Judges giving lenient sentences, or no sentence at all but a fine and slap on the wrist is a massive problem. These teenagers will then just go out and do the same thing again a couple of weeks later....and will again get pity shown on them. It's a neverending cycle. The judges don't appear to be making things easier for the police. It's almost as if they're working against them.
I got hit off of my motorbike by a drugged up driver with no driving license & therefore no insurance or tax. Broke my back in 2 places, dislocated & shattered by shoulder. He got a driving ban for a year (what does that matter, he never had a licence before what would stop him in the future)? and like £600 fine. That's it. For breaking my back and smashing my shoulder. It's disgusting. These need harsher punishments.

@ThomasK9133 I think you need a life lesson in right and wrong, driving without a licence, or under the influence of drugs immediately voids any insurance you may have had. It is also extremely dangerous to drive without a licence, I know a family member of mine was killed by someone who was driving without a licence.
I have no idea of the conclusion but based on other Police shows where they tell you at the end what sentence they receive. He'll be given a ban (even though he holds no licence) and a small fine (paid by the taxpayer because he's on benefits) and a suspended sentence.

Inarguable start to finish video showing everything done and said is "insufficient evidence" Clearly courts on the criminals side! Taking from the poor giving to the rich! Criminals are the victims, victims are the criminals!
Which is fine, until all the criminals know they can use the roads with complete impunity. London had a policy to "not chase" motorcycles, which led to a massive increase in moped-enabled street robberies and car jackings. They since changed their policy to allow their cops to pursue and ram them off the bikes - guess what? Moped-enabled crime plummeted. As long as police pursuits are managed and risk assessed well, they are a necessary evil to reduce serious crime and deny criminals the use of the road.
Very little damage actually, cosmetic, front bumper which is what they are designed for. The wall took the brunt of the force deceleration, which is what you want. A decent technician can rectify minor scratches and dents for next to nothing
@@TheSpotify95 The police will treat any damage to your stolen car as the fault of the theives. That's a separate court procedure, but in short - the theives are paying for the smashed windscreen as well.
This is the result of soft consequences. STOP referring to stealing someones transportation to their job, as joyriding! The name downplays the severity of the crime.
All the comments about the courts should pass harsher sentences on these criminals are forgetting one thing. The courts can only pass the sentences decided by Parliament. The courts do not have total discretion. Their hands are tied. Harsher sentences can only come by lobbying your MP.
