Pulled 2 SPs out of a retail display box. They were not turned backwards. You either have to know the variation image or check the code on the back. At least the codes are a little easier to read this year.

Thank you for sharing. Due to cost and finances, I'm going to have to hold out for Chrome and Update. Chrome should have MVP buybacks and the Update checklist should be loaded. If buying Series 2, I'd avoid blasters as you demonstrated. In the past, hangers have been bangers. Hangers or fat packs seem the best way to go.

So I've heard some people calling the base holiday inserts "crop circles", and I feel that's about as good a description as is possible. Plus it adds an alien type vibe to the set which is always a plus for me. I did pull a Golden Mirror Pete Crow-Armstrong out of a blaster, but I don't expect that to be easy by any means.
I like when you do these comparison videos. It's nice to get 4-5 parallels a box but Topps seems to avoid putting good parallels in these boxes like you said. Getting 32 parallels is nice but only 2 were good lol.
You can get the sp’s outta hangers. I’ve pulled a borderless Riley green. Sold for 80 raw. Got a homefield advantage Pete Crowe Armstrong and a single logo border sp/parallel. It’s been insane

That's really cool. I was in the same store last Friday as well.. Bought 2 hangers and 2 fat packs. Didn't like the price though of 10.59 for a fat pack and 14.99 for a hanger. With the sale you save a few bucks though...
You can pull 🔥 from Hangers, I ripped 20 and pulled 2 autos, one was a Dual Auto /10, a Golden Mirror, and multiple #'d parallels including a Ohtani /75.
@stoopkid2006 The Dual Auto was Fisk/Varitek, the Golden was Steer. Look on the Bay at sold ones. You'll see three sams seller and if you look at available items you'll see the Ohtani plus a few others I pulled from 20 Hangers. The other auto I kept since it was a PC.
I grabbed one blaster in the mall, and pulled a beach umbrella Nationals card, along with a blue foil Miguel Vargas. Going to grab hangers from now on, but glad my blaster hit. (Barnes and Noble never fails)

Not sure if you're going to see this, but I went into my local B&N and i was looking for some hanger boxes. I didn't see any so I opted for one blaster, as I was checking out I spotted the hangers in a new location hanging up. I obviously couldn't return the blaster so I went home and ripped it. I pulled a 1989 Daniel Palencia auto. I pulled a purple speckle parallel, a rainbow, a blue, a hotdog, and 3 of the regular dotted holiday parallels. I also got one of the celebrity inserts, a HR challenge, and some other good name rookie inserts. Then again, I probably got super lucky and the sample size was only one box. I got the box for $24.95 with tax. I will probably stay away from blasters though, I just got really lucky.
My brother got me a blaster for my birthday and I pulled a De La Cruz Hidden Gem. Then I wasted around $500 on Blasters over the summer, nothing. Bought one Hanger at Meijer Friday and pulled a Cruz gold /299. I’m just getting back into the game after a 30 year lapse so this channel has been priceless to discover.

Blasters are bad at $30, they’re $35 at my local Walmart. Only other place to get blasters is 45 miles away from me. Def grabbing hangers. Did that for series 1 too.

Call me crazy but all products offered for series 2 are legitimately really good I’ve had amazing luck this time around in all formats. Love a lot of the new inserts/ SSP’s A lot of fun for a very reasonable price
Also my condolences, those blasters were trash compared to the 12 I opened lol I will say it was very hit or miss. In 12 blasters I had 3 hot dogs, an umbrella /50, 2 true photos, a team border, an Independence Day No names whatsoever but I mean for retail I couldn’t complain at all lol

I've seen quite a few of the SP rookies come out of the hangers the last few days. More than I would have thought, so makes me hopeful for pulling at least one. I like the idea of getting a holiday parallel of Yamamoto or Imanaga or Masyn Winn, and have seen several Imanaga's pulled, but those blasters did not impress at all. Hangers look better than S1. The Megas seem to have doubled the foilboards from an average of 4 to 8, based on what I've seen ripped. I had a few Megas in S1 that yielded 5 foilboards, and I believe they are the only spot to also get 1989 colored foilboards. The addition of the Aqua foilboard is another 139,650 parallels (in the base set) out there in a shorter print run, so those hangers are doing even better with those added in. Would be curious if there are parallels of the SP rookies, apart from the Fun Face variations. Also, is there some guide to how many of those Fun Face variations there are? Pricing seems to vary wildly, and how short are the short prints on the other 3? I've seen a lot more pulled that I would have thought. Curious what Wembys are going for given the absolute insane prices on his basketball cards.

Stryker I’ve bought 1 blaster and pulled a true photo out but I’ve heard blasters aren’t the best thinking I just got lucky with mine
