This was my first time cruise a week ago (I live in FL, so 3 hour drive away). I had a great time. Spent $500 with drink package. No issue with smells, etc. and it was basic, decent food. I enjoyed it and hope to get back on it within the next couple of months. They are adding a 4 day cruise option and a second ship sailing out of Tampa by around June, I think. I appreciate this cheaper option
We sailed last month & are going again in a couple of weeks. We loved it, but that's because our expectations were low & the only extra we got is that we shared the premium 10 drink package. Our cruise was 2/$89 and we are returning on a "free" cruise. We were surprised that the food in the formal dining room was good & so was the entertainment. The only negative we'd give is that the water tasted off but you're really only on the ship 2 nights so it wasn't a big deal. So we drank alcohol & fruit juice. Lol We live only an hour away, so this is a really inexpensive day trip to freeport. We jokingly call it spirit cruise line (because of the base fare & all of the extras). If you want fancy, book Royal Caribbean. That's actually all I've ever sailed on before (for reference - oasis class) PS: we did excursions on our own, not through the ship. If you aren't adventurous, there's trip advisor to book excursions, which is cheaper
We went just a few weeks ago and I suggest you set your expectations to what you paid. There are plenty of cruise lines that offer better quality and onboard options that might be better suited to you. As a Florida resident I would go again anytime. My stateroom was clean and spacious enough to handle my family of 4. We limited additional spending, we only got a Lola’s cheese pizza for $10. The biggest cost was the offshore excursion which I think it’s worth booking ahead of time to get the small discount, every penny counts. There were so many food options if you can’t find something to eat your being too picky, if my kids can eat who have like 3 food categories they eat did not complain. I prefer lightly seasoned food, I keep a low sodium diet but if you want more salt -add it. Fins didn’t require a reservation it’s just 2 meal times 5:45pm and 7:45pm just get in line. There’s plenty of entertainment to keep yourself busy, let’s face it you’ll have fun if you make it fun. We can find anything wrong with everything, kept perspective.
Lol.. I'm on the ship right now. Everything you've said in all your videos is pretty accurate. I booked a 90$ cruise and almost ended up spending $500. The additional fees they pile on after you add the solo license to chill should be a crime, tbh.Unless you're a big drinker, I don't recommend any of the packages. Just pay the basic fair and add what you think you like while you're cruising. Margarittaville doesn't believe refunds, And they charge for EVERYTHING! The "complimentary"salon wanted to charge me $100 for a basic pedicure.. THAT ALSO COMES WITH THE PACKAGE! I like the cruise but the robery is too much for me. I'm leaving with a bitter taste in my mouth.
Saw this video when I did a search for the cruise. You two are a cute couple! Thanks for sharing. We booked for a Fri-Sun cruise in two weeks, so out of everything you said in that 46:55 video, the poop smell is making me want to cancel. LOL!! I'm hoping they got it fixed by now, or something because IDK if I can handle taking a shower in that, or brushing my teeth. Might have to go to the spa for those. Thanks again!
Im going with my sister first week of May. We are only 2 hours away so I'm looking forward to it and honestly not expecting to much due to the price but hoping they have improved some things in the last 6 months.
Hey guys. This is a great and fair review. If and when we retire to Florida and it’s still 2 for $99 like I’ve been seeing; it’s a quick getaway. And will be mindful of the upgrades.
Ok so I won’t ever hop a plane from Chicago for this cruise, but if I’m ever local and can catch that $99 deal I’ll go for it! Thanks for the thorough review!
RUclips suggested your video. I don’t cruise. I saw the Magaritaville ship headline… so I watched. Watched the whole thing. You both are awesome and the info you give is honest and complete. Keep up the great work. Gotta ask though - were those wine list prices by the glass? $125 for a glass of Caymus…? Yikes.
Your review gives a great overall idea of what to expect. If a person is interested in cruising on this ship ( history major and not I 😂), I'll refer them to this video . Love you both ❤
I had watched another review about Margaritaville at Sea cruise and they received a fuel surcharge at the end as well. Their opinion about it was that the ship could hold 1700 passengers, but only about 500 were there and they thought the charge was added on due to this.
I noticed that people with suites get to go to the license to chill stand as well, do people with suites also get to go to VIP lounge? thank you..great video
It really was like a college fair! LOL. Yes...I actually liked the dining on this ship better than Wonder of the Seas (gluten free)....lol. Oh I agree...this was some of the BEST cruise ship entertainment I've seen. Amazing shows! Yes, their performers interacted more than I've seen on other ships. I agree...I don't think this is a cruise for someone to fly in for unless they're doing the cruise and stay in Bahamas. I would do it again because I'm only an hour away.
Thank you for the feedback. This ship is a perk for Florida residents. I'd be willing to try again if changes are made. But with all that said. I had a good time
LOL, I had a good chuckle about the glass and plastic taste. Been here in other circumstances. Yummy "forever chemicals" with your paralyzer. ;) Cheers and thank you for the video!
This isn’t a ship or cruise line I’d even consider giving my money to. I’ve seen way too many bad reviews all around the same time oddly. I work too hard for my money to eat cafeteria school food and not even have the same amenities I have access to at home. That’s not my idea of a vacation, that’s a down grade from everyday life.
well considering the ship is just a 2 day cruise for that price, it’s not bad! I just came back from Celebrity Cruise for 5 days and it was 5 Stars! but if I only had 2 days I would definitely go on this cruise! I’m a traveler so it’s all about the adventure meaning if you’re a positive energy person you’ll have fun!
Okay, I am very confused about this cruise. This is my first one. I have traveled abroad three times by plane. Please take that in mind when I say this has turned out to be more expensive than I anticipated? With all of the fees this almost $1300 (ocean view $119, 4 payments of $87.50 (admin fee), port and service fee, now resort fee and resort tax ($89+$19=$525.95 for UNAVAILABLE Wyndham, that we thought we booked already on the website)), and not with the resort that we had wanted. With Wyndham it was all inclusive. Now unavailable. When we booked we were to book based on availability. They told us now it was unavailable based on our booking. Now our only option is Taino. Is all of this normal???? I don't think I will ever go on a cruise again. I would rather just travel my own way. Less of a headache and false promises. 😂😂
All of that is not normal. This is the first time that we have experienced extra expenses that could not be prepaid. We have cruised with other cruise lines and they include stuff like fuel charges in the fees. This is a first for us as well. We we shocked at the added fees after the fact as well. Even with that said on some major cruise lines be prepared to pay for things like specialty dining and drink packages, wifi, etc. But depending on the line none of that is necessary. Thank you for giving us an update on your experience. Do you mind if we share it with our viewers?
There was no issue with the septic issues on the 6th floor. Other than that, the review is accurate. We upgraded to the celebration package and it was wonderful for the price. Everything was spelled out ahead of time for extra charges, so we were well prepared.

It's a great option if you live in Florida. We hope to do the new ship out of Tampa
@@BigDonJuanRon $500 bucks on a cruise. $250 a day could make things appear better.

We agree on all those points. If we lived in Florida, we would do it more often

Guys, you can salt n pepper to your heart's delight if it's missing from your meal. Some would actually prefer to add their own for various reasons.
Thank you for the review. I'm thinking about going on the cruise for my birthday next month. It'll be my first cruise too! I took notes..lol
Happy birthday in advance. It's a fun time if you can deal with the other stuff

🤣. I hope they have fixed that issue. Good luck, where it may be lacking in some areas and it was still a good time
I must say you to were very generous about the review. Cup half full / cup half Empty. . Looked like the cup was bone dry.
The bathroom situation would’ve taken me out 😵💫🤣
😆 🤣 😂
Thank you for making a series on Margaritaville at Sea. I'm considering booking this cruise next year. Did you do any gambling on the ship?
We didn't do much. At least not as much we usually do
Im going with my sister first week of May. We are only 2 hours away so I'm looking forward to it and honestly not expecting to much due to the price but hoping they have improved some things in the last 6 months.
We hope you have an amazing time
Hey guys. This is a great and fair review. If and when we retire to Florida and it’s still 2 for $99 like I’ve been seeing; it’s a quick getaway. And will be mindful of the upgrades.
Thank you for watching. It's an easy call if we lived in Florida

Thank you Auntie! We appreciate you
Why wasn’t the fuel surcharge added to the initial cost of sailing? I’ve never seen it added to your expense account.
Yes, that was definitely different for us as well
I had watched another review about Margaritaville at Sea cruise and they received a fuel surcharge at the end as well. Their opinion about it was that the ship could hold 1700 passengers, but only about 500 were there and they thought the charge was added on due to this.
Is the boba tea included in the soda drink package? Are complimentary drinks available if I don’t get a drink package at all?
I'm not sure. We don't drink Boba, so we didn't look for it as an option
I noticed that people with suites get to go to the license to chill stand as well, do people with suites also get to go to VIP lounge? thank you..great video
Anyone can get License to chill.
Frank and Lola’s pizza is not complimentary on the cruise?
Nope! It's a specialty restaurant that you have to pay for.
They allow you to go to the spa to shower even if you aren’t purchasing spa services?
At that time, yes. We had a different circumstance. I'm not sure how it works for everyone
Woo hoo!!!the School burgers 🍔 lol I would much rather have a Guy's burger too..No Pardise there lol 😂
😆 🤣 😂
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽❤️🇺🇸🥰💥👼🏾👍🏿
Thanks for watching
Hey, I met you guys in the elevator on MSC!
Hey Gary. Thanks for stopping by to say 👋
Been on weekend trips before and too short to expect elegance
but good for value. Bahamas not my favorite port but stay on ship and experiences ok
Totally agree

Wait is sizzler still around?
Oh yeah
Confuse did you say you had to pay for breakfast?
In the MDR.. Yes
My first job was at Sizzler 🥩😂
🤣
I never got in the elevator
You weren't missing anything lol
🤣@@ParkersOnTheGo
I don’t think I could sail on Margaritaville at Sea.
Definetly Understandable
Small steak
Sounds like the food is being done by some retired lunch lady cafeteria workers.... yikes!
Seems like you shouldn’t recommend it to nobody! Who wants to smell poop and have a broken bathroom all cruise!😅😅
Either way someone will still cruise. Trust us! We know. 😆

Awesome! I am so happy they got that fixed. It does make for an unpleasant experience.
