Following a burglary in Bradford, the Yorkshire Traffic Cops are out in force chasing a stolen Golf R.
The Golf R’s 300hp engine makes it extremely difficult for the police interceptors to stop it. After over an hour and multiple stinger attempts later, the car is still on the run playing cat and mouse with multiple road units… but can this Bradford bad boy outrun the police helicopter?
The four-wheel drive, 2-litre, turbocharged VW reaches speeds up to 150mph, but will it be able to outrun the NPAS’ (National Police Air Service) thermal imaging equipment?
Little do they know, the police are dealing with the self-proclaimed ‘best driver in Bradford’…

Unfortunately i found myself in a similar situation a year and a half ago in my M5 with cleveland police, craziest thing i've ever experienced, lesson learnt..
At the time i was surprised they never decided to throw me on the floor and all that, I suppose when you fully surrender there's no need, kudos to these police for not crossing the line. Glad no one was hurt!
What was the lesson? spend more time on the track and learn to drive? Learn the roads better?

This is how someone should be arrested when they have given up. Too many times I’ve seen people happily give up and are very visibly not a threat but still get battered by like 10 officers.

Bullshit. Any use of force has to be justified. All injuries are inspected by a doctor and documented. To use force on a passive, compliant suspect is an assault- and criminal charges are liable. No sane police officer conducts him/herself in the manner you allude too. You are full of it.

It’s pretty cool how you can see the infrared difference between the Golf and regular cars, Golfs been driving been ages so tyres are hot.
Tyres that are driven hard through corners for an extended period of time can reach temperatures of 40-50°c, even a couple of spirited corners will have tyres warm to the touch. Brakes on the other hand after a few stops from high speed will see the discs reach temperatures of 400+ Celsius, in some pursuit videos you might even see the brakes glowing red. Really lights up the car on thermal imaging for sure.
So they're allowed to be sick in public without getting fined but if members of the public do it we get £80 fines.

You don't need your rights read to you that's just some dumb TV show type stuff... they said they're arresting him and what he was being accused of, and would have showed and read his rights at the station so he can decide if he needs a lawyer etc.
You must be told your rights upon the arrest such as the right to remain silent, otherwise anything you say until the point you are read them can be dismissed in court due to the fact you were unaware that you could have stayed silent.
My lawyer has got me off on this exact thing before, maybe different from where you guys are but from my opinion this would not stand.

True. I’m actually from where this was filmed and what surprised me was seeing more than one police car. Seeing police out is a rare sight.
If you’re a victim of a burglary the police will do nothing, just give you a reference number over the phone and then close the case. And the police have made no difference to the dangerous driving in Bradford, people drive how they want as they’ll never be stopped. If you submit dashcam footage, nothing will happen.

Our police are the best in the world. These guys put themselves in danger almost every day of their lives, yet they are still polite and professional. The UK Police should receive higher pay than they get now. Like any organisation, there are a few bad apples who get the rest a bad name. However, the vast majority are genuine and deserve respect.
Say what you want, he schooled the Yorkshire police, and had some of the best quick thinking and down to the minute decisions. Might sound like a chav, but he was very intelligent with his decisions to last more than an hour playing Pac-Man. I 100% agree he would’ve smoked the cops and lost them if it wasn’t for the chopper. Still doesn’t make it right, but credit where it’s due.

To outrun an ec135 you need to maintain some serious speed to outrun it it does 170mph approx can be even more with tailwind, you need a serious bit of kit, in a golf r you won’t outrun you can hide it tho

@@paulg5811 exactly that mate, there used to be an advert that expressively said you do not have to move, we will find our way around you. they get plenty of training and yes, if you break the Highway Code, for example you end up in a box junction as a result of moving out the way of blues, you are still liable to pay that fine and you wont get it thrown out.
