll cage in back of vehicle?
Gift option, with trading points earned from social activities.
It's currently such a poor system.. not just engine swaps but all the special parts - complete luck and usually you end up with a part for a car you don't own and aren't interested in
The engine swaps themselves barely make sense - i.e. engines into cars that don't make sense, or that you can't put and Chevy LS in much when in the real world you can
The roulette ticket is also pointless... i did the 3 menu books that get engines and just got replacement engines for cars i don't own
Its a shame as it could have been a fun thing to do in game and led to some good builds
I got that engine u looking for for the Evo 10
I m still hoping they bring more cars, companys like volvo, shelby, cadillac, chrysler ,lotus .. Gt4 had so much more.. , also i think it should be more tracks , ... about theses random loot for engines its crap..... have that
I know this has nothing to do with engine swaps but the other day I got a Indy car for a prize and I got it tuned down to try it for a money grind but it said no nos allowed, it doesn’t have it but when I go to the setup it showed 10% and no way of changing it. Any reason for this and anyway to change it?
Reward definitely
Is there a in game list of the engine swaps? I have a bunch but don’t know what they go in.
There is a list that is updated every time the game is updated, it's on GTPlanet
Good idea. Have alot race gold and i got 1 engine swap. Is not funny anymore.
No puedo instalar los motores que tengo aún 😂
PD just being lazy making anything into ticket loots, if manufacturer mission / mileages on specific car does exists how PD can handle the engine / parts mileage exchange system with new cars, new tracks?
Polyphony would rather remove them completely than listen to the players. Watch.
Nah, it's unlikely they'd do that. The most likely thing they would do is what they have done so far: Absolutely nothing. I sadly doubt anything will change, bc it seems they don't care about the playerbase anymore
We need to make a petition or something because the current system for engine swaps are trash
Engine Swap
you want Engine Swap a car but the Engine Swap say only delete if you try
i try the video 787b to rx8
Its a specific Rx7 afaik.
Real simulator???? If I’m a millionaire like in the game and I want to do a LS swap then I shouldn’t need a roulette ticket to do so. “Mic Drop”
BoP + Engine swaps = a big fail.
Why would ANYONE want an engine swap when you can't use it in online?
1P not easy enough (besides the S10 lisence...).
Redundant addition to the game, as far as I am concerned.
i dont understand why i paid 80 quid for a game im not aloud to have i can play the game as they want me to play it but not how everyday same spin same gift its dogsh.t
No thanx, I'm perfectly fine playing my $10 "Playstation Hits" copy of Gran Turismo Sport. These games get worse each year with less features than games made in the 2000's. Lmao🤡💩
If I can sell a car why can't I scrap a car and keep its engine?
