In 1526, the Ottomans destroyed the armored knights and the crusaders in the Mohaç plain in Hungary in exactly 2 hours!!!they had these same armors on them😉😉😉😉 In addition, the Ottoman madmen took over the Belgrade fortress in exactly 15 minutes.🇹🇷🇦🇿The truth is what I wrote.
@@Trk407 In real battles it's more about the tactics and how the army is deployed, not necessarily what they're wearing. It's not up to them whether their commanders are competent or not. Also, knights aren't as common on the battlefield as you think, since most men-at-arms are more lightly armoured men with normal weapons and moderate armour. And ALSO, no, they're not wearing the same armour. That was the sixteenth century. The armour these guys are wearing, and that most IMCF participants wear, is thirteenth-fourteenth century.
Buhurt armor is based on designs of old armor, but made thicker to reduce injuries. New armor is better against dull weapon impacts, but old armor would be better for mobility and sustained fighting
Haha, most events don't pay anything. These fights at the Hideout usually raise money for a charity. The next big tournament is Carolina Carnage (Feb 3-5) with about 17 mens teams and 6 womens teams. After that it's the Arnold Sports Festival (March 3-5). There are plenty of smaller events all over the country, so you could check in with local teams to see when and where. There's Detroit Fight Club, Omaha Hell Hounds, Cincinnati Barbarians, Twin City Wyverns, Oklahoma Machos, Milwaukee Iron Stags, St Louis Legion of Honor, The New Order, etc
cool fight... tho some guy got squized into a fance wall ehh i would hate to get that ...such a iritating position to be at , cant move coz a guy weihts on you ant you are tired ,or just to high to move , hahaha so much fun in this most friendly and safe almost contact sport discipline . I mean just check it out what a ironu , guys do fights in a ring get more blod and damage that we do geting hit by a giant axe :DDDDDDDDDDD
There might be... there are teams all over (Michigan, Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Missouri, California, Wisconsin, etc). My team tends to have an event in a different place every weekend
@@timothyhines6220 I live in upstate New York and there's a team in the big city but it's just too far for me. With tournaments, do you guys make enough money from winning to attend the next one?
@@timothyhines6220 I actually found a Rochester team shortly after responding to you!! I used a few different key words and I found the only other group outside of NYC
@@FacetiousBean The tournaments usually raise money for charity, so if there is money that goes to the teams then I doubt it would cover travel costs for the fighters. I think most fighters pay expenses personally
I think just being able to do this in a setting is payment enough...I like to twirl daggers but if I do it where anyone can see me I have had police called on me twice and each time I had to explain that this is my own creative way of self expression and my exercise and I didn't have any other consequences than being asked to stop which most times I was done already. My blades are dull so they just look real and people are just way too concerned with what other people are doing. Be concerned if I approach or attack you with a knife...not when I am off in a rather remote area of a park doing my thing...I have to have grass because I don't want my daggers falling on cement and getting damaged. Unfortunately I don't have a back yard...which I probably couldnt even do it in my back yard without some neighbor calling a swat team. I suppose my option would be to attend an event and to have permission to perform as a side show act ...cause I'm really not into battle and physical harm stuff...I just think my daggers are pretty to watch when I twirl them around like a cheerleader twirls a bataan
I sure hope so... it would be really hard to run from the cops wearing armor. I'm kidding, it's a legal sport called buhurt that's popular in Europe. Weapons are blunted, dangerous strikes are prohibited, and we have marshals to watch for armor malfunctions. My doctor calls it an "extreme" sport, but the fatality rate is surprisingly low...

Brutal. No referee in ancient days. More death and fatalities. Badass though.
