It's a Middle Eastern sound, not Indian. Shanti Shanti Shanti was Indian sounding. Having said that, I love this song. I'm a big fan of The Browning, which is electronic music mixed with Metal.
@@allegorical I admit, I'm not that cultured in Middle Eastern history or culture. Maybe I should have said Arab sounding? Either way sounds more Arab than Indian. They may be related, but there are differences.
Try Tibetan! Maybe you're trying not to offend China by mentioning Tibet, but it's what it is. Thank Led Zeppelin for bringing Tibetan music to rock music.
Listen to Snake Charmer, Punjabi bagpipes. Maybe you want to sound cool by calling it "Middle Eastern", but it's like calling Mongolian, Chinese, Cambodian, Japanese, and Vietnamese all "Asian" because you can't tell the difference. Punjabi or Tibetan would be more accurate. You're welcome.
"A very different song" .... "done in a weird way" .... "not typical" .... "outside of the box" .... "seriously this is the one people like the most?!" Come on Alan, we're BABYMETAL fans, all those things are way up towards the top of the list labelled "Reasons that we love BABYMETAL" surely.🤣🤘🦊🤘 METALIZUMIZUMIZU!
I can understand how this song might not be everyone's cup of tea but I absolutely loved it the first time I heard it. When that guitar came in, it made me do the stank face for the entirety of the solo. I usually listen to electro in the gym. It's pretty nuts that BABYMETAL would release a song that fits in my gym paylist, but I'm very happy they did.
I love Su's cadence in METALIZM ( I WISH we got more of it. a 3rd verse or something) Her vocal control reminds me of Shanti Shanti Shanti, just not as much effluxion. And the beat is sooooo good. The 2 guitar solo type shredding parts are going to be amazing live. VERY curious what the choreography for it will be like. Moa is going to KILL IT. I feel like this song NEEDS it's own costume. I think you were looking for Egyptian vibe. I really love Maya too. Tons of energy. So far METALIZM, MAYA, and Monochrome are my favs. Mirror Mirror will have to grow on me. It just feels like 2-3 songs mashed into one. Almost another TOTD to me personally. Just too much all over the place for me to get into a groove. I am sure seeing the Girls and the Kami band live will make it 1000% better though as they always do. Solid album yet again from BABYMETAL. Everyone will have their own favorites. I don't know what one is mine. I assume it will change over and over just like all the other albums. 🤘🦊🤘
Being a Metalhead who never paid attention to any EDM/Trance music out there... I am shocked that I like this so much lol But then, it's unlike anything else. What do you even call this, Middle-eastern Trance Metal?! METALI ZUMU ZUMU ZUMU!
Definitely middleastern/ Arabian vibes. I first thought they'd gone OTT on the production. But the more I've listened to the the more I appreciate it. An amazing album, how on earth do they follow this. That bar is getting higher and higher ladies. 🦊🦊🔥🦊🦊
I don't know if anyone else commented on this but I came back to this video just to comment on this: After the first "Metalizm zm zm" part, you can hear Moa's vocals at the back (1:42). What she is saying isn't included in the lyrics, but I was super curious, so I pressed my headphones to my brain to understand it with my not-so-fluent Japanese. When I translated what I heard, it meant "pillars and beams dance on the land". When you combine it with the lyrics, it seems to fit perfectly. The song talks about a metal king who floats through lands with his magic staff and wings. He is depicted as a deity, a powerful, mythical being. Thus, I think that his "music" is so mesmerizing that he makes "pillars and beams dance on the land" as he passes by those lands.
Nice reaction. I hope when they do this live, we get an extended version. It's just so cool. Song of the year that's what I think of it. With everything that's going on in it. They left plenty of play space. I can even hear possible vocal exchanges between Su and Moa and the crowd that would be amazing. With all the room to do more. I don't think they could ever get bored of performing this song. We could get multiple versions of this song over the years. Babymetal surprising us again and again. Babymetal doing things outside the box. Do they do that? Babymetal this is the way.
What I love about Babymetal is their sweet and beautiful "betrayal" in almost every song, you think you like one, you move on to the next all your expectations shattered, but you like it, forming new expectations and then get surprised again. 10/10 much educational.
You can not fault babymetal, for all the genres they follow. It is immense. I love this album, and every track on it. I would say, in my opinion, this is their best album.
I was also not into it at first since people really hyped it up but after just having time to think about it, is honestly just a happy beat to enjoy to. I appreciate that and I'm sure people will go crazy to it at concerts.
I love this song, my second favorite behind Monochrome, it sums everything this album is about, EDM, shredding, rich drum patterns, it has everything. It's a lot, it's massive! And it works so well! Just stuffing shredding in the middle of an EDM progression... this is so 😎! 🤘🦊⚡️
Notwithstanding Su and Moa's awesome vocals, this could be totally an Infected Mushroom song (been to both BM and IM twice each) - especially from their Vicious Delicious album/period. I love this Metalizm.
Middle East style vibe, Egyptian, dubstep, sci-fi, Electronic dance, pyro techno amazing guitar solo like Shanti Shanti Shanti with BxMxC rapping style Metarizumu zumu zumu etc.... BABYMETAL they always surprises people since from the beginning love to see there choreography and the production about this while the kami band playing this song is gonna be fire. 🔥

I love metalizm
Yeah, They were like, " Well, we haven't done pre-islamic arabic stuff yet,...just sayin'" Seriously every BM fan that did time in the gulf is gonna HATE the start with the Call to Prayer vibe. Looks like the only solo guitar were gonna get as well,...
Well, I don't think so. It's nothing like a call to a prayer. It just has arabic vibes.
I for sure like it ,as a muslim. 🙈
I don't think you've reacted to song THE LEGEND???
I did do it! I completely forgot about it
For some of us older generation might remember DR WHO from the 70s and early 80s the opening theme sound was a lot like the opening of this song.
It’s kinda like a Babymetal Rave.
So when can we expect a Dicodec cover to this song
Lol damn the guitar parts will be the easier part but everything else I am going to have to study and learn to get that sound design lol
