I'd opt for blasters, because the 13 boxes I would be buying over time and make it last. Can't drop $325 at one time for any format. I'll take my chances on the lesser odds for huge hits, if it means getting to open more often. For me, that's the fun of it. Awesome video as always!
My local Barnes & Noble had 3 blasters left, yet GameStop had a grip of blasters & fat packs (hangers sold out). Every local Walmart I’ve been to has had ZERO Update blasters, fat packs or hangers. I saw an eBay auction go off today for one blaster at $34.50 (+shipping).
The jumbo is only over priced because people buy cases and they say how much value are in them driving price through the roof. These were supposed to be 200
Update is my favorite release! I can only find retail hangers and fat packs at GameStop that are not overpriced. I can find blasters at Target and GameStop only at a reasonable price. Love the content!! Keep up the good work!!!

I'd take the jumbo box over the 13 blasters. But I'd take 26 hangers over a jumbo box or 13 blasters about any day of the week. The Jackson Holiday could possible pay for the break but it would need to get up on auction asap. Previous years with similar parallels have precipitous price falls after the newness wears off. This time next year that card raw may bring $40 even if Holliday continues to play well.

That was brutal. Thanks for speeding up the video during dry spells. Made it much more tolerable. Those paw patrol cards seem to be hitting pretty often for SSP cards. Most of the videos I've watched seem to get one. Thanks for the video. Really enjoyed it.
Got three blasters at GameStop for $24.99 each. Really good luck on the holiday parallels including a 5/10 Cats of Nick Ahmed. Not a big name but as all you rippers say, I will take it.

I ripped four blasters this morning and got a blue black gold of Chourio, Skenes base holiday and a blue speckle auto of Evan Carter. I went to 4 Game Stops today and got 10 Blasters and 3 hangers. Got half 1/4 money back lol. Did get a golden mirror veteran combo as well as Ohtani blue parallel and two ghosts a Jack o Lantern rookies as well as a Skenes regular Halloween A Paw patrol
Blasters are definitely the way to go, especially with the Halloween parallels, but it might just be because my last video I uploaded. I had a big hit in it, but I still think it’s the way to go.

Guaranteed autos and relics in jumbo are fine but usually not great players. In retail you’re getting so many more dart throws. What’s great about hobby and jumbo is the ceiling with blacks and clears. But if you get one it’s probably still not great. I think with retail you’re going to recover your expense more often but you have to sell a ton of 3-4 dollar cards to do it. I pulled a colt Keith golden mirror from one of my five target boxes which probably will pay for them by itself.
I'm trying to put together a parallel set like I did in 2022 update, and right now blasters and hangers are the best for that. Can't argue with 6+ parallels for $25

A buddy of mine pulled a Ben Brown auto, Yuki matsui black cats and a Don Mattingly HFA all out of the same blaster yesterday. Other than that I’ve not seen or heard of a lot of heat coming out of them. I’ve personally opened 10 blasters and I’ve not enjoyed the results.

If you are looking at pure value, blasters all day. With all the parallels the floor is a lot higher than a Jumbo imo. But the ceiling is higher for a Jumbo with the Autos and relics. Gimme the blasters as there is way more packs to open and lasts longer.
Gotta go with Jumbo because the ceiling is so much higher. Kinda surprised you didn't get an auto but would've expected the auto to be a 28 yr old pitcher.
You'll buy the 13 blasters and maybe pull 2 cards numbered under 500. Just based on how much we've seen opened the hobby and jumbo boxes offer actual chances of hits as opposed to the guaranteed mediocre pulls

I’d definitely take blasters. Sure, not a lot of hits, but plenty of chances. And if you get a cold jumbo, you ain’t gettin much as far as parallels. The auto and relics maybe, but rookie in a parallel all day.
Blasters if you want a more consistent level of hits, Jumbo if you want to gamble at a better chance at monsters. Especially with the loaded Jumbo boxes being out there. $300 is still overpriced though. Finally saw some blasters in store at Barnes and Noble and Target, but the GameStop by me had Blasters, Hangers, and Fat packs. I'm wondering if it is a coincidence that GameStop seems to be the only Retailer fully stocked with all 3 retail products, or if it has anything to do with promoting the new PSA relationship. It is strange to me no one else has had hangers or fat packs, but they have been selling them for a week+
I have already pulled 3 of those paw patrol PP2 cards, so I am guessing it will be a $5 card shortly. I ripped 9 fat packs today, they were very hit or miss for me. A couple had 0 inserts, some had as many as 4. Lot of # no name players, but did pull a nice gold debut of J Dom.
@@justbaseballcards5563 Short print by definition means more rare because the supply of them is way more limited than say a normal insert or parallel. I have hit both pp-1 and pp-2 and if anything, I probably could have sold pp-1 for more if I held because people understand that they are exponentially more rare than pp-2

Bought a Jumbo 2 days ago and got a Jackson Holliday Auto On-card 35th card, Steven Kwan Relic, Jung Hoo Lee Relic /199, Blue Star Anthony Rizzo Mystical, Trevor Rogers black /74, Mickey Mantle Topps Black Gold /299, Trea Turner Autumn Tales /75, Justin Foscue /99, Paul Skenes Let Him Cook, Jackson Holliday AC-22, Metro Boomin First Pitch, 4 Gold numbered, and some good silver mojo cards but not the greatest but something. The Jumbo is the way to go at the moment. I got it at $270 at my LCS but I know that was a cheap based on what they are going for now - but that was 2 days ago. This release is one of the best I've ever ripped. I have always loved the Chrome Platinum but 2024 Update is crazy good. Had an Elly /25 variation out of the Topps Chrome Jumbo this summer...2024 Update has been the best release I've seen in years.
Is it just me? Or is the QC at Topps really slipping? I've bought several blasters over the past few weeks and have received quite a few damaged cards. Some even really good cards that are damaged. It's ridiculous for the amount of money we're paying. I won't be buying anymore until Topps can get this under control.

I'd rather the jumbo, but it's nice to open all the different formats. I do think that the blasters are more on par with series 2 in that they just aren't that great. Hangers destroy them IMO for the price. I've opened 6 blasters and haven't gotten anything impressive. I mean I got a vintage stock of Emmitt Sheehan, that was about the best card.

There's 2 versions of it
Seen em everywhere on eBay. Down to $20 I think on some of them
PP-1 is the SSP, PP-2 is a mildly uncommon card
Pp2 is a SP. Much like a case hit. SP does not mean rare, just harder to get. PP1 is a SSP. That usually means 100 or less and VERY hard to pull.
