Great reaction. This was the half and half English-Japanese version that was on the Japanese release of the album and, as it was the official video, it had the studio audio on the footage from the live show.
Flying over the audience in a big triangle or pyramid was their way of getting as close to as many of the fans (especially the ones right at the back) as they could.
The international release has a full English version.
As they were touring the world they noticed how the fans had been learning Japanese to sing along with them. They were very touched and wanted to return the compliment, so they challenged themselves to learn a song completely in English. 'The One' is that song ... and The One is also what they call the fans - so in effect this is their love letter to the fans.💕🦊

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 BABYMETAL and BM's fanbase accept anyone for who they are. I, a 67-year-old Japanese, was accepted 4 years ago 😄 . This song is a kind of symbol of the embrace, I believe.
Some people said this song was a little bit too repetitive. But in their live performance you feel as if the length of this song were only 30 seconds and want to listen to it forever. I witnessed it total 10 times at venues. Whenever they performed this song, I saw divine beauty and heard angelic voices. Su's recent matured and richer voice sounds like hugging us all.

Not sure if you've seen much of these girls - but not really the best intro to them - this is a fan song. SO much better than the full American English version imo though - I understand what ppl say about her fan base etc but her voice in English...isn't anything that special (pls don't hit me :P). Good reaction :D

Her voice, even in English is nice, her English needed improving sure, but keep in mind, the song was relatively new and they learned the song in English just for the fans, so it was still a work in progress. Much as when the English fans sing the Babymetal songs in Japanese, I'm sure many Japanese hear our butchering of their language and probably cringe. Babymetal doesn't do that, they look and hear and say wow, look at these people, at least they are trying. They have so much respect for us that they want to learn how to sing our songs in our language. Let's try and do the same.
Just want to say also, I'm no "hitting" you or hating on you, just explaining a bit that considering that English is a work in progress, they did pretty good. If you hear Su speak English NOW, she sounds SOOOOO much better. Also keep in mind when she performed this song, she was I think 17 or 18 only. Also, not sure if you were aware, mostly just a did you know piece. But Moa is scared of heights and was pretty nervous for a large portion of this performance, but she still wanted to do it anyhow for the fans.

@@jeremyboynowski3784 Moa is scared of heights. That's the first time I've heard that. Maybe before this but after this for the start of the Legend M concert for her 20th birthday she came down solo from the rafters in the upper deck to the stage with the Babymetal logo like wings. I wish there was more footage of this. For a long time, all I could find was a still shot of it. But the Blue Ray of the concert has it. Sadly, even with that the footage isn't great. It's clear. But the angle isn't very good. If you ever get to see it. I think you'll understand what I mean. And even for this show. They were asked if there was anything they wanted to do for the show and they said "fly". That's how the pyramid over the crowd happened. Babymetal just wanted to get closer to the crowd and to the folks in the back and upper decks. If she is afraid of heights, I respect her even more for going through that for the fans.

@@stevechevy3382 Yea. I remember reading it somewhere, just can't remember where. You can kinda see it too though in the one music video. Yui and Su are all smiles in the beginning but Moa is only looking straight ahead and isn't looking at the people and forna while she isn't smiling either. It isn't until later in the song that she relaxes and starts smiling again.

@@jeremyboynowski3784 As a massive fan I do understand - and I'd guess her predominant Japanese audience probably love the English - and I like it scattered in her songs - there just seems something about the structure of the Japanese language that seems eminently suited to her voice - and (unfortunately :) I'm English and the American sound that can come from her if she uses too much English at once is somewhat...unsettling for me :P BM is my fav group (I'd given up on music pretty much until then...) - not listened really to anything else in a year 😏. Have fun!!

@@astrafaan I can appreciate that. It doesn't bother me though. Maybe it doesn't bother me because I worked in a restaurant that was in a trainstation. We used to get a TON of tourists coming and going all with different accents ranging from Japanese to Australian and everything inbetween, so I'm kind of used to hearing accents more. Who knows. But as I said, I can appreciate that.
