People loved Chibi Salem placeholder a while back, they might change it.
cause he's narrating and right now a lot of fans r not the biggest fans of the original version. besides, if one tower goes down the entire system is shot is a huge cripple and he perfered it without considering Salem could take one down

@@danielzakgaim2764 Considering the limitation: no sattelite, and local relay constantly at risk, it's not that surprising though. If the internet of this world works via four antenna, then it's not surprising that one antenna going down means the end of internet. If i put only three battery in a machine that recquires four, it's not going to work
@@romualdcaffeserre6230 yay.. we dont know HOW the system works, what technology lies behind, it may very well BE so that it requires 4 signals to even function on an technical level, do you realy think Ironwood would transform Amity Arena into a satelite if he could not just rework the CCTS system itself to only require 1 Tower or something? it seems that the way these Towers operate requires at least 4 Main towers in itself, be it over some sort of resonance that increases their output, some connection to one of the relics, or simply something else. we dont know how it works,

Well, we burn fuel to get to space, they use dust. Apparently, dust only works on the planet and not elsewhere.
Getting into a theory I just came up with, what if dust comes from the god of darkness when he wiped out everyone, before the gods left Remnant? Maybe his magic crystallized?
@@iamstumped Thats... Exactly what happened when the gods killed all the people in the world when they rebelled against them. Dust is just essence of the old people in remnant. It was revealed in the wish ruby made in the lämp.

So dust stops working when it leaves Remnant’s atmosphere. They need an alternative energy source. What about electricity? We know they have electricity outside of lightning dust.
I imagine the Schnee's and other members of "big dust" are doing everything they can to hold back the development of alternative fuels.
Electricity? Okay, think logical. What method of propulsion do you have, that work on the electricity and why it's never used in the real world. Even nuclear powered ships are non science bullshit at the moment. Because you literally have no means to use that power, doesn't matter how big it is. So unless people in Remnant or IRL invent something like magnetic anti-grav system, that lets you to move at speed to leave atmosphere - it's not an option. Speaking of RWBY - maybe, just maybe, the Atlas relic has a power to work in space, cause it's a magical, of sorts, device.
@@Blackraven6 not only that but you also have to include the entire logistics chain too. For nuclear power, you'll have to have breeder reactors, mines, reactor rod assemblies, and more...
@@Blackraven6 Nuclear power can work. You can use the energy to basically push the byproducts of the Nuclear reaction, like an explosion. Ever heard of project Orion?

I think they stopped making RWBY Chibi to have more time and a bigger budget for the show. And if that will help make volume 8 better, than i am okay with that.

The thing is, the amity project would not leave Remnant's atmosphere. Therefore, the dust would not lose effectiveness.

No, they specifically couldn't use any Relics for it. Only the Staff can make stuff fly, and the Staff can't be in two places at once. They'd have to completely overhaul Atlas to not need the staff anymore, which is a much less lore screwy plan with the exact same result.

That WOULD be funny. However, I think they'll drop Atlas on it. It would be poetic that Atlas would rejoin Mantle on the ground, and would force Ironwood to start protecting instead of running.

@@PatchyMcSlashy I don't think that the writers care about realism. So I'm thinking about symbology instead of reality. But yes, you are right that they can't hope to defeat the Grimm, unless they receive massive reinforcements and/or Ozpin has a trick up his sleeve.

Remnant really went and forgot about the major benefits of decentralized Internet... But I guess the symbolism is nice.
My headcanon is that the small Ccts have very limited range with only the bigger ones being able to reach the other kingdoms.
@@vincegalila7211 this is outright stated actually. The main towers are the only ones able to transmit across to the other kingdoms. With the lack of satellite communications, there is no other way for this to happen given the Grimm factor.

Honestly though, if space flight isn’t possible because dust loses power the farther away it gets from Remnant, why is no one looking for a new type of fuel or energy so that they don’t have to rely on dust? They need to go to space, not because it is easy, and not because satellites would be convenient, but because I want to see space grimm!

Or go the Warhammer/Aliens route. Get as many people as they can onto ships, and then bomb the planet from orbit so hard that she wouldn't be able to gather the resources needed to follow.

Another thing I just realized is that the Relic housed by each kingdom is in each kingdoms' symbol
It should be possible to achieve orbit anyway, even if dust loses it's power when leaving the atmosphere, you just would have to achieve orbital velocity inside the atmosphere...which would become just slightly hot, but a few tons of ice dust should do the trick xD
And to achieve a stable orbit would be difficult, because if they only use dust, they can't make any alterations to the orbit. But didn't Yang tank gasoline into bumblebee? Then we would have a propellant, and I'm pretty sure, that they know of different gases, so they could propably build cold gas thrusters.
So in conclusion: Probably tons of dust would be needed, but I'm fairly sure it would be possible with their tech.
or just use conventional propellants, water exists in this right?
Of course most if not all of their tech is powered by dust.

You'd think they'd make more of those towers just to be sure they DON'T go off line when one is down?
"If the people of remnant are to speak, then they shall do so together, or not at all." I think if the CCTS gets rebuild at the end of the series, they *must* build one in Menagerie. The faunus have their own continent but aren't included in the land that the CCTS benefits. If mankind is going to be united again in remnant, I think that's going to end up being a big part of the discussions for how to do so, especially for Blake if team rwby gets caught up in the thick of it.

Well, it wouldn't matter anymore. Even if General Ironwood launches that CCT on the Vytal Tournament platform, those Grimm are still going to try and knock it off, leaving all of Remnant powerless with no means of communication again.

If reversed, the collapsing of the CCTS towers shown in the video dictates where the series would progress from beginning to end.
Wait, wait, wait... If Dust loses power the higher you go in the atmosphere... Oh. Oh no. Ironwood NO.
Current fan guestimations about where Dust loses power is above the stratosphere... which means even if you get up that high, you'll start to suffocate due to the lack of oxygen LONG before then (Zeppelins that got fairly high up started to have oxygen deprivation related problems later in the war as they kept climbing higher).
@@TheTrueAdept Regardless of the flaws in Ironwood's plans, I don't think that's one of them. I'm pretty sure that the way Atlas is made is meant to keep oxygen supplies for some time (though I may be misremembering the way he explained it, I'll have to watch the episode again.) But even if they do reach that point, Salem could potentially create some Grimm to get that high and if she does then all the Dust-powered weapons will be useless, Semblances will eventually be depowered by Aura depletion. Atlas low-key fucked.

Just had this thought, what if the trail of Dust chunks from the moon create a gravity corridor around certain times of the year. Allowing Dust powered space craft to follow the "Dust Corridor" and land on the moon still able to use Dust since the moon is Dust. Right?

I love how poetic it is we must speak together or not at all but I just have to ask .....what competent engineer made such a huge design flaw? If one kingdom cannot speak then logically the other 3 would realise this work together make a plan see what's happening and come to that kingdom's aid but if the entire system shuts down then unless the chaos is being live streamed by TheOne727 then the other kingdoms would have no idea what Kingdom is being attacked again I love how poetic but it is such a big design flaw

Did anyone else notice the earth dragon at 1:39
So it basically a same tower but now it output in higher power so it can reach longer range . Don't know what frequency and bands they're using but using high frequency is long range is inefficient as they can't travel very far unless you have a very high power antenna build up for that. Well. AM tower already scary in terms of power output. Not to mention how Remnant tower could be.
What if all of these were doings of Ozpin in the past decades or even centuries in Remnant?

I will still believe that Salem's Lair is the darker part below of Anima... Because three reasons
1: The Darker part of Anima is purple, and The Land of Darkness is full of Gravity Dust and the waste land is purple
2: When Tyrian was injured, don't tell me he walk from Anima to the Dragon Continent, unless he used a vehicle
3: Watts. Tell me how did Watts outrunned Team RNJR when the team is now few miles away from Mistral and he outrunned them from Dragon Continent to Mistral... Unless he has a Hypersonic bullhead or he is flash who has speed run
So, Atlas created the internet.
The CCT is an interesting and great idea in Remnant. The problem is why do they need 4 towers to work as that is the most idiotic thing that is ever done. They could have made it that 2 towers to work instead they went with this and the results speak for themselves.

Why does it feel like Ozpin set up this up? Like a fail safe in case humanity wasn't ready at some point, like I'll destroy one of the towers if I don't get my way.

Dust itself fails, however the Staff of creation, which is the cornerstone of the Amity project doesnt directly acts with dust~~however any dust powerd machinery woudl just be hunks of metal,~~ as well as it would only fail at a high enough altitude, iirc Ironwoods plan was to put the Arena just outside of the reach of any grimm but still below the Point where dust was completly useless
