- I dropped $52 on some hand selected cards. A lot of dime box cards, a few from the dollar box and even some slabs. A fun mixture of baseball, basketball, football, non-sports, and even soccer. Wow. What a fun bunch of cards. Love those Marlins cards. Never saw those before. Cool JAG cards. I actually watched a lot of that show. Cool McGwire cards.

Dewey’s eyebrows were used to scare geese off of the field at Fenway for years!
I didn’t know that about creating the rule after she tried out. You pick up many of the same types of cards as we do. Love the Jose non Licensed cards. Especially the Yellow classic. Never seen those Rickey’s cards.
She was signed and ready to play, but the president of the Minor Leagues decried that no one shall play professional baseball, keeping her out of the lineup right before she was set to play. Those Jose cards are so cool, and so very representative of all the glut of cards that came from every corner of the globe in the late 80s/early 90s. It was a weird, wild and glorious time to collect cards. Thanks for the comment!

As much as a fan as I am, I don’t expect him to get in. But you never know, the sentiment on known steroid players could shift. But I’m okay with him not getting in if that is the case. I still enjoyed his career either way.

Haha. Dwight Evans is truly an underrated player. And $52 does a lot of damage to my budget. I’ll be eating Chef Boyardee for lunch the next couple of weeks.
