That trim name though... 'SX Prestige X-Pro' manufacturers love adding trim names. Coming 2025, the Kia Telluride Ultra Limited SX Platinum Prestiege X-Pro PHEV Organic Solar
Great review, and I completely agree with the comments. I have a 2022 Telluride SX/ Prestige Pkg that I love, but this new X-Pro trim confused me. It was a cheap attempt to go after adventurers who either live or like to go off road. Indeed, Kia has enthusiastically marketed this vehicle as if it was truly ready for off-road, and as much as I love my own Telluride, that claim is laughable. Lyn’s comments are spot on… it’s a great 3 row SUV, but X-Pro is more ‘trim package’ and less ‘off-road worthy’. I’ll use my Telluride as my daily rider, my Wrangler Rubicon for off roading and my S2000 for topless fun😊
Isn't that what all midsized crossovers with "offroad packages" are? If you're looking for a "true offroader", I suggest you look at a body on frame SUV that's about the size of this. There are quite a number of them in that segment.
Hype? True off roader? Lol come on… u had to watch another youtube to come up with that? This was primarily designed for family in mind, not off roading. Jesus christ…
Strange how US models get a basic AWD system. Canadian models have actual offroad modes such as snow, sand, rocks, etc. in addition to normal, sport and so forth.
Imagine if they were giga brain raised it 1.5 inches, slightly larger tires, really smartly designed underbody protection and put lockers front and rear. Then it would earn the right to the name: Pro-X4X HRD Z69 Trail Eagle
@@majnuprasadhola435 well actually nothing is needed to emphasize off-road prowess other than marketing and advertisement. These are mostly lifestyle vehicles for people who want to think about the idea of going off-road (and may dabble with some softroading at some point).
You might be surprised just how capable these unibody, AWD vehicles are. They can handle quite a bit, but yes, you are correct, most folks who purchase these are not taking them on anything more than a dirt road or uneven gravel, if anything beyond the Trader Joe's parking lot! Some of them could do more, but it's unlikely they'll ever be tested to any extreme.
@@kbblol we have all seen with enough determination, hippie types can get a clapped out 1999 VW Golf as far down those forestry service roads as any Telluride driver will.
You forgot to mention the ford Explorer timberline and Chevrolet traverse z71 and Hyundai Palisade XRT and GMC Acadia AT4 and Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro because they can also be potential competitors except for the Subaru Outback wilderness since it’s only a 5 seater
This is based on a car platform, fwd. This is not a truck. Anything else is purely for esthetics. Unless you feel that the Honda Pilot needs a V8 as well as the Traverse, Acadia, Pathfinder, Highlander, Ascent, and Palisade??
Thoughts on whether manufacturers need to make these off-road specific trim levels?
Hmm, seems more of an exterior appearance package and an excuse for manufacturers to charge more. 🤔

Kia Telluride Ultra Limited SX Platinum Prestiege X-Pro PHEV Organic Solar.....GT. 😆
"Organic solar" did my head in 😂😂
😂👌🏾
But is it non GMO?
😂😂😂

Some of these streets out here are so bumpy, this will work just fine. Off roading while only roading😂
I saw this model with another RUclipsr and it's all hype , not a true off-roader but just an appearance package at a 4k premium IMO

@@dhrudry1 i think that should be directed towards Kia Motors, I was given my comment in the ahhhh-comment section 😏
Driving sports tv already reviewed it and it's not an off roader, or soft roader. It's a gravel road at best.

It is strange, but has anyone actually tested both to see if they’re actual changes or just software fluff?
As nice as this is I would just skip the x-pro and get the x-line since the X-pro trim doesn't really add any additional capabilities.
It gets me up the curb, when Mall traffic is crazy.

Today’s episode of KBB is brought to you by the word ✨Substantive✨
… and who’s off-roading in a Telluride?
Same people that'll offroad a Range Rover

Lynn, how it’s possible that in every review you are getting more beautiful ? Great review by the way

So, given there are no functional changes or improvements all Kia did was make the Telluride look worse and charge more for it. Gotcha.
No love for the timberline?
Fair comment. That's definitely a competitor that could have been included in this video. Thanks for sharing!
Ford is 🤮
People could add lift kits later to increase ground clearance
Are they good in snow?
Canadian version has snow, mud and sand modes
Good job Lyn
This was a great vid. Well done!
Fantastic review Lyn!😸
why are you releasing a 2023 video when there's a 2024 Telluride? 🤔
They need to make a V8 Telluride.
like a transversely mounted V8?
This is based on a car platform, fwd. This is not a truck. Anything else is purely for esthetics. Unless you feel that the Honda Pilot needs a V8 as well as the Traverse, Acadia, Pathfinder, Highlander, Ascent, and Palisade??
They made something similar with the Mohave (Borrego, depending on your market) in 2009/2010. Almost nobody bought them.
8mins 52seconds to tell-u-(don't)-ride this rig. Just get the regular and be happy.
Kia missed the mark on this trim level. Major disappointment. Pass.
For that price just get a Mercedes GLB
Don't like electric-vehicles!
Meh still a Kia
This video eas obviously sponsored by Honda 😅 so not bias
I just can't take kia or hyundai seriously. My friends 2018 Sonata is a POS.
